A recently parenting thread has convinced me I need to leave my 7 months of winter behind for warmer weather. And more specifically, Altanta. I like spring I just wish it lasted longer here.
I lived in a place where it snowed at my college graduation... in May. If it wasn't snowing on Halloween, it was usually cold enough that it could. 4 seasons was never a guarantee. Spring and fall were pretty much "blink and you miss it." I'm ready for warm all the time. The only downside I see is that the bugs never die. That seems like a fair trade to never see snow again.

Nope. Not me. I need to live somewhere with 4 seasons. The winter gets long some years but I'd miss snow and fall weather.
I would love living somewhere that didn't have summer. Spring, fall, and winter. I do not like heat at all.
tuscanlatte I'm sorry you got food poisoning but usually those places are the best. H always says if it's a shack off the side of the road it's going to some good BBQ.

I think it's snowed here, MN, in may before but it's rare. Like really rare. Stuff usually starts growing in April. Halloween has been cold enough to snow but not always.

How warm does it get in the summer?
70s or 80s. Rarely 90s. To be fair, snow in May was rare there too. But cold in May is pretty normal.
Tomorrow will be 82. Wednesday will be 52 and low in the 30s. NC is drunk.
Speaking on the weekend randoms... we are still nursing 2-3 times a day. We are going to a wedding in April and will be away 3 nights. I had/have? grand plans to wean then but he is NOT there at all. I'm very conflicted.

Mmmmmm.
Lol we could see into the kitchen and I saw them putting meat in the microwave. First clue that things weren't going to be like on tv haha.
My friend texted this morning wanting to go to lunch. Yay! But now it's 1:15, my stomach is growling and she's MIA. How much longer do I have to wait before bailing would be rude?

When I was still nursing S1 I had a medical situation that prevented me from nursing him for 2-3 days and he is was fine without it. Then picked it back up after. I believe we were only nursing once a day by then. He was 13-14 months

It has been a good day. We had some friends over to play this morning. We get together a few times a week but this was the first time in a while that the kids all played really well together. Amelia is napping and I'm watching TV with a carton of Brownie Blast ice cream #lifeisgood

It shouldn't matter at all but my ILs are very for me stopping... MH has even made a few comments about us still nursing. Bleh

Similarly when DD1 was 18 months old and nursing twice daily I went out of town for 3 days. She picked it right back up again once I was with her again.
Hi ladies. I am far from caught up. I saw the tags from runningmommy519 and redandblue (thanks for checking in). I started typing a reply but got distracted or busy each time. DH was in vegas for his brother's bachelor party all week so it was just me and the girls for 4 days... and then I got mastitis. So I'm still recovering from that and adjusting to my new meds (dr gave me am anxiety rx!) School also starts back today so I'm trying to get organized for that. I hope everyone is doing well I'll be more present this week around here.
OMG guys I got the dates wrong and my family is coming tomorrow!!!
That's exciting! I mean I know you have been stressing and working hard to have your house ready, but the way I look at it, it's your family, they can help when they get there! Win win!

@layloo S1 was15 or 16 months. He self weaned. I know I told this story before but I askedS1 if he wanted to nurse. He shook his head no. I never asked again and he never asked
Even though my son ate a huge portion of frittata, he is now eating mine...
J basically had 3 dinners tonight: soup and crackers, cucumbers and hummus a half hour later, and then about half of my salad. Plus half a cookie and some of H's corn chips and salsa. I have no idea where these kids put it all.
My friend gave J a book about Helen Keller. J is now fascinated with Braille, and wanted to know what French and German words sound like (she learned them). I'm second guessing not doing a language immersion program now.
I get so frustrated with the lack of talking with this one.
His new favorite activity is getting into the baking pan cabinet, literally.
I have an old violin I have been wanting to have repaired and try to pick up learning where I left off in 5th grade. I found a repair shop, but I hope it won't cost too much.
Last Tuesday's storm Stella can eat a bag of ducks, I want my yard back.
