How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? I'm still tired. Where is this second tri energy that's supposed to happen?? Otherwise I've started gaining some weight so my guess is that I'll be in maternity clothes soon.

I saw in the Target ad today that if you call they'll help you get a free breast pump through your insurance. I called because I figured, why not? Of course they are close on Sunday, open Monday-Saturday. It would be great to get one through insurance. Has anyone done this?

king26, yes I got one with my first. You can also just call your insurance directly and they will guide you

king26, I'm sorry to hear you too are struggling with being so tired still. I am too, and keep thinking "where is that 2nd trim energy boost everybody is talking about". While I wish we both had found that can of energy already at the same time it makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one. Also, how neat that your insurance offers a free breast pump! Here the only thing we get for free through insurance is a labor kit (think maternity pads, mattras cover, alcohol, sterile gazes, cord clip.. fun stuff like that lol)!

How far along are you?
17w3d - baby is the size of a pear. I was curious about the size of my ute but as easy as it is to find a comparison overview for babies size, I have yet to find one for ute size lol. Apperently my ute is about the size of a small melon by now?

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?
Still so very tired.. but apart from that I'm doing okay. As I wrote in the previous check-in I had a bit of a freak out/panicky moment while at the OB/MFM office last Friday, and was offered a U/S for reassurance, which was great!

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week?
Nope still waiting till the end of March (the 27th) for our anatomy scan, appointment with the OB/MFM and cardiologist. Full afternoon of appointments at the hospital,  joy!

I took a pretty nasty fall yesterday before dinner when I tripped over one of the cats (...). I had a lot of mild cramping afterwards, which freaked MH&myself out a little but I kept telling myself it was okay and just from the stress and pain of the fall. I fully landed on my knees and hands and nothing hit my belly. I did hurt my knees pretty badly, esp my left knee is all bruised and swollen and I can only limp right now lol. Spent the rest of the evening on the couch resting and luckily today I haven't had any cramping. We call this type of cramping "harde buik" in Dutch, is this what is called Braxton-Hicks in English? However I have been having odd crampy shoots down my cervix/vagina this afternoon after we did some gardening. I took it easy the rest of the afternoon and evening (it's 9pm here now) but it's still happening, maybe even more often then earlier on. Any of you STM+ ever experienced similar symptoms? I may pop by the OB/MFM department on Tuesday at work and see what they think, just for peace of mind.

QoTW:  Hah maybe I should come up with a QOTW I actually have an answer on myself. TBH I honestly haven't a clue what I'd do!?!

Physically I feel good. Emotionally, I'm doing ok. I'm just a little worried about this BP issue but I've been checking at home and so far it hasn't been too bad. In the high normal range. So I'm just waiting to hear what MFM is going to say.

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week?
MFM consult on Tuesday then back to OB on Wednesday to f/u on MFM recs.

Not at the moment, thanks.

We announced this week. It feels like a relief but also makes me feel more nervous somehow!

QOTW: Gosh, I have no idea! All I can think of is sneaking into places, but that also seems creepy, lol!

king26 muscari I hope you ladies find your energy soon. I don't feel overly tired but I'm not full of energy. I'm like.... at a 4- 5? I was hoping second tri would have me full of energy like an 8? I guess not..

muscari I obviously know nothing about BH but take it easy! I've been having random cramping and more RLP so I'm just taking it easy. If it doesn't let up I'd definitely go get checked out on Tuesday!

cali I'm sorry your BP is being a little elevated. I hope your appt w your Dr helps give you a better idea of the plan and helps calm you.

How far along are you? 17+1

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? Okay. Been having mild cramp like pains that freak me out but then they go away so I'm like phew! Then they come back. And RLP keeps coming and going. We went out couch shopping today and the constant sitting and standing and sitting and standing while testing couches out really started to irritate my underbelly so I finally decided I was only sitting if DH loved the couch. I have a headache that will not go away. The last week has been so annoying. Just nonstop despite eating enough, sleeping enough, drinking water, and taking Tylenol. I'd like to just crawl under the covers for a bit.

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? Nope. Not til march 30

Anything else you'd like to share? We are in the middle of buying a condo. Had the home inspection on Thursday and he sent a 58 page report 😳 Some are no big deal, some are very big deals. We will see what happens. It's so overwhelming!!

Also we decided we need new living room furniture, bedroom furniture, and duh a nursery, so DH keeps having money meltdowns. And everything I like is too expensive 😭😭😭

QoTW: What would you do if you were invisible for a day? Oooooh I have no idea. Try to be a creeper and find out what people really think of me? Or maybe follow someone really famous around. Or go do a bunch of stuff that costs a lot of money- like aquariums or some museum or something. Idk!!

Pretty good overall. I still get really tired after working all day so I'm trying to make sure I lay down and rest for a bit when I come home. I've also had a heavy feeling in my uterus the last couple days - just a weird feeling.

MFM on Tuesday and OB on Wednesday.

I'm starting to notice more movement. Not completely consistent but usually once a day I can feel a "shifting" sensation.

I would probably hang around at home (because I wouldn't want to be some weird creeper) and just freak my dogs out.

addymac, we went couch shopping yesterday and OMG! Who knew sitting and getting up could be so exhausting? The furniture store we went to was 3 acres. Normally, I would have thought that was awesome . . .

I will be 20 weeks on Tuesday and we have the anatomy scan on Wednesday. MH insisted we wait until then to find out the sex. I am curious to see if it is a boy like I think.

Otherwise I am feeling the baby kick a lot and think MH might be able to feel it soon.

Man, I go from go from giddy to crying to rage at the drop of a hat. My hormones are completely out of wack. Physically I am tired as all hell and I can't seem to stop eating, which just makes me feel like crap.

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week?

I met with the genetic counselor on Monday. She does not think that I need to worry about getting an amnio. She told me that even with the loss of one of the twins, the Mat21 is still pretty accurate, plus, I had a normal NT scan. I have scheduled the amnio along with an early (18w3d) anatomy scan. If anything looks funky on the scan, then I will do the amnio. If everything looks fine, then I won't. I really don't know what to do.

Um. Yes to the fruits. WTF. Im sorry, but in my hood, a lemon is bigger than an avocado. Apparently my baby is shrinking according to the fruit measurement.

therealbug, - ditto on the movement. I have been feeling a little something something that is not gas. Its usually at night, when I am laying on my back, and I am pretty still. I have been feeling it for a week or so, but I am sure now that it is the actual baby moving.

muscari,- So scary about the fall. Take it easy. I have a really bad knee and fell several times when pregnant with DS. It really scares the crap out of you.....
