Yesterday we had the first day of an honor band clinic. Then it was Homecoming. After screaming my head off in the last few minutes of the game (we won 81-80 against a rival and closely-ranked team), I sound like a frog. Today is day two of the honor band clinic.
Thank goodness for MLK on Monday. I'm beat.
My company doesn't give us off on MLK. Yay for non-profits.

I have another wedding today where H is one of the groomsman. Hopefully it's the last one, haha. I like this couple a lot, but weddings that he stands up in are usually for people I don't know that well, and I end up chillin' by myself a big chunk of the time. And no alcohol
My basal body thermometer died somehwere between here and Florida. In lucky happenstance, my first RE appointment was on Monday and he did an ultrasound. He told me I had already ovulated. "What day, sir?" He couldn't say.
Not knowing my ovulation day for certain is driving me bonkers. I have no normal luteal phase symptoms right now so I can't orient myself. Grrr.
juliayadda I will be drinking margaritas! I plan on having one before ice skating at the restaurant. After ice skating a couple more. I have not been skating on forever so I feel I should be sober so I don't break something!

You should have a hot toddy while ice skating...got to keep warm

I'm at work this morning. The three of us were supposed to meet here at 8am. I got here right around then, but no one else was here. At 8:30 I texted one of the other residents. She apparently overslept this morning and the other resident is dealing with a sick kid. I've done as much as I know how to do, but unfortunately I'm a first year and am limited in what I can do without supervision. So now I'm sitting here, waiting for one of the other residents to show up.

At my wedding the bridal party sat with their SOs and families. I didn't want anyone to be bored.

My Knot-trained self is bristling at this. Guests should feel welcome and not uncomfortable. You shouldn't be off by yourself so much even if your husband is in the wedding. Pictures should be short and then you two should get to sit together at the reception. Some people even invite SOs on the picture shoot.
No alcohol, while totally within etiquette, can be a bummer. Go get a drink afterwards!
Today DH is off to a brewery with some of his friends today, so I have the house to myself! I have big plans to do laundry, dye my hair, and read. We'll see if I make it away from PB though... I also hate my n00b status.

New thermometer today for next cycle.
This all makes me smile. I always picture you very Type A, with things FUCKING ORGANIZED!
Side note I almost slapped a coworker for moving something on my desk last week. Who DOES THAT???

Probably Disney did something to it. You know how they feel about FF.

::sheepish::
I have a spreadsheet with each cycle's start day, ovulation day, luteal phase, spotting information and other various notes. At the end, I calculate my overall average ovulation and luteal phase. I also graph my cover line vs cycle number (I did that for hypothyroid stuff - I can see it steadily decrease until I start synthroid).

Solid plan. The tequila should help with the cold too. Unless you are going to a rink. We skate outside here:

I'm going shopping for the last of my wedding stuff today! I can't believe we're 20 days away. Also, I'm not terribly bummed about AF this month, because the timing means that I won't have it on the honeymoon (unless my body decides to be a dick, which I am ignoring as a possibility for now).

You can take the girl out of the Knot but you can't take the Knot out of the girl.

We used some of the money we got from our wedding to put a really nice wood stove in our basement that keeps the whole first floor warm. I love it! We bought our wood from the forestry and conservation students at the local tech school. DH decided it was easier than chopping up his own. We also use a pellet stove and I will never live at a place with out one now.
3houlagirl did you mention you had chickens yesterday?
Yes indeed! Speckled Sussex, Easter Eggers, and Wyandottes. My kitchen table is covered in eggs... A friend of mine is kidding some goats next month; I'm trying to convince DH that we need to get some NOW instead of next year.
We have 3 Rhode Island Reds and a white leghorn. I love those mothercluckers like no ones business.
This picture was titled "My pretzels bring all the chicks to the yard".
DH took the plunge and ordered our first bee hive for this spring. I'm crossing my fingers for some mini goats too!!!

That looks amazing! We moved to a new town in July and we found out they have an indoor skating rink! I have been waiting for a time DH and I can get out on a date.

hobbesgal I think our Chihuahuas feel that we installed the pellet stove solely for them since they like to plant there asses in front of it all night.
joy, I work in diabetes research lab. Lots of DNA and protein stuff. You?
My technician position (many moons ago now) was in a diabetes lab!
I now do drug discovery, x-ray crystallography and other biophysical techniques. I'll do whatever's needed. I did cell work for awhile, but I prefer protein level and mechanisms.
I wrote an NiH grant to start my own lab back in October. Eeeeek. I won't get it, but maybe this will help me solidify a plan forward with my career.

My chorgi does too. She only sits with whoever is sitting next to it, and groans like it's the end of the world if we dare disturb her with something like having to get up to use the bathroom.

I loved shopping for my wedding. Have fun.
Today is my youngest sons birthday party we have about 26 kids coming to his commando party. Thank goodness it will be at a place that has all the staff and I hired someone to to the cake and they decorate too. All I have to do is sit back and have fun.

I would too of I was them. We have a fireplace and when we use it I plant my ass in front of that.

My cat is halfway under the coffee table with her butt hanging out and my dog is parked behind her licking her you know what. I'm not sure who is enjoying what more.
