Hopefully all of you not feeling well get some relief soon. They were predicting 10-15 cm of snow for us but the storm mostly missed us and we only got a light dusting.
Rama and Rachel with the different tags - I've never, not once, had grapefruit. Not even the juice! Closest thing I've had is the LaCroix.
snip
Surprise, surprise - I've never had LaCroix, in any flavor. You must try grapefruit! I prefer pink or red, but I think Rama (or someone else) mentioned white.
mrstommyshelby Grapefruit is so good. You should try it sometime! I slice it in half and sprinkle salt on it and eat it with a grapefruit spoon.
thatgirlrachel White grapefruit is the beeeeeeest. I've had far less duds than with pink/red and I find the flavor more enticing. My absolute favorite ones are the grapefruit that MrRama's grandma sends up occasionally from her backyard. My mouth officially has too much saliva in it now, need grapefruit.
Does anyone else feel like their MS is basically a sacrifice to the stomach god?
Like, I get up in the morning. Stumble to the kitchen where I try to find something that will not upset the gods. I put it in my stomach and basically wait for it to gurgle around in there until I have been deemed worthy or face the wrath of the stomach god. This is my life.

That is truly the only way to eat grapefruit - exactly as you described! When the solid part is gone, I squeeze the remaining juice from both sides into the bowl and slurp it up. Best.
Should I send Grandma Rama my address in exchange for the aforementioned grapefruits?

Yesssss, mine goes in a cup. MrRama (and close friends) always know when I'm eating grapefruit because I have a setup. XD plate, knife, grapefruit spoon, salt, small cup. I will admit to having taken shots of the juice before. Real, fresh grapefruit juice has ruined me for bottled stuff. I can't.
She doesn't send them often to me, either. Sadface. But I think that's just because of the cost of shipping live, heavy fruit.

I announced to my teammates. We were going on and on about needing another QA resource. I posted a pic of DS in his big brother shirt and said, "um, we definitely need another QA resource".
I'm casually doing all the research on my leave now. Apparently my state has its own leave act that supercedes FMLA and starts my 12 weeks AFTER I've been cleared by my doctor to return to work. Which is usually 6-8 weeks.

mrstommyshelby, not working today, just enjoying the snow day. We've gotten about a foot so far and it's still coming down hard. My husband had to work this morning, so DS and I watched Finding Dory, played with play-doh, colored, did puzzles, watched snowblowers and snow plows, and played with the cat. My husband and DS just went outside to play for a bit and I showered. It's only 1pm and I have cabin fever.
I love grapefruit flavored things, but I've never actually enjoyed grapefruit. Love the grapefruit La Croix. I have a Fresca fetish.
I've eaten about 4 oranges today. And a box of Samoas.

I'm feeling like a normal person again, and I'm so happy about it! Actually got some things done today, including making this delicious oatmeal bread. Potato soup in the Crock-Pot for dinner, and an apple cake for dessert...I forgot it was pi day.
Rama , My tastebuds just curled at the idea of putting salt on grapefruit! I've had it with sugar, but even then it's not my favorite.
La Croix, on the other hand, is my lifeblood. But not the grapefruit flavor. I like controversial coconut the best.
On the La Croix topic, my favs are: Coconut (no else likes this, you are right), Nicola (I'm the only one I have ever seen buy this), Cherry Lime (total crowd pleaser).

So so tired today. Went to the gym this morning and now I'm finishing cookies for a bake sale Friday for DD's preschool class. Since she's not there on Fridays I have to bring them tomorrow.

I like your day!
Anyone else hate Play Dough? I get it all out and then everyone wants to just mix the colors to pooh green and play with it for 5 minutes and then everything needs to be packed up again so it doesn't dry out. Maybe it's just my kids but Play Dough is too much for work me!
You know what's annoying? I stopped temping after my BFP but now that I'm feeling under the weather I took my temp and it's 99.1. My typical body temp is like high 97s. So now I'm wondering if I have an elevated temp due to the illness and it could continue to rise or if it's just a pregnant body temp. OB said to take Tylenol if it hits 100. Google says scary things about first trimester fevers. Someone hold me.
This why I wanted to send my husband with the flu to a hotel. Let's hold each other!
It's high fevers that go untreated that are worrisome, like if you had a 101 for days but never did anything about it. You seem to be very on top of it.

DS and H just came in from playing in the snow. DS and I are watching cartoons and H just ran up the road to our small market to get some ice cream and something for dinner. I'm stuck on the couch today so at least H stayed home so he could do the shoveling, dishes, and laundry. I'm not sure what happened to my actual H....

And can I just complain about what shitty timing this snow had??? Like, I'm still spotting a little brown and I confirmed my OB is closed all day and every other OB in the county is closed too. It's just unfair and it makes me sad. I'm calling out of work tomorrow and taking DS to daycare so I can call as soon as they open to get in for an ultrasound.

I drink tons of La Croix while pregnant.
I can not get in to the La Croix drink. I have tried a few different ones and I am not just a fan

What flavor is Nicola? I've only ever had the berry one. It's OK but I didn't know there were so many others. I may have to try grapefruit. I'm in the squeeze the grapefruit juice to drink it boat too. Nomnomnomnom.

It's their version of cola. I can't get enough of it but have a hard time finding it. It's rarely stocked because I think I'm the lone buyer.
