Good morning!
Yesterday I was trying to figure out why G slept so well on us. It finally clicked that he was basically on his belly. Last night we decided to try laying him in on his belly after he ate. Guys, he didn't wake up or cry! He can roll belly to back but not consistently. I was nervous about him sleeping all night on his stomach, so MH rolled him back. G woke up and fussed almost immediately. MH got up with him and sat in the recliner until around 1. G did not wake up until after 8! If that is what we need to do to get sleep, that's what we're going to do.
Work is closed and MH is off. There's a statewide travel ban so we're not going anywhere. N is definitely feeling better; he's been asking for pancakes since he got up at 7. I think we're going to order Moana from On Demand later, and I'll put a pot roast in the crock pot later this morning.
I am not snowed in. At my job that means we get our work here and the work of the region that's closed due to snow. Yay. I'm so tired from DST and travel and I stayed up anyway to watch the stupid bachelor. Why.
Snowing here. The big is at daycare and the little is still asleep. Its 915, she's not feeling well. She ate about 6 oz less yesterday and went to bed around 9. I thought she was getting up for the day around 7, but her eyes were closed and she was looking for her soother.
I may or may not have company later, depending on the weather. I just want to go back to bed.
Snow and blizzard winds. Preschool cancelled. DH still had to go in. And DD2 now has DD1s fever. Atleast I don't have to worry about keeping them separated anymore??

No snow in southern Tx it is 45 degrees outside which for us is freezing. Lol. DST is KILLING me. Waking up is so awful. I even had to wake up both girls this am. That never happens. Nothing exciting for me. Work and then I really really want to go to bed early tonight.

becole, ugh that you have to go in. htle07, he is so stinking cute. sanibel21, sorry you have another sickie on your hands.
We're hiding out in the basement as DS is napping again in his nursery. Flooring guy doesn't seem to be bothering him, so win for us. The only issue is getting ourselves fed with the kitchen covered in plastic. I made us a cheese plate and have a mug of tea. So far a better day than expected.
htle07 I'm on the hunt for a used exersaucer, O loved our friend's.
I definitely don't have to worry about a let down when I pump. My body is so used to the schedule my milk always let's down while I'm setting up my pump now.
O has a cold but no fever, I hope she's not too miserable at daycare all day.
Snow day here! I am shocked because normally we have work when it snows. It's supposed to get pretty bad though. I got my car yesterday!! It is so pretty and handles great in the snow (obv needed to test it out to grab coffee this morning)!
MH has a day off today, so just a low key family day at our house. Probably going to try and get some laundry done. @kitchen DD can't sit yet, but we have been using the jumpers and exersaucer for about a month now (she is 5.5 months). She loves it!
@@kitchen DD2 cannot really sit up yet and we have her in the exersaucer for quick stints every now and then too. She loves it for a little bit at a time. I love having more options for putting her down too. We tried the jumperoo and she wasn't a fan of the floaty movement I think. I stayed up for THE Bachelor too. I had read a spoiler by accident so was pretty sure how it ended anyways. But I love the show. Luckily DD2 slept through so I wasn't too screwed by it.
Yeah we have blizzard conditions here with high winds. It just changed over from icy rain all morning to snow again. Both DH and I are WFH today, and B is home as Daycare is closed. DH is trying to first pass clear the driveway and I am working while B is napping.
htle07, such cute pics!! I also havent been to the private board as I dont know the PW. B has been using his exersaucer for about 3 weeks now and likes it more and more each time. He's not really pressing any buttons and his feet barely touch the ground. He is also only sitting up with assistance, but his neck and head control is good so we sit him in it every now and again. But as with all his toys and activities at home, he gets pretty bored after 15 mins or so.
adouces06, congrats on the new car! Looks like it would be great in snow. DH and I have talked about our next vehicle. Right now he has an Infinity FX35 and I have a Hyundai sonata. his trunk is crap but it does great in snow. My trunk is greatbut my car isnt the best in snow. So we have talked about replacing my car with another larger SUV when his car payments are done in 2 years (my car is paid off). Since we would like to add to the family soon we would need a car that can handle 2 carseats and extra seating. So we will likely look into SUVs with 3rd row seating. Neither of us have ever had a vehicle that big!
macaronmama, I'm surprised they came to do your kitchen with the snow. Is it not so bad in your area?
iwantbacon, Congrats on DS2 STTN!! I would about die if B chose to bless me in this way!! Now he still gets up at least 3 times a night, but we made it more bearable by moving his bedtime to 7-7:30pm. That way when he wakes at 10 pm we are still awake and can feed him right before going to sleep.
hikingmama222, great that you guys get to enjoy a nice day! As spring is next Monday, I really hope that the worst of the snow will be behind us after today.
smallpotato, glad N is feeling better and that you may have found the key to good sleep for G!!
becole, sorry you are getting stuck with extra work because of the snow.

I'm finally back from my trip to Florida this weekend - what a bummer to leave the beach to come back home to freezing cold and rain. We aren't getting snow though at least I guess.
We had a really good trip. It was beautiful Saturday and Sunday, we got some good beach time in, and the wedding was really fun. Mostly I was just happy to get some quality time with my parents, brother and sister b/c we don't get that as much anymore. DS1 did absolutely awesome traveling and he enjoyed the trip so much too. I'll share some pics of our weekend on the private board later. It was hard to get up and go to work today....DST and the dreary weather are not helping.
My DS2 is almost 5 months and can't sit up but I use the exersaucer for like 10 min while eating dinner. I put a rolled up blanket in there for extra support but his feet fully touch and he can move around with his feet.

DS1 has a dinosaur craft project due tomorrow for school. We haven't even started on it. I looked on Pinterest and just googled ideas and I'm struggling - we were told to use "household items" to make them. All I can really find are paper plate dinosaurs but I have zero idea what to use for like legs....teeth....spikes/plates, that type of thing. I'm at a loss.

Salt dough? Laundry detergent bottle? Popsicle sticks? Paper clips. Straws. I dunno I'm just typing stuff lol
Powers back. DD2 only napped 30 minutes, brought her down and she fell asleep in my lap which she hasn't done since early days. She doesn't feel good. DD1 is awake and sitting up in her crib, but I feel bad moving DD2 to get her.
We got a few inches of lake effect snow here, so H is working from home and we are all staying in our pajamas all day. We made chocolate chip cookies this morning and will watch Moana later this afternoon.
I'm still sad my daughter was scare by Moana, I really liked it and wouldn't mind watching it again!

Glad the power's back, that's scary with little ones.
Hey ladies. I am just catching up now. Hooray for good sleep and new cars!
DS still isn't feeling completely awesome and is currently just chilling on my lap... with a binky in his mouth. He's actually been using it quite a bit lately, which is kind of nice.
I jailbroke my Amazon Fire Stick today and I'm so psyched. We are currently watching Sing and DH and I are trying to decide on a movie to watch later. Maybe Hidden Figures. I don't know... So many to choose from! Not sure how the quality will be on them all, though. Sing is perfect HD quality. Is it wrong? Yep. But I'm still loving it.
Hey y'all, just catching up. This will be a post and run...to bed. Hope everyone is staying warm and safe in the snow! sanibel21 glad the power came back on. We lost power last Wednesday during a wind storm. MH got home from work at 2 and it was out, didn't come back on until almost midnight. 😐 Could have been worse I suppose. adouces06 your new wheels are so pretty!
Work was hectic this morning, but the afternoon was better. I'm still trying to find my legs-it's so different from bedside nursing. I work again tomorrow, through Friday. H is on night call, so I'm looking forward to star fishing out in the bed.
DS2 is 5 months today!! (So happy 5 months to G, smallpotato!) I can't believe how fast it's going this time.
Whole family was home yesterday. This "epic" snow storm brought us an inch of snow, an inch of ice and the roads were dry by noon. But 15 miles away at my office they got slammed and I have a few co workers that still don't have power. I did get all DD's clothes switched out and the 4 bags of clothes from SIL reorganized, boxed up and back into the basement.
DD is stuffy and congested again, with a nasty mucus cough so the nebulizer got pulled out at midnight last night. Then she was up again at 5, DH gave her a bottle, but she just couldn't get back to sleep because she couldn't breathe. Got to work 30 minutes late because she just would not let DH give her the nebulizer.
Daycare provider called at 7 this morning. She fell down the entire flight of steps into the basement (where daycare area is) so her husband took her to the ER first thing. my mom took the day off to stay with DD and my niece that also goes to the same daycare. I'm kind of glad so at least my mom can give her the nebulizer more consistently today.
What a freaking shit show today is. DH is going to a hockey game tonight, so its cereal and ramen noodle for dinner!
