ihatepizza there is a woman on the working parents board (Erinshelly something if you go over there) whose little girl was measuring pretty behind and then all was suddenly fine at like 35 weeks if I recall correctly. You could check out her post history. Her birth story is still on the main page I think.
I'm really sorry you're dealing with that - I'm sure it's scary.

Thanks sdlaura, I need positive stories right now, google is not the place to be and I didn't like how my concerned my (typically calm and cool) OB was
Me: 29 DH: 35 NTNP since May 2013 charting since June 2014 dx: Graves disease (radioactive iodine), Crohns disease (abdominal surgeries) MMC October 2015 (9 weeks) Severe MFI diagnosis July 2015
sabrinaml I only plan on getting one box of newborn size because that's all I used with DS. If I end up needing more this time I can always get more. With him I also found he was in each size longer than the one before. I never stocked up with him, but if I see a good sale/price I'm going to start buying size one and two now.
ihatepizza I have no experience to share but wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you and hope all goes well at your NST and that baby has a big growth spurt.
pinecone21marshian, thanks, I've been super upset about it all afternoon. My body is truly terrible at being pregnant, I feel like I'm letting the baby/DH down
You're not letting anyone down! You're doing a great job! These are factors outside your control. Keep your chin up!
I have a stupid name question. We weren't planning on telling anyone her name until she was born, but I need some perspective!
So far the only name we agree on is Anna (pronounced like you would the name Ann....not like the Disney Frozen princess).
Well my cousin has a 5 year old daughter named Giuliana. I just saw on fb that she she wrote her name Ana. She apparently goes by that now (pronounced like the Frozen princess).
Would that be weird to have an Anna and Ana in the same family? We aren't super close to her parents (see each other maybe 1-2 times a year a big family events). We have a big family, so I'm sure Ana doesn't even know my name. And the girls will be almost 6 years apart.
sabrinaml- I never really did a diaper stash. Before DD came, so many people had gifted us diapers so we had more than enough. I believe I actually had to give away a lot of Newborn size because she was in newborn diapers for maybe 2-3 weeks before moving to size 1s. With DS, I just bought a pack of newborn and a pack of size 1s. I wasn't sure if he would grow as fast as DD and I'm actually glad I did that because even though he was slightly bigger than DD at birth, he grew at a slower rate than her. With this babe I bought a pack of newborn and will buy a pack of size 1s and maybe size 2s. I figure that should work for a bit.
ihatepizza- Try not to beat yourself up! Pregnancy is hard work and you are doing an amazing job. Try to relax, even though I know it's hard.
Thinking of you ihatepizza. I don't have any experience with the growth portion of your question. I did have weekly nst with dd1 at the end of my pregnancy and they were no big deal. I was so nervous, but basically they strap some monitors around your belly and track baby's movement and patterns. DD never moved as much as they liked so I had to sit there forever. Now there is no stopping her!
bewise I love love love that name (it's actually our cat name so it can't be our baby name). I 100% don't think that should stop you at all, it's likely that your cousins daughter is going through her frozen phase and will grow out of it before your daughter even hits school. Secondly I don't think names from cousins are off limits (we had Theodore picked out for years and will still use it even though my cousin used that name- and we see them every holiday)

Those of you doing disposable diapers- how many of each size are you planning on getting before hand? With C I never built up a stash. I only had what was given to me at my baby shower (which really wasn't a whole lot). I figured since we will have 2 in diapers I should work on building up my stash. I currently have: (P-pampers, h-Huggies) Newborn P: 88 H: 32
Size 1's P: 100 H: 70
Size 2's P: H: 130
Size 3's P: H:
Size 4's P: 50ish H:
Size 5's P: 250ish
C is in 4s now. The 5a are for him. Off brands did not work well for C, so I'm avoiding them for this one as well. I'm also signed up for Amazon subscribe and save, I will get the case of size 1 pampers (216 count) on Monday. Trying to figure out when I should switch it over to size 2s. I can't really base off of C because he was in newborn longer than most since at 1 month he was almost a full pound under his birth weight. Once we figured out his eating (lack there of for nursing) he stared gaining like he should have been.
I think that I had 1 box of nb and 2 boxes of 1s when she came. It is no big deal to just order more on Amazon and have then come in 2 days or to make a quick target run - you will want out of the house. Stock up if they are on sale for sure, but no need to go crazy.
I think that DD was in nb for a few weeks, 1s for a couple of months.... I don't remember but she was a peanut.
bewise My cousin named her daughters the same names as my sister and me, with the spelling different by a letter. When we get together, we have to refer to Big -- or Little --, or use last names, but it's not weird. It just is what it is. I say go for it.

Our nearest target is 30 minutes away. I will be "out of the house" plenty as I will be bringing LO into "the office" with me shortly after she is born. Downfall to having your husband own his own business and having you do all the bookwork. We have an employee that has to get paid, and I'm the only one that can do that. (Along with any other bills and getting invoices sent out) However work is the opposite direction as target. And I'm dreading a target trip with a 2 y/o and newborn. I've been using manufacturers coupons paired up with targets deals for what I have now. But I would like to try and make it the first few months w/o having to make a diaper run. I'm signed up for subscribe and save for her diapers, but I feel like C's are cheaper at target or Sam's Club.
Thanks, ihatepizza and pinecone21. My aunt (Ana's grandma) is a little stuck up, so I'm sure she will comment on it to someone. Oh well, I think we will still go with it.
bewise - I say use the name. If it was my sibling's kid (my niece) I wouldn't, but for a cousin you see a couple times a year? No big deal.
Similar story to pinecone21: My aunt and my sister have the same name (and spelling). My mom married into the family when my sister was around 7. We saw that side of the family at least once a week and people started calling them "big [name]" and "little [name]". My aunt hated that, especially when she was pregnant! But no one ever cared they had the same name.
bewise, if it's a nickname your cousins daughter is going by vs her actual given name, I see no reason to use it. If it was a given name, I personally might reconsider.
ihatepizza hugs. thinking about you. that is NOT your fault, and you're not terrible at being pregnant. you're doing everything you can to give LO everything you can! you're making lots of sacrifices on top of what's generally expected in pregnancy - that makes you a really good mom, not a bad one. fingers crossed that growth picks up.
sabrinaml i think i had one big box of newborn swaddlers and a smaller box of size 1s. DD wore size 1s for sooo long, so i think that's mostly what i bought after. i've been stocking up this time, but i honestly have no idea what i have bc my house is a wreck right now. i've also been buying at target when they're on sale. while it's NBD to run out and grab some or order from amazon, i remember thinking how nice it was to have a stash when DD was tiny. i was so overwhelmed by everything, so one less thing that HAD to be done was good for me.
bewise, that's a beautiful, classic name that we considered too. I would definitely not let the other family name stop you. I wouldn't even let it stop you if it was exactly the same name, but it's just a very different name with a similar nickname. She may not even go by that as she grows up.

ihatepizza sorry for the added stress it is definitely not yours or your body's fault. I hope all goes well at the nst.
I had a binder after a vaginal delivery that I got from the hospital but it was to help hold my pelvis together so I wore it a bit lower down on my hips. I tried a Belly binder kind of thing, but it was too annoying. It got in the way of skin to skin time so I didn't wear it much
I also didn't use many newborn diapers. DD was 8lb2oz at birth. I don't think I finished a jumbo box before moving to size 1 to help prevent the blowouts. The hospital I gave birth at didn't even have newborn size. They just used size 1s.
Mini van or SUV? We need something with 3rd row. Just started my research but I'm interested in hearing from actual people who drive them. We will have 2 in car seats (1 in FF) 3rd row will mainly be used when we travel.

We have a Hyundai Santa Fe with a 3rd row that we absolutely love.
However, it is a total pain in the ass to use the 3rd row if you have 2 car seats. We recently took a day trip with another couple and their 2 year old. So we had 2 adults in the 3rd row. Toddlers in car seats in the middle row and 2 adults up front. The adults in the back row had to get in before we could install the friend's car seat. Then we had to take the car seat out any time we got out of the car so the adults could get out of the back. We were so annoyed with taking the seat out and putting the seat back in after multiple stops!
Just something to think about! Maybe if your kids are older, you could install one of the car seats in the 3rd row when you travel so you don't have to worry about the carseat shuffle?
bewise, C will be about 2 when we get the new car. I don't think we are planning any trips until Labor Day or Thanksgiving that we would have to worry about passenger in the back row. My thought for those trips was C would move to back row, my mom or whoever else was traveling with us would sit in the other captains chair next to baby.
sabrinaml , I just shopped for and bought a 3-row SUV last May. My 10-year-old Toyota 4Runner needed a $3,500 repair, and I was hoping we'd be able to have a third kid. I will say that if you're open to a minivan, they are so super functional and I think you should go that route. That said, I did not want a minivan. So I tried to get as close to minivan functionality without getting a minivan
I looked at pretty much all 3-row SUVs, and ended up buying a slightly used Buick Enclave. I haven't had an American car since I was a teenager and had a bad experience, but I love my Enclave so far.
A major reason I picked it was that it has captains chairs standard in the middle row. To bewise 's point, it is really tough to actually access a 3rd row in most 3-row SUVs with carseats installed in the middle row. I knew that if we had a 3rd kid and needed to transport three kids everyday, I would not be able to fold up a bench seat in the middle row with a carseat installed. It is easy to access the back row with the Enclave's captain's chairs. My sister has an Acura MDX and is about to have her third kid, and that is going to be a huge PITA to get to the back row because it has the middle bench seat. Another 3-row SUV that has the captain's chairs standard in the middle is the Nissan Pathfinder, but I didn't find great long-term reliability/repair ratings for that vehicle.
Another reason I loved the Enclave is because it actually has cargo space, even with the 3rd row up. Many of the 3-row SUVS have pretty much zero cargo space with the 3rd row in use. I can also put down one of the back row seats while there is a carseat in the back row if I want more space.
A drawback of the Enclave is gas mileage. It's not great. But it's still better than giant SUVs like the Yukon or Suburban or Sequoia, and most of my driving is relatively short distances. Plus DH drives an electric car so I figure it offsets
We also looked at the GMC Acadia because it's the same vehicle, just on a truck frame rather than a car frame. I was ready for a car frame after driving my 4Runner on a truck frame for awhile. The ride is really smooth in the Enclave.

Good luck!
The Enclave is on my list to check out. Our small town dealership has 3.

Oh! Self declared car nerd here. I was very happy in my Jeep GC until I knew we would be TFAS soon and I wanted a third row.
I bought a 2016 Ford Explorer last year. Love love love the captains chairs and the automatic third row. Also loved that it wasn't huge like a Yukon or Tahoe. It's been great and I'm really happy with it. One thing to note is some models come with inflatable seat belts, which limits your choice of car seats (post 40lbs).
That sounds like a good idea! I'm not sure I could stand not being able to see DDs reaction when she first sees baby though. So much so I'm planning on having our photog do a session at the hospital when they first meet. 😬 DD will be 5.5 though so I'm sure we'll get a much different reaction than a toddler.

Interesting idea, but it assumes the hospital has a nursery where you could send the baby. The hospitals around here have mostly done away with nurseries.
cheezee, I am also SO excited to see my older kids meet their new sibling - I get teary every time I think about it! The first question DD asked when she found out we were expecting a baby was 'can I come to the hospital and hold the baby?' She was only 17 months when DS was born so we didn't even have her come to the hospital because we thought it would be too confusing. I think DH might veto a photographer, but that's not a bad idea
I haven't decided yet if we'll tell the kids before they meet the baby whether it's a boy or a girl - I need to see what DH thinks. It might be fun to have them find out when they get to the hospital/see the baby for the first time.
sdlaura Our hospital doesn't have a nursery either. Babies room in with you the whole stay. We had one angel of a nurse take dd our second night in the hospital because she would not stop crying. We tried everything we knew and it wasn't working. The nurse took her for a few hours so we could sleep. I love that nurse to this day!
