guster do you have a WF nearby? You should be able to find the Heidi Ho creamy cheese. Add some nutritional yeast to that after you microwave and it's great as a nacho cheese.
All 3 kids feel asleep in the hotel in under 5 minutes. A good majority of the team is still running the halls. Thank god my kids are deep sleepers. It will be interesting at the rink tomorrow.
Also, I need to travel more. I drank all the bottled water in the room and sat here for way to long wondering if the tap water is safe to drink. I'm only 2 hours from home.
I'm so pissed. I emailed the photographer back in January to schedule S's 1 year pics. We settled on last Saturday. Because of the weather we ended up moving it to tomorrow. I told her, from the beginning, that I wanted to do indoor pictures. I told her S would not have weather appropriate outfits for outside pics. She emailed me yesterday to confirm the details. I told her again that I wanted to do indoor and she acted like it was the first she ever heard of it. So then she said she had to check with the place she rents to do indoor shoots. She finally emailed me at 8:30 tonight that the place is Booked and asked if there was another time that would work. No. I want to do picture tomorrow. So now she's asking her friends if she can use their studio or trying to think of another indoor option. Seriously, get your shit together.
Thanks girls for your T&ps. Another update from my sister: "Owen went to the OR around 1:30pm and got back to his room around 6:35. He came back off of ECMO and without the pedi-cath. About 6:55/7:00pm his blood pressure started to drop and continued to even with all of the meds and fluid they pushed. Then his heart rate dropped pretty fast and he needed more meds but it came back up quickly.
The heart surgeon came back and they decided he needed to go back on ECMO, so they turned his room into a "surgical suite" to put his cannulas back in."
The plus side is that his chest is still open and the hardest part is already done. It will still be strenuous and long, but definitely easier.
trtlcrzy I hope the pictures turn out great. S is pretty photogenic so they can't turn out that bad. Many thoughts to your sister and baby O. How are the other kids doing with all of this?
The kids don't really know how serious this all is. I think they are really missing their mom though. Baby O is 5 1/2 months old and she hasn't lived with either of them really since then. I think the longest she was away from either of them before this was like a week max. I feel bad for them.
lfigge unfortunately my sister doesn't make an effort to talk to the kids. My older sister, who is watching my niece(R) who is 8, said she never calls her. And when my sister told her she needed to call her more, she said that R could call her. All of us have iPhones so she could FaceTime with them every day if she wanted to, she just chooses not to.

Oh, that's so sad for the kids. I'm sure she is focusing so much on helping O and managing his care that she doesn't even realize how it's affecting everyone else.
I think that's exactly it. She's so focused on one child and has left the other 2 in the dust.
