Amount wise I think it's going to be a bust here. We only have 4 inches of really wet and compact snow. It switched over to freezing rain pretty early, around 5 am. The windows on one side of the house are completely iced over.
I'm disappointed. I kind of wanted a bunch of snow but ice is no good. Bah.
They're still saying around 11-17" for us here. Daycare was cancelled preemptively. We're waiting to see if DHs college cancels his afternoon class. Either way I'm solo as DH spends the day shoveling out our properties.

Snow was a bust here. But, I live on the coast and the wind and rain is intense. My dog went outside and I swear he was blown a little across the deck, ha! He then turned and gave me a look of "save me!" Poor little guy.
I'm bummed they cancelled everything in advance...so no school or speech therapy for my son. DH office was closed so he's WFH, but that will just annoy me that he gets to hide upstairs all day.
I'm struggling a lot with DS. I don't know if it's the age (2.5), but he's getting really creative with ways to be annoying/naughty and he's playing so rough all the time. I really wish he had nursery school today. They tell me he's an angel there 🙄.
So my weightloss has slowed a bit. I lost 5lbs in the first 10 days and now it's tapering to about 0.5 lb a week. But, I've been lazy about points after 4pm or so. It's not that I'm actually cheating...it's just I'm exhausted and think I don't feel like getting out a scale and weighing this chicken, so I eyeball it. Or, I grab a handful of cereal or something and don't measure or count. So, starting today, I'm trying to go back full force!

Bust over here as well lakegirl. We have maybe an inch? Probably less but it's icy as hell.Freezing rain has started. Both B and DS1 had rough nights. DS1 had the worst night and I probably got four hours of sleep total, off and on. Dh's work is closed and he handled B, who was up every two hours and up for the day earlier than usual. I am up with both because I am a champion and Dh is in bed. I will definitely be getting a mega nap later.
Ahhhhhhhh!! Our friends who live down the street are driving to the hospital in this awful weather because she's in labor! I'm so stressed out for them. It's so icy.
I thought I posted yesterday but I guess it didn't post. I don't remember what I said lol.
Yesterday was my first full week of weight watchers. I have a scale on order so I have no idea how much I've lost, but I notice a difference in my ab region.
carrots I briefly skimmed the thread yesterday, I have no problem eating my points but I feel I haven't adjusted my diet too much besides forgoing extra snacks and resisting treats (like when MH suggested buying ice cream). As long as you're getting enough protein, good carbs, and veggies I would think you are ok.

I'm considering weight watchers. You all are inspiring me. I was planning on cutting processed shit and carbs for two weeks and then slowly introducing whole grain stuff. That's how I lost almost all of my post-DS1 weight but I keep making excuses. I read a book that really inspired me and provided great recipes and snack ideas. Maybe if I skim through it I'll find the motivation I need to start.
heybulldog56 it keeps me accountable for my own decisions. I need something like that for me to truly stick with it. I also highly recommend whole life challenge, there's a new one starting in may. I lost 5lb doing it in a very healthy way last spring over 2 months.

We were home all day yesterday. Now, today, DS activities are cancelled and we're home again. I'm so bored and it's only 10:45am. I could go to my parent's house, but when I got us all dressed for the day I just put myself and kids in PJs thinking it would be a nice cozy day. I mean, I guess we could just go to my parent's house in PJs, but at the very least, I should probably put a bra on!
lakegirl, fx your neighbors get there safe. Barometric pressure makes L&D wards nuts!
weeklyplanner, down is down! Just remember 5 lbs or half a lb, it all adds up!
The snow is most definitely NOT a bust here. We thought it was because we were looking at our deck with 4-5" on it. Then H took the dogs out the front door, that side of the house has over a foot on it. He just got done blowing our driveway and has to do our neighbors because they're away in sunny Florida 🙄
I had to cancel my 6 wk appt today so poor H can't even get any blizzard sex. Darn.
For weight loss I plan to just cut out processed foods and eat a mostly clean diet modeled after paleo without being completely restrictive. I've lost weight doing nutrisystem in the past, but it's hard when we eat out etc. Sticking to mostly meats & veggies without a whole lot of counting is much easier for my sanity

I woke up this morning, well actually in the motn wake up, thinking it was Friday. It's going to be a long week. R has a cold, 2nd one of his 11 week life, darn germy toddler "helping" hands. Dd didn't get her first cold, or any sickness, until almost 7 months. This is so different. My nephew was in town for a couple days so he stopped by to hang out and see R and dd this morning. He just turned 18 and is such an adult now, it makes me feel so old. He is moving here this summer for college and I'm looking forward to spending more time with him. I've already told him I'm hiring him to mow our lawn and possibly babysit, at least dd. Today is chilly and cloudy, the perfect day to run errands but I don't really want to take R out with his cold.
Clearing the snow was a nice work out! It's nice and heavy. I did the deck and three sets of stairs plus cleaned off the cars while Mh did the sidewalk with the snow blower. Mh and ds are off to the inlaws to do their driveway (they have a big one) because fil is still in the hospital. Dd and I are just chilling and getting some chores done inbetween nursing sessions. I'm giddy with excitement about how much I'm getting done with just one kid. Well, specifically the kid who isn't the toddler tornado!

carrots I've got 18 points left for today, yet I'm hungry. I'm trying to save my 18 points for dinner and an after dinner snack. You'd think I would have been more hungry the first week on WW, but apparently the 3rd week is where I get hangry.
weeklyplanner, fill in with veggies (are they free? I don't know WW.) I always found if I thought I was hungry but didn't want veggies I was bored not hungry.
The nj news channel kept saying our town had 10" of snow and I was wondering where that was bc we were well over that a while ago. They just updated with 18". Decidedly not a bust here

Dh just left for work. Both boys are napping. A neighbor friend with a son DS1's age is coming over for a playdate (and wine) this afternoon. Pretty excited to bond with her some more since her son and DS get along so well We also have a lot in common and, as we've discussed, I need mom friends!
I gave B a bottle for the first time in over a week. He took 4.5oz and I think could have kept going. I've been freezing in 4oz bottles, so that's sorta annoying.
DH hasn't gone out to shovel yet. We've actually gotten a lot so far and it's the nasty heavy stuff so I feel bad that I can't help out more.
We have a wedding on Friday night that I'm dreading. It's at 6 and we're going to have to have my MIL do bedtime for both kids. 😳I'm debating whether is easier to bring the kids to her or have her come to our house...decisions decisions.

I've been a terrible J17'er, mostly lurking. W has been a fuss butt that last few days about not wanting to be put down and it's been a struggle. He's also been screaming every time he goes in the car seat unless you're carrying said car seat. We're currently at Chick-fil-a staying way longer than necessary just because he finally fell asleep and I know he'll start crying if I put him back in his seat.

thelittleredm, B is the same about the car seat! You have to be holding it up and walking or gently swinging it. It makes daycare drop offs interesting (he screams the whole time while I get DS1 settled).

Yep, it's a pain. My mom kept asking if we needed to pull over the other day. Nope, won't help. Just need to finish errands and get home.
lakegirl I missed why your FIL is in the hospital. I'm sorry, I hope it is nothing serious. I know you are close to him.
Thanks, I miss having the inlaws come around to help out. He had the cyst on his pancreas that they found during his prostate cancer stuff biopsied. Good news: it's benign! Bad news: the irritation gave him pancreatitis and some unknown infection on the cyst site. It's been a week and he's getting better so he should be released soon!
thelittleredm oh no! The car is suppose to be a safe and magical place of baby naps! I hope he settles down soon. Dd has also be unusually grumpy the last two days so commiseration love tits.

I'm back from our weekend away. It was kind of a working vacation because we had to do some stiff at a rental property. But it's near a ski hill so we were able to take DS1 skiing for the first time.
PDQ
Being a mom I basically toddler wrangled most of the time, sat around in a lodge for a day with a baby and a toddler who wanted to be back out skiing. Or cleaned the rental with was FILTHY. Like I'm fairly sure they didn't clean the bathrooms the entire year they lived there
