I have had a sore throat along with all of these sleepless nights. It's no fun. I did get a few hours of sleep last night. I slept from about 12:30 to 5ish. This snow storm is turning into NBD hear. I had a feeling that would be the case. It snowed a few inches and now it's raining or sleeting. I hope all the babies and mommas are sleeping and feeling good this morning 😊
We got a few inches of snow and now it's freezing rain on top so everything here is closed today. No library story time. Sadz. Originally I was going to take M out this morning but I think I will wait until this afternoon when it's supposed to stop.

G found her tablet. MH charged it just in case our power went out and she was melting down. G saw it and is taller than he thought. She pulled it right off the counter. She is now watching Daniel Tiger on it while I watch the news on the tv. We are in for the day and I am ok with that.

I guess the snow came our way! No idea how much. I yelled up to DH that he might want to leave early because it snowed big time (not necessarily for Chicago, but def for the weird winter we've had). "How big is big time?" "Um...the antenna on your car is almost buried?" "UGH"
Just another day here. My oldest is back to not wanting to go to bed without one of us sleeping with her. We are trying to catch up up TIU so its been a one episode night the last few nights.

Hooo boy. DH texted at 9 that he wasn't even at the dog daycare yet. It was his idea to bring her there today because it's OTW to court, but now I'm worried for how late (and cranky) he's going to be.
Not my problem, right? It's not like he didn't know snow was in the forecast, he could have hauled his ass out of bed earlier.

So glad I decided to go to Chicago this upcoming weekend, not this past one! Also, I'm going to be in town...
Alright, I brought some snow inside in plastic containers and gave M a bunch of kitchen tools on a blanket. She is entranced. Done.
Stealing this idea. Thank you! And I'd love to meet up while you're here, hopefully we can work something out (unless you were just staring that you'd be in town as a matter of fact, in which case I will just slink into the corner...)
Another Chicagoan here, my school was called off so I'm home with dd for the day. Random thought inspired by the red line train last night. Did we ever hear about the period underwear from whoever it was that was trying them. elephantastic maybe?

Oh man...I don't use transit much (probably more while we were dating than since I've actually lived here), but based on things I've heard from people who commute via the red line I'm filling in my own blanks about this story. Ew.

Oh no sorry for that mental picture! The train was full of ads for those period underwear. But it also smelled like a hamster cage Not the worst smell I've smelled on that train tho

Jealous of the snow! Not the annoyances that come with it, but would love to have a snow storm. We had some flurries on Sunday, and that was a huge deal here in the south.

Debating with my mother on whether carbs make you fat or not is a lost cause. Trying to explain that calories in , calories out make you gain/lose and her saying eating bread even within her calories makes her fat? Nah. Gonna walk away from this pointless texting convo. 😂
so random....anyone watch/listen to Walk Off The Earth!? Crazy amazing artists. They use odd products to make music and they are so so amazing.
They're pretty popular around here but I think that has more to do with the fact that they are from Burlington, ON, so they tend to get air time on TV and radio. They definitely have real talent though! Some of my Hs relatives are really into them and have said their live show is one of the best they've been to.
