This particular time she did use a fat barrel curling iron but sometimes she uses a flat iron and rolls my hair around that. I have really limp, flat, straight hair so when I do it, it never looks quite as good but here's what she does:
- wash and blow dry out with round brush - spray with shaping spray that has hold - use the wand (or flat iron) but only at the root and mid way. She leaves the ends sticking out (does not curl them)
ETA it helps that she "razor" cuts my hair so it's not like blunt ends, it's really piece-y. Also the wand or iron needs to be super freaking hotter than hell.

Before we moved I had the most amazing stylist. Now, I go to a girl who has the most amazing personality and just lifts me up, but TBH she sucks at doing hair. Those pictures kleigh have inspired me to maybe go and find someone to fix me up. That hair!!
