I did the ice pack trick- put an ice pack on top of your belly, near baby's head. If baby moves, take a second ice pack and keep it on the head until baby keeps wiggling south. Keep the first ice pack on the top of your belly to discourage baby from going back to upright. It took a good 30 minutes to get this stubborn child to flip but he did NOT like having a cold head and eventually gave a giant flip to escape
jmcbick He is so cute!! I hope baby flips soon for you!
I'm second guessing my name choice for DS2 again. DS1 was named before he was even conceived so it's weird to me to not have a name ready to go. MH is cool with whatever as long as it's a legitimate name so he's no help, although I like the freedom of picking what I want.
Corned beef for dinner at my mom's and I'm so excited!!
Also, jmcbick, I was told to do 20-30 minute, twice daily brisk (well, as briskly as we can at this stage) walks to help with the muscles that hold the uterus in place as they may be too tense for baby to flip
I will say this stubborn one didn't flip and stay flipped until this week (33w5d today). He was doing somersaults a couple of days ago and flipped head down for the first time a week ago. I'm hoping he's finally "stuck" in this position
We slept in til 8:30 this morning so I missed yoga which I'm kind of sad about. I'm at the gym though and just doing cardio today since my body is sore and I have a race on Sunday. Not much planned today. The weather is so warm here so I may take DS to the park this afternoon.
At 28 weeks, mine appeared to be head down. 30 and 32 week appointments also showed head down. Hoping he stays that way. Learned that babies go head down because their heads are the heaviest part of their bodies, so gravity is what does it.

I'm trying to figure out if a maternity support belt would help me. I have a lot of pan in my upper abdomen with pretty much any sustained activity (even just walking 1/4 mile) and I still get RLP on my lower right side. It's making where it's hard for me to do anything but be a lump. I know they say the support belts are good for you back but I'm thinking maybe it would help my abdomen as well. I have too much stuff to do to be a total couch potato!
I have no idea where my baby's head is. The midwife said she would guess he was head down at my last appointment at 28 weeks. Hm okay.
I had a feeling because this one just feels so different from my son who was head down from 20 weeks on. I saw my fave NP today so she ran and got the portable ultrasound to double check and sure enough there was her little head and hand wayyyyy up the top 👎🏼

I've heard the ice trick before, thanks for the reminder! Baby girl wasn't too pleased them other night when I used her as a coaster momentarily for my ice cream bowl, so I have a feeling this may be effective.... will try it!

Thank you!! and good luck with the names! Maybe if you narrow it down to 2- 3 that you like equally and make your H pick from those? then it takes the pressure off you from being the sole name chooser.

I too will second the great things I've heard about spinning babies and chiropractic care! Honestly if I don't have a breech baby I will totally chalk it up to all the chiropractic care I've been getting. It is definitely saving me!
Finally getting my hair done!! (I'm in the chair now!) Just in time for my shower tomorrow! I so was overdue that much of my color literally got cut out! Lol.
Sunday we have our infant CPR, first aid, and choking class. FX I am able to remember everything in 2 months! 😉

I love my husband but he is sort of driving me nuts. We are in the process of looking for a house, and it is now established it will take long enough that we will not close on anything before I have the baby. My closet is brimming with baby stuff, and I even ordered decorations. He wants to wait to buy a crib and dresser till we know what hpuse we are buying, but it doesn't matter what house, I want a white dresser and crib, and it will go with whatever house. I have some serious nesting urges to get the room done, and it doesn't help that super cute decorating keep arriving from the UPS guy. I think I am just going to order online, and say deal with it
Spent the day with my family today. My grandma passed away earlier this week and the funeral is tomorrow so my sister flew in this morning. I went ahead and took off Monday as well just because I could use an extra bereavement day. Have to go buy DH a suit tonight, the one he has doesn't fit in the waist and the jacket is grey so hard to match.
on the bright side my sister and stepmom got to feel the baby kick today and they were super excited, although he's been unusually quiet today so hoping he'll wake up some after I get a snack.

I have it narrowed down to two, Owen or Colin. I think I may "test drive" both names for a bit and see if one sticks better. If not, I guess I'll just wait until I can get a look at him and see who he looks like!
PirateCat the only way I know where baby's head is because of her hiccups. They are always so low so she has to be head down. She gets hiccups at least once a day so I don't have to guess.
sleepymonkey I think a support belt would really help. I wear mine every day now. When I don't my back pain is worse. It doesn't go away when I wear the belt but it's not as bad.
lupincat love both of those but if I had to vote, I vote Owen. We have a first name but no middle name and are stuck. DH doesn't like my choices and I don't like his. txcatlady so sorry about your grandmother. Sweet that mom and sis got to feel the baby.
AFM, spring break for the kids is coming to an end. They spent the week at my mom's and that was wonderful for everyone. DS was sick almost the whole time and came home still with a fever but my mom is awesome and didn't complain a bit. I got a good bit of work done for my craft fair and MIL and aunt came to clean and organize closets and they did an awesome job!
The luck of the Irish was not with us today. The realtor showed our house and already has an offer, plus 3 more showings tomorrow. Looks like we'll be moving in the next month 😠 Took your advice though and told the landlord they are going to have to strike us a sweet deal if they want us to terminate our lease early! We'll see!

I am sorry for the loss of your grandmother, txcatlady.
lupincat, both names are great so you can't go wrong with either. But I am partial to Owen - we're pretty sure that is what our little guy is going to be named.

That's a pretty sweet deal getting freedom to pick the name! I wish MH wouldn't be so dramatic about any name I suggest 😒 lol

I totally agree with you! A crib is a crib. It's not like they vary tremendously in size so most styles will fit the same. And you can always paint to make sure the crib finish matches. So I vote buy it now!
