DS picked up a cold this weekend and was up coughing most of the night. Poor guy can't breathe through his nose. I tried saline and suctioning this morning, but not much came out.
Today will not be a good day. I'm in one of those moods where I feel irrationally ill for no reason at all. I just feel mad. I think I'll just lock myself in my office until 5:30.
Pregnancy rage is real! I have been so, so angry lately. I want to smash all the things, and it takes next to nothing to set me off.
Should probably channel the rage into something productive like exercise, but sooooo tired still.

I'm 12 weeks today! FF says 2nd tri, but I thought that wasn't until 13 weeks? I mean....potayto, potahto, I guess it doesn't mean all that much until I start feeling better and we have a good NT scan and tell our families.

I didn't eat dinner last night after having a late lunch and then just being too tired after DS took forever to put to bed. All night I dreamed about food. And peeing. Like, my dreams are literally about eating and then needing to find a bathroom. Where are these interesting and weird pregnancy dreams everyone keeps talking about?
Our campus was on spring break last week, so the caf is celebrating "pie day" today. Will be eating all the pie. That is sure to help my mood, right?
Man, I wish we had somewhere on campus that I could get pie. :( We just have food carts and vending machines until the culinary/bakery area is finished being remodeled this Fall.

Remind me again, what kind of campus do you work on? I am at a fairly small university. Given the small campus, we have pretty good dining options- CFA, Starbucks, Boars Head, & the caf, plus special meals for fac/staff on Wednesdays. Great for my tastebuds...not to great for my hips.
Amazon Prime has totally spoiled me! Whenever I'm online shopping and I can't get free shipping I think it's the rudest thing ever and just click out. How dare you charge me $8.95 if I dont spend $50!

It's a community college, so no fancy food joints on campus. :(

Come work with me and I will take you to eat at all of our fancy food joints. 🍕🌭🍔🥗🌯

Our cafeteria pretty good, but the dessert options usually suck. There are some other good lunch options though. Today we had a departmental training so lunch was catered and it was glorious.
thatgirlrachel, what kind of work do you do on your campus? Faculty? Administration? I feel like I should know this but pregnanting makes me forget stuff.

Ditto on forgetting everything. I do administrative work, HR specifically. I have pregnancy brain too, what type of work are you in?

This is my life. I will not pay shipping, especially if it will take more than 2 days!

My pants are annoying and I have major nip itch. I just want to take off my pants and scratch my boobs. The glass walls of my office makes this impossible.

So who wants to talk to me about maternity bras? My regular ones are officially hurting me.
Once I outgrew my regular bras, I switched to nursing ones. I'll do the same this time, but last time I just got cheapies and I may spend a little more for some new, nicer ones. If you buy soon, I recommend leaving room to fill because those suckers aren't through growing yet.

The first time I was pregnant, I skipped right to nursing bras, which I realize is ridiculous, but they were comfy and some actually fit after the kiddo came. Underwire is a biotch.

OMG I thought I was the only one! Everyone thought I was crazy. I thought it was pretty practical!
Also, nursing tanks rules. Just go up a size or 2.

Ha! I read your post and thought it was mine at first. I didn't see the sense in buying bigger reg bras when I was gonna end up needing nursing bras in the end. Plus I'm cheap so I considered it two birds, one stone.

Rama, I haven't stopped wearing nursing tanks basically since my first LO was born. I'm small chested so I can get away with the tanks + nursing pads for some nip coverage. I like the Target nursing tanks (Gilligan O'Malley) as they have lasted weekly wear for almost 2 years. For nursing bras with no underwire, I like the Bravado Designs Silk Seamless bras.

I also thought my avatar looked wrong when I thought I wrote your post LOL
Thanks all for the ideas and recommendations! I have failed to mention that my boobs were enormous to begin with -- I was a 38G(UK)/38I(US) pre-pregnancy. And, yes, these suckers are growing. Nothing in a typical department brick-and-mortar store will actually fit me, I have to order online pretty exclusively. Also, tanks are probably out of the question because ouch. I need the support. A lot.
Is there any particular difference between nursing and maternity bras (besides the convenient hooky-latchy thing for BFing)? How much stretch do they account for? 2 cup sizes? More? Any band compensation? Preferably, I'd like to stick to something I can wear for the duration of pregnancy until we see what the final results are postpartum with all the milk, but I'm flexible to upgrade as needed. Is Amazon my only good option?

Alright, I've got you on this one. I've got massive boobs too Best brand that I've found is Anita, they even make underwire nursing bras, which is so necessary for me (UK 34H currently, 38I while nursing my son) Amazon sells them, so free shipping/returns to make sure you've got the right size. I wore nursing bras through my last pregnancy, and it was totally fine, since they had the underwire. I'd size up 1-2 cup sizes to start with.
