H was active for like 11 years but switched to the Reserves a few years ago, now he's rocking it in the civilian world. The Army somehow still rules our life though! I swear you can't get away. He thought he had this whole year planned out but found out last night that he has another week long training that he has to fit in, and he'll miss DS's 2nd birthday this year too. I've given up complaining, or stressing about it since he has very little control over these things. How about you guys?

Liking in solidarity! Oh no about missing DS bday! DH has been in about 14yrs. Shooting for 20 but with the size of the Army currently being so small, he's been extra stressed and stretched thin at work! We're currently at Bliss in El Paso and originally from New England.

I try not to stress or complain bc as you said there's nothing we can do to change anything. I used to be a planner. The Army has definitely made me an adapter! Thank your husband for us! ❤

RRCS: I hate Oing "late" but when I need it to hang on just another day or so, it never happens. We've got a hectic week this week, but are going on a short vacation starting Thursday. Unfortunately I think I'll probably end up Oing Thurs so or timing will just be 0, +1 if that happens :/

GTKY: Do you make your bed every morning? Nope. Maybe, maybe if I didn't work and was home all day I would make the bed just to feel good about the room looking tidier, but by the time I get home, feed the kid, get her off to bed and shower, I haven't seen the bed since I got out of it earlier that day and I really don't care if it's made or not.
