What is baby's size? Jacks/tator tot/lugnut/The One Ring
Any appointments this week? First OB appt on Friday!
How are you feeling? Physically, not too bad. Emotionally, it's been a hell of a day and nothing in particular has happened. Except crapping myself. I'm just cranky and anxious and I feel so out of the loop about my babies, it's wearing on me today.
Vents/Questions/Concerns: What kinds of questions should I take with me in to the OB on Friday? I've already got that I should ask about a MFM, what our bedrest prospects might look like/what would make me go on bedrest, and expectations/risks/worries about pre-e because of my history of hypertension. I'm sure I'll think of more later, but any help helps.
QsOTW: FTM:What are you most anxious about? At the second? That I've had a MMC. Because PgAL's a bitch. But overall? I'm worried that raising a kid/kids will be harder on my relationship with MrRama than we're anticipating. I'm scared to have a bad relationship with him because he's really the only support I have within a moment's notice. I have local friends and family that would do anything for me, but in most cases, he's what I need.

How far along are you? 8w3d
What is baby's size? Raspberry
Any appointments this week? Nope, not til 4/5
How are you feeling? So so tired, some RLP when I toss and turn at night, and nausea
Vents/Questions/Concerns: I hate being constipated, I probably need to start taking stool softeners again. I wish it was my 10w appt so maybe I'd be able to hear LO on the doppler...
QsOTW:
FTM: What are you most anxious about? I don't have much anxiety, seeing the hb last week helped, but I don't think I'll be okay telling people until after my 12w appt/ NT Scan.
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now? I didn't exercise last pregnancy, I don't remember if I was afraid to or I just didn't want to go anywhere (I hated living in ND) but I'm thankful that I've been able to exercise and keep training for my race in 7.5 weeks. I've had to modify some things but I hope to continue until I'm either too uncomfortable or my dr says stop.

mkrupar, we have the same Edd! Also agree with caitost21, tough at first but sleep training does wonders for everybody! Many methods but highly recommended.

Rama , The 1st year with babies in your case 😉will test your partnership for sure but have faith that your love for each other and your babies will get you through it and your relationship will be stronger because of it. We had tears and harsh exchange of words but they were needed and it was all good - sleep depravation makes you lose your minds. Remember it took both of you to make your babies and will take both of you to raise and love them and you can do it better with each other. Try not to worry too much and accept all the help you can get. You and mr. Rama will be ok.

How far along are you? 11+1
What is baby's size? Profiterole!
Any appointments this week? None.
How are you feeling? Had a very busy couple of weeks which certainly kept the devil whispering in my ears. Maybe turning a corner with MS, can tolerate some chicken dishes cooking but still not able to stomach it but at least I can feed DS and starting to have an appetite.
Vents/Questions/Concerns: Anxious about my NT scan and prescreen next week.
QsOTW: Dont stone me but what does this mean?
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now? Breast is best is no good to both you and baby if you both struggle at it and doesn't make you less of a mom so pushy LCs can shove off.

Rama, I'm sending you all the hugs today! It sounds like you're getting stuck in your own head and getting overwhelmed. Babies are indeed tough. Hell, I only had one and the struggle is so real sometimes. But for every sleepless night and frustrating moment there is an exponentially better moment when your babies give you their first smile or let out a little giggle. Those moments put all of the hard moments to shame and truly make it all worth it. And in my case, they made me fall even more in love with my husband. Together, you, Mr Rama and Baby Ramas will develop a new routine and a new swing of things. You will be fine and you'll both be kick ass parents. 😜

What is baby's size? Plum
Any appointments this week? Yesterday:) sad I won't have any for 4 weeks !
How are you feeling? Still spells of nausea and dizziness but I know it's almost over
Vents/Questions/Concerns:
QsOTW:
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now? After I had DD I wasn't aware of how much it sucked with the bleeding, ice, big underwear and pads .. I had a bunch of stitches and it took me longer to recover that I thought it would, hopefully I have little or no stitches this time !

racegurl87 I didn't exercise last pregnancy and I am this one and I notice a huge difference in my energy, I'm also shocked what your body can still do pregnant ! I've modified a few things also but still doing most of the things .. what kind of race are you doing?

How far along are you? 12 weeks yesterday
What is baby's size? Large plum
Any appointments this week? No, next appt. is April 8th (4D!)
How are you feeling? I feel like I'm getting over the exhaustion hump which I'm thankful for.
Vents/Questions/Concerns:
QsOTW:
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now? That the only necessities newborns really need are diapers, something to eat, something to wear, and some place to sleep. All of the extra stuff is nice to have, but stressing out over what you do or don't have doesn't do you any favors. When the baby gets here, you will learn as you go what new things they may need.

Any appointments this week? Just had one last night, no u/s but was able to hear the heartbeat through the doppler!
How are you feeling? Meh. Ebbs and flows. Mostly just nauseous 24/7
Vents/Questions/Concerns: This is so much harder with a 23lb toddler in tow! I keep getting aches and pulls I never had this early on with my first. Idk how I'm going to last!!
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now?: EAT THE SANDWICH! I'm not as hard on myself as I was the first time around. I dont think of everything as "toxic" to the baby (talking just pregnancy related here). Just use caution with that fish and or deli meat

How far along are you? 11+1
What is baby's size? Brussels sprout
Any appointments this week? Nope
How are you feeling? Mostly fine. I'm down to my last half a unison, so I may attempt to drop it again.
Vents/Questions/Concerns: My MIL is such a bitch and I'd really rather she not be a part of this baby's life at all. I'm so tired of her criticisms and am not looking forward to even more.
QsOTW:
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now?
That it will be OK! That I'll get the hang of breastfeeding, that they will roll over/crawl/walk/drink from a cup, etc etc.

caitost21, OMG i seriously though about Depends but never went there. This time I think I will! and seriously it was like a scene from Psycho the first time I finished in the shower in the hospital with a nurse helping me. Those nurses are god send! I am forever grateful for them. Sorry to hear about your niece, I have a lot of guilt and its mostly on myself. DS basically became a half and half baby. I finally only managed to produce half of his consumption but really I should have saved myself a lot of grief and pain by just FF all the way. I knew I wasn't producing the first few days in the hospital but the LCs just kept on....encouraging but it felt like pushing and my guts told me he needed formula and really it was DS's pedi that told us to go ahead and start alternating giving him a bottle ( he was also jaundiced ) after every feeding and that it was ok to just FF him. My milk didn't show up until 12 days!! I also have a stubborn temperament and wouldnt give up so the next few weeks was sheer hell feeding and pumping round the clock. Bleeding nips off and on for several months - I ended up using Coconut oil - I think lanolin became expensive. At the end of the day it was all good, we managed to nurse until DS was about 15 months and I was pretty much drying up too and done with him chomping on my nips too Ouch!

How far along are you? 12 weeks this Thursday
What is baby's size? Lime
Any appointments this week? Yes! My first OB appt will be on Thursday.
How are you feeling? Some days I feel so exhausted and nauseous, others I feel energetic and fine.
Vents/Questions/Concerns: None this week
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now? I remember thinking that babies just knew what to do when it came to BFing. Like, you just put the nipple by his mouth and he'll latch on. Just like that. LOL Well, that definitely didn't happen. I had a rough start to BFing with DS, and ended up using a nipple shield for the first 10 weeks due to flat nipples. This time around though, I feel like I've got this. I realize it might still be a struggle at first, but I feel ready. Also, my nipples never went back to how they were, so we're already off to a good start!
How are you feeling? Tired & fatigued mostly. Nausea comes & goes. Not as constant as before
Vents/Questions/Concerns: anyone else in maternity clothes! Lovin the pants again. Can't wait for 13 weeks to bust out my maternity scrubs! Once everyone at work knows I won't need to hide it anymore.
QsOTW:
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now? Um, not at the moment. I guess that when H got annoyed early on that I was lame and sleeping all the time I reminded him that it was like this last time, so suck it up & be empathetic, not annoyed.

How far along are you? 9 + 3
What is baby's size? Pecan
Any appointments this week? Midwife today.
How are you feeling? Still tired all the time, nausea and heartburn disappeared last week.
Vents/Questions/Concerns: Just the usual first trip worries
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now? How hard it can be in the beginning. Also that every kid is different, so take other people's advice with a grain of salt and trust yourself.
How are you feeling? overall pretty good. Just exhausted. Slight nausea but nothing unbearable
Vents/Questions/Concerns: I just want to have enough energy to clean the house because it's getting nasty
QsOTW:
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now? what to expect with a csection. I was terrified when the first time and cried the night before. now I'm #breezy.

How far along are you? 10 weeks
What is baby's size? Kumquat, lego man, tetra
Any appointments this week? Nope
How are you feeling? I was feeling better for a few days, but today everything seems to be back to awful.
Vents/Questions/Concerns: DH is getting grumpy about the chores i can't do because of nausea. I really don't want to leave the dishes all for him, i just can't handle standing over the hot water.
QsOTW:
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now? + whatever to phases. And also that i can do it. I've taught middle school with a reverse cycling baby, so clearly sleep is irrelevant to my life when I'm not pregnant.
How far along are you? 10 weeks today! double digits, woot woot!
What is baby's size? tart kumquat
Any appointments this week? this afternoon, u/s to check on baby and my SCH
How are you feeling? constant sore stomach, bloated, nausea has mellowed out a little but still there, feel like nothing i eat satisfies me
Vents/Questions/Concerns: see above. sleeping sucks and my entire mid section hurts which keeps me up half the night.
QsOTW:
STM: What do you wish you knew the first time around that you're happy you know now? That breastfeeding really does get easier. The first few weeks can be really, REALLY hard but after a while, it all kind of falls into place. I know this may not be the case every time, but it is helpful to have been through it before.
