I think we tried a thermometer instead of the that thing you listed. Doesn't need to go that far. Then we went into the shower and let the warm water hit her back. She pooped maybe 3 minutes after coming out of the shower. Also, not the football hold but a frog hold -- like you are playing leap frog helps. Eventually we have to give her probiotics but she was a month or 2 old at that time.
I have some of those from the same kit. Does anyone have any advice using them? I was scared to push it to far in and cause damage, so it didn't do anything.
No advice, but the Mom's at my my mom group were raving about it! They said you push it in, there is a whistle and then gas/some poop comes out.

renegadewhit if he's nursing at all, check his latch. He shouldn't be taking in a lot of air, but if he has a lazy latch, he could be. (Disregard if you are doing all bottles, obviously.)
No real advice, but wanted to let you know you aren't alone. Both of my kids have been gassy. Sometimes bouncing them a bit seems to help or keeping them upright, but mostly just wait for it to pass.
