akraus2015 I'm glad you checked out okay. Can you call your regular midwife now? I hope she'll be able to reassure you further.
Im still waiting for discharge paperwork, but I'll probably follow up with her tomorrow. This soft cervix talk has me worried. I'm hoping she can shed some more light on the situation when I talk to her.
akraus2015 does your midwife have a number you can reach them at or do you need to wait until tomorrow?
I would try to focus on the fact that it clearly wasn't enough to keep you so things can't be that bad. I would also try to stay away from google even though that might be easier said than done.

Oof, I just spent $600 on the roof rack and cargo carrier for our car. We knew we'd need/want one when we bought the car and especially with the baby we won't have enough room for some of our bigger trips. At least I had a coupon... and good thing we are eating in tonight!

Too late. 😕
Steer clear of google. I repeat, stay off google.
Call your MW first thing in the morning, see what she advises

Okay it wasn't all H's fault. He said I also have a bacterial infection that they'll treat with antibiotics, which could have been causing some of the cramping. So I'm glad I trusted my instincts and came in.
I feel so silly guys. The nurse said it's likely all just from intercourse this morning. She still wants the doctor to check me out to make sure, but I seriously feel like an idiot. F'ing PGAL brain...

Rant ahead.
Oh my fucking god I just can't even with this contracting company. The fucking idiots put the sink plumbing exactly where the fucking metal cross bar is on the vanity so they can't fucking install it. They have to open the wall back up and move the pipes.
Also, I didn't have time to take a picture but they took my fucking custom shelving unit and installed it like a piece of shit.
The screws are showing and they even cracked it where it's screwed. I can't even fucking deal with it.
And to top it off they didn't even show up until 3:15 today to start working.
ourcrazynavylife - Wtf. I would have a fit and fall in it with the manager/lead contractor. Hell no. They need to make all of that right. If your custom shelf isn't completely ruined or unsightly, the owe you a new one. If you can live with it, they owe you compensation for the damage.

akraus2015, I'm glad you went in and got it checked out and got some answers, hopefully the MW will help explain the other pieces, too. Take it easy tonight!
ourcrazynavylife, omg those people are horrible! wtf?! I swear every single time we have had any work done on the house, something crazy has happened (uh, like one guy painted our entire house and a piece of a door frame was broken so they switched it the door to open to the other side, fine...but he didn't paint the piece of wood where the door had been. He painted an entire house and then was too lazy to literally do five swipes on a piece of wood and left it bare wood!!) For how much they charge and how much they rely on references you would think they would be just a bit more careful.

Anyone know why my midwife mentioned to call her if I was feeling pain/pressure in my sternum? I can't figure it out? Out of the blue - never happened before I got some pain there. Idk if it's because I'm on my back on a heating pad or what.

It can be a sign of pre-e. My guess is she's watching you closely because of your BP and having you watch for other signs of it

So if it went away after I moved off of my back should I still call tonight?
Jimmy Buffett finally released a STL tour date for this year. July 6th. I'll be 38 weeks and some change.
Curious WWPD??
I think I already have my mind made up, but humor me. Would you go see (insert favorite band/artist here) at 38 weeks pregnant? Lawn seats. In St. Louis. In July.
Go! I just bought tickets for a concert in August in Philadelphia. I'll be 30 weeks. It's not...super local...but I'm not particularly concerned. It's outdoor and open seating so I'm hoping I can stay cool and not have to wait too long for the bathrooms 🙄

I would unless you are 100% certain it is related to being on your back. Even then, id probably still call and tell her you were on your back, see what she says.
The problem is pre-e and eclampsia can develop or escalate pretty rapidly at this point so..

if it gives you any hope, I can still go 2-3 hours between pee breaks as long as I haven't recently had coffee or caffeinated tea.

Because it went away as soon as I moved, I think I'll just wait and call in the morning. My cousin (who had pre e) said it wouldn't have gone away if it was my liver.

I agree! Best to just get her opinion.
I will call and explain in the AM because the on call line is not friendly.

Like I literally might kill someone.
Oh no! I'm sorry you're dealing with such nonsense!

Don't feel bad calling if you feel like you need to. I hate when then on call people aren't friendly. That's literally what they're there for. For you to call them!!

I haven't felt the pain again since I moved off my back so I think I should be good. I absolutely will call if it happens again. Friendly or not.
