DD is sick again... She didn't get so much as sniffles for the longest time, now she's in a new school and in a little over a month has been sick twice. New school, new germs?

I hate daylight saving time with an intensity few can appreciate, but watching this video approx 1 million times this weekend has made me feel better. I think it gets funnier each time I see it.
On Friday I finally got the official job offer for the company with the long commute. DH and I spent the weekend talking through it and I declined it this morning. I would probably take the job if it were closer. I could make the commute work if it were my dream job, but it's not. The pay would be a nice bump (base 12% higher than what I had been at, plus an extra 10% annual bonus which I didn't get at my old job), but it's a lateral title move and I would be essentially rehashing things I've already done in my career. I know if I took it, I would only be counting down the days to find a new job in a couple years. And without a title bump, industry shirt, or new areas of responsibility, it doesn't really do much to advance my career. I feel guilty telling them no after spending so much time on this process, but I have to keep on reminding myself that it's business.
librarychica, so scary. Glad everyone seems to be okay. Keep an eye on your kiddos moods. My chiropractor said that was the best judge on if they have any trauma to their necks. It took a good 2 weeks before DD's moods went super crazy. oldbaylover1024, I said WTF out loud too at work! Is it the boss or your idiot co-workers?
I will say having a baby 3 days before DST has helped me not give a shit about DST. It also helped with DS's transition too since he was already out of routine and one day of a missed nap had him back on schedule.
I have no real vents other than your par for the course PP pains. I don't remember by lower back muscles spasming like this last time so that's been pretty annoying.

So far we're rolling ok with DST. Strep throat is what's taking us down. I'm home with DS1 today. He's on the comeback. But I feel flushed and my temp is rising. I have vendors flying in tonight for a 2-day meeting. I can't be sick. Hoping that I'm being a hypochondriac, but I'm prepping my slides to be presentable by anyone, just in case.

librarychica, I'm glad everyone is ok. I'm so sorry about your H's car.
Everyone in my house slept in late. Even though I was awake, I stupidly didn't notice. Then I got my kids to school just in the nick of time, but somehow didn't bring my purse to work. I mean...how? Also no makeup. All I have is my back up lipstick in my desk.

Put in an abstract to present at a professional conference. If I get accepted, I'll talk to my boss about going because otherwise my division only sends people to recruit.
H is going out of town tonight until Friday night. Preparing myself for that. DS and I will be eating repetitive meals this week as I have trouble cooking for less than 5 and I don't want to cook every night.
Made it to work with no laptop. Got a call from my FIL being a nincompoop. Someone stole my lunch from Specialtys. I just spilled 20 oz of water all over my desk and the paperwork I've been putting off filing. I've also learned my credit officer does not use indelible ink like he should.
Can it be Tuesday yet? I'm dreading what the rest of the day has in store for me..
My sitter for DD no school day Friday just cancelled on me. I'm working on plan B, C, & D right now. We are way too busy at work for me to WFH again or bring DD with me. Agh! She also cancelled on me for 2 days during spring break at the end of month.
librarychica, glad everyone is ok. Maybe insurance would pay for a new car?
I am sure it will eventually. The woman who hit us is underinsured, because of course, and our adjuster is now saying we don't have rental coverage. I am never letting H handle insurance again.
Also the hoa head who happens to live next door was on my porch ready to fight about the "abandoned vehicle" in front of our house. Ahole. Didn't even ask is we are all okay.
Plan B worked for DD on Friday. The lady who is a long time friend/client is super excited and is even picking DD up from my house so I don't have to take extra time in the morning to drive up to her place in the south hills. If DD has a good time I might even ask for one of the days I need to fill in during spring break.
librarychica, can't the HOA prez see that it was an auto accident and not abandon as it your normal car just mangled. If it is your H's car why would you need rental coverage on it unless the lady that hit you was in a rental? Insurance claims people, YUCK!
rach, I feel like there are 2 foods in this area: Pancakes and Flapjacks. Seriously. There is some sort of house 'o pancakes or casa de flapjacks on every corner.
