I'm jumping on cagoldi's train after checking out Liz's house. It looks amazing, by the way. But we moved 30 miles away from the coast and train line, and still paid a lot more for our house. And it's pretty basic. And don't even get me started on our property taxes. Boo to CT.
I thought the same thing! You can't by a teeny tiny house for that price in my neck of the woods!
Pete just reminded me my boss said I could continue working from home no matter where I move. If I mover to a lower COLA, the company reduces my pay by 10%. Pfft.
Like I would care. We pay 10% in state income tax, so that's a wash.
Don't think FL is for me but I'm going to show Pete LizInFL's house to see if he gets an itch to leave this rat race.
I doubt you have anything to worry about, chrisy01.
The only place I've ever traveled to (outside of CA) and thought I could live there was CO. I love the WY and MT area around Yellowstone, but that's way too much of a red state huntin' and fishin' type of culture for me to tolerate long term, I think.
Pete just put a show on Netflix called "Pete and the farm." Immediately, I see sheep so I'm thinking this can't be good. I asked him to change it and before he could grab the remote, the guy used a captive bolt gun to shoot one in the head. She didn't die, so he got out a rifle to shoot her again. That's when he changed it. I don't know if she died after the second shot.
