So I got a message from the photographer this morning that she has been up all night sick so now she needs to reschedule. Is it horrible of me to think this is just a big excuse? Obviously I didn't say anything to her like that, I just told her to feel better. She better give me a discount on my session though after all this. So my plans for today have now changed. I will be relaxing this morning and then working all afternoon.

Allergies are kicking my butt. Not so much with congestion, but I want to rip my eyes out, they itch so bad. I just took a claritin on top of my normal daily allergy pill. Hoping it helps.
Morning! DH is making a dunkin run with L so I am relaxing on the couch. He was going to knock down our old shed today but the snow put a damper on those plans. So instead we will do some cleaning and put together the bassinet.
@trtlzcy that sucks about your photographer. Definitely sounds like and excuse.
Hi! I'm about to lose my mind. I don't know if this is a new development or I'm just starting to notice it, but every. Single. Time. We say something to n she says "what?" Like she didn't hear us. I have to repeat myself 1 or 2 or 10 times. I'm going to go insane. I told her she needs to use her ears to listen because I'm tired of repeating myself. Sometimes I don't repeat and and she'll respond or do what I ask so i know she heard me. Anyone else deal with this?

slenle I think it's the age. Power struggles and such. I usually tell Cadence "you heard me" or "what part do you not understand". It was fairly short-lived in our house because she quickly replaced it with "I'm busy right now" and "in a minute".

Hi all!
@slene my oldest (7) does the "what?" Thing and it drives me crazy.
Sorry I've been mia this week. My brother and his wife and daughter got in from France on Wednesday night. So happy they made it through customs and immigration ok with everything that's going on. (Sil is Muslim). My niece is two and absolutely to die for. You haven't seen cute until you've heard a two year old speak French!
My lasik went well on Thursday. The process was a bit more intense than I was expecting, and the recovery for a few hours after wicked, but my eyes feel 100% now and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. Being able to see is pretty amazing!
Happy weekend! I'm sitting in the car outside the rink because T fell asleep. DS's team lost their early game but I don't think they cared because then they all went out for breakfast and back to the hotel pool. Next game is in a half hour. T has no idea that he's not a 9 year old. He sat at the big boy's table at breakfast and was teasing them all and then kept splashing them in the pool. They told him he can be their mascot but in his eyes, he's team captain. He's confused by the hotel situation. He keeps asking if he's going to take more baths and brush his teeth again. I guess he can't figure out if this is his new life forever. He also keeps leaving our room to wander so I have to keep the latch at the top of the door locked.
DH just realized an hour into nap that he was supposed to go for a haircut... I'm sure he JUST remembered and didn't intentionally wait so he could extend his kid-free time. Haha. Can't really blame him.

Took some bluebonnet pictures of Cadence at the park, then we came home and planted some flowers. melaniesue05 the Bluebonnets at the park are perfect right now for pictures!
Second hockey game of the day was a 3-1 win. Little kids are asleep and big one is playing knee hockey in a conference room. One of the dads paid for the conference room so the kids would stop running around the entire hotel. There is some sort of party going on with a dj downstairs that is super loud. I'm thankful the kids are sleeping through it but I won't be able to. We went to some chain Italian restaurant here where the kids got pizza dough to play with.
We have another 6 am game in the morning. I think if we lose, we head home but if we win, we play at 2. I'm not sure which way I will be rooting...
I just saw all your guys posts asking about my interview... thank you so much for thinking of me!! I'm sorry I have not been updating. I'm still not doing great. I'll pop in tomorrow and update.
Also, it's good we were away. Just heard that my next door neighbor's car rolled down the street into another neighbor's car. DHs car is usually in the street in front of our house but we put it in the driveway before we left. The neighbor who's car got hit just got the car, as in still had temporary plates.
Other than Christmas eve this past year B has always worn footie pyjamas, I can't find any boys small footies at Carters or any other stores so I bought one pair of regular 2 piece pyjamas.
He liked them, was pumped and tonight lost his shit. His others were in the wash so I promised I'd wash them tomorrow and he insisted on wearing socks with them tonight cause 'it's like footies Mama'.
I've now got to find footie boys small pyjamas, off the amazon i go.
My 8 year old niece was wearing carters footies the other night so they should still sell his size. Do you guys have Kohl's or any department stores that carry carters?
Speaking of preschool (in the other thread) I'm not very pleased with H's current school. It's a daycare that also does preschool in the mornings. But it's all 3-5 year olds together. It's not a large group but I feel like she would get better individualized teaching from a school where the classes are separated by age. So on Friday I signed her up at a different preschool for next fall. It's tues/thurs afternoons. She still naps now but I'm assuming that by the fall she will drop them.
trtlcrzy That gives me hope.I think Sears sells Carters, I'll go have a look this week. Also, I'm being picky and dont want fleece cause of summer coming. I'm checking Amazon.com now and will even pay the exchange if I have to, he was so upset.
I'm not sure what size he's in but there are a bunch of 5T footies on the us carters website.
The past few days are a blur so I'm trying to catch up on here while I have a few minutes of downtime.
We have had 7 showings so far so I've been run ragged trying to keep everything spotless, and/or driving around or to my parents' with the dog. We have two more today, including a 2nd showing to one family whose realtor told ours that the house is their 'first choice' and that she hopes to write up an offer tonight. Fingers crossed!
B had a meet and greet with his soccer team yesterday (go Stallions!...haha, I have a magnet for my car and everything) so DH took him to that and then out to get cleats, shin guards, etc. B was so excited (I think DH was, too).
Chase had a rough night for who knows what reason, so I am dragging. Fortunately we don't have much to do. I need to wash Chase's 18 month clothes and start swapping them in his drawers and... Yup, that's about it.
LizInFL fx you get an offer. If you sell early is the plan to live with your parents? B's soccer team seems serious.
Yes, we'd move in with them. They have a big house and 3 empty bedrooms so it'd be fine. I think they're secretly hoping it works out that way so they get extra time with the kids! And they go up north for the summer so we'd likely only overlap a few weeks anyway.
The team is church league but it is very organized.
