When will I learn that C takes his bedtime seriously? He still slept a decent stretch once we got home but then was up every hour after that. Now he's refusing to nap but he's being adorable and talking to himself in the swing mirror. He's going to want a bottle soon so maybe he'll finally fall asleep.
I made coffee an hour ago but still haven't had a cup.
dashook I love when they can sit up and watch things from a whole new level, you can almost see their minds working. We put J in the bumbo on the kitchen table when we are eating, she absolutely loves it!
We did this with the sit me up and he was having a blast! His new favorite thing is watching us cook from his high chair.

96.73% sure that H has the flu. I've gone from laughing at him for being dramatic to concerned and feeling like an asshole because he's so sick. Oops
The big dogs have to get baths today because the vet is coming to the house on Tuesday. H was supposed to do it because they're assholes...but, sick. I better drink first so that I don't lose my mind.
Hi! After two years and 5 months, I am *this* close to getting all our trim painted!!!!! One coat left in our master bath and then I'll be doing my victory dance.
DH took both kids to Costco this morning and lived to tell about it. Apparently the 3 y.o. "demolished" a 1/4 lb hotdog. We may be shopping for groceries there sooner than we think. I fear for our grocery bill someday 😳
sophiegrace Sorry to hear your H has the actual flu and not just a man cold. Hope he feels better soon. I know it's tough to be sick when you work in healthcare--lots of pressure to be there regardless.

He reschedule a ton of people from Friday to tomorrow thinking he'd be all better after the weekend and now he's worse and can't not go in. I feel terrible for him.
I'm so excited for you to have that trim done. I hate painting with a passion so I can almost feel how wonderful it's going to be once you're finished. And...1/4 pound hot dog?! I'm not sure I could finish that! That's hilarious.
So freakin tired. I think I was up 10-15 times with E last night. 8 times between 9:30 and midnight. I seriously don't know what to else to try. We have her 4 month appt on Wednesday so hoping the doc will say we can start some sort of sleep training. Little girl looks so sweet asleep in my arms right now but mama is jealous.
We persevered this morning anyway and went to O's soccer then brunch with friends. When nap is over, we're headed out for some shopping.

Noooo to all the regressing!!
No no no!!!
waitwhat yours in particular scares me because our kiddos are so close in age. I thought we were over the worst of the regression and I'm terrified that was just a warm up. I can't do the every 45 minute thing again.
Wtf to the nap ruining blow outs we've had for the third day in a row?!! Whyyyyy?
That always seems to be what wakes C from a nap. OMG on Friday after his shots he had finally fell asleep, then woke up and pooped then fell back asleep. I didn't know what to do so I left him to sleep for a little bit. Bad idea!! It was everywhere and went right through his clothes and swing cover.
FFSC: last night MH said he'd help with wakeups since H is off the boob now. The first couple of wakeups I just put the paci back in his mouth so MH would have to feed him later. I've been doing it for 4 months..now it's your turn.
Did this last night as well. He's been pretty good sleeping lately but last night was waking up every hour. I used the paci a couple times until H finally woke up and fed him.

I know. I really thought we were in the clear since he's 4.5 months but the last 3 nights have been awful. If I remember correctly, this is how it was with B. I had to settle him about 3-4 times in an hour before he would actually go down for the night. And then the multiple makeups, fighting naps. Solidarity, sister. It does get better even though it feels like it never will.
We're still battling bedtime, but have gotten back to the 2-3 hour stretches once she finally succumbs to a good sleep. That's hard enough. The every 45 minutes/1 hour wake ups did last almost an entire month though so I'm praying that was the regression and she's finally getting in her groove. I have noticed that she starts to wake up and puts herself back to sleep so maybe that's a good sign?? Hopefully? She's not in her swaddle anymore either which thrills me.

I waited once.
Three laundry loads later I decided not to ever do that again.
Ugh and they say that poop gets nastier when solids are started. Can't wait.

Sorry about all the sleeping problems! I was up every 2 hours as well because O is so sick! 101.5 fever, congestion, cough, sneezing, dhiarrea, pink eye in BOTH eyes now! We got it all over here! Spent 1.5 hours in urgent care this morning to be told it's most likely a virus and to ride it out. O is obv not going to daycare tomorrow. I was going to have my mom watch him but I might call in. I knew I should have taken my comp home on Friday!
starbuck27 Excluding them having colds or going through what I think was a growth spurt/leap A and A kind of stagger and are only consistent in that they seem to take one large bottle MOTN, one large bottle in the morning, and one large bottle right before bed.. something like this:
Alec 5am (wake up) - 6 oz 7:30am - 3 oz 10:00am - 6 oz 12:00pm - 3 oz 3:00 pm - 3 oz 5:00 pm - 3 to 6 oz 8:00 pm - 3 to 6 oz 11:00 pm - 2 oz 1:00 am - 4 to 6 oz 3:00 am - 2 oz
Adeline 4/5 am (wake up) - 4 oz 7:00 am - 5 oz 9:30 am - 3 to 4 oz 12:00 pm - 4 oz 2:30 pm - 2 to 3 oz 4:30 pm - 2 to 3 oz 6:30 pm - 5 oz 9:00 pm - wake up no bottle 11:00 pm - 4 oz 1:00 am - 2 oz 3:00 am - 2 oz
Also if anyone has any idea how to get them to improve their eating I am all ears. Because I never know how much they're going to want, I always give Alec 6 oz and Adeline 5 oz. maybe once or twice a day they finish that. The rest of the time I am wasting a shit ton of money.
We are back home after dinner at my parents', and I'm trying to get C down. She is still sleeping well overnight, but getting her TO sleep the past few nights has been trickier than usual. I'm not complaining and if this is her version of the 4-month sleep regression, I'll be thrilled; I just would like to not be trapped in here in the dark for 1-2 hours each night.
Also, I finally finished the trim painting. I have quite the sense of accomplishment--sweat equity and all that--but seriously, never again. I am hiring that sh*t out next time, lol.

Wow kleigh! That looks exhausting. I pretty much followed C's lead with his feedings. He has consistently been taking a bottle every 3 hours so once he would start crying for food sooner or not seeming satisfied after a bottle, I knew that I should bump him up an ounce. It usually started with me making his normal amount then making an additional ounce or two after. But C is handling these amounts without a lot of spit up so I'm not sure how A&A might be. I'm not sure that helps but all I can think is to slowly start to increase the amount per bottle and hopefully they start to go longer in between.
ETA- Sorry, I just reread your posts and see you're already offering more but they're not always taking it.
