Hang in there mama mikaela20. bf'ing with ds felt the same. It always felt like 1 step forward then 2 steps back. It's so tiring emotionally and physically.
Thank you. I'm holding back tears feeding him a bottle of breast milk. I really hope we don't end up exclusive pumping.
I wish I could hug you! If you do it doesn't mean you can't or won't be able to nurse. Just try as much as you can mentally or physically handle if that's what you want to do.
I'm seriously considering "baby wearing" my breast pump so that I can more effectively multitask while pumping. So thankful that I got the Spectra pump with the built-in battery. Not being tethered by a power cord is a game changer.
I think that is a fabulous idea! Do you like the Spectra? I just ordered mine last week, but haven't received it yet.
Rather than revive the name thread, I'll throw this here: Would the initials WAR be a deal breaker for you? DH thinks it's cool, but with the FN being Wynn it seems weird.

the 1 step forward, 2 steps back applies perfectly to all aspects of parenting.
I "weighed" my babies on the scale today - i.e. weighed myself and then held each one on the scale. according to my calculations, baby boy weighs more than his twin sister (1st time EVER). you would never know by looking at them.
We went for a walk yesterday when my H got home. When we got home, C grabbed the front wheel of the stroller and tipped it backwards. L was not strapped in. Luckily, the sun shade was pulled up on both the stroller and infant seat. She also had a big puffy blanket on her so she basically just got tipped from her back to her stomach. The sun shade kept her from falling out onto the concrete and the blanket protected her from the hard plastic of the stroller. She didn't even wake up from her nap. It was definitely heart stopping though.
Moral of the story: strap baby in their seat EVERY TIME.

I LOVE my Spectra S1! In my opinion, it's 100x better than the Medela PISA I had with DS1, and I'd even consider it comparable in terms of efficiency to the Medela Symphony they let me use in the NICU. Highly recommend.
Awesome. I used the PISA for DD, and heard nothing but good things about the Spectra. Looking forward to getting it!

Are you into monogramming? How often would you see / use all 3 initials?
I say if you love both names then go for it.
Even in the case of monogramming - would the R not appear in the middle anyway? So, at first glance you wouldn't necessarily be reading it as WAR. In the grander scheme of things, I don't feel like initials really get much attention IRL (outside of monogramming) anyway.
Personally, it wouldn't stop me if H and I loved the name.

We had another successful outing with both kids! DD refused to nurse more than 10 minutes total so I'm very full and I'm sure she'll spend the rest of the day making up for it.

I think Dh took too much time off work. He said today that he'll be more talkative when he goes back to work. He didn't mean it in an asshole way, but my PP self is having a hard time not taking it personally. We've basically been taking turns yelling at DS. He took him to the park and I picked up the toys in the living room because I'm tired of getting on him about everything.

I didn't know this existed! I honestly might spring for a THIRD pump! (Have a Manuel one for when I am out and about right now...)
I don't do either of those. I don't even always warm up the refrigerated breast milk. And the other day...I forgot to put socks on my newborn. 😳(They do always fall off....always....)

glb30 it really is when you're not used to being together every. Single. Day. I'm used to Dh being gone 3 days/nights per week. This is a lot of togetherness.

. I was expecting him to take just 1 rotation(3 days off) which would was going to have him home until today. Nope. He took off 2 rotations so we still have another week except for 12 hours on Saturday. Job #2 asked him to fill in a bit over the next week and a half so I'm hoping that gets him out of the house. It's going to be nice here the rest of the week and we are sending ds to MIL's the rest of the week so that should help.

We all need a break from each other.
I felt this way when my H we stayed home the first week. It was just too much time together while being sleep deprived.
I just realized we don't have anything defrosted for dinner. I'm conveniently not going to mention this to H until he's home from work then casually suggest sushi delivery, I'm so excited
I just realized I hav'nt had sushi my whole pregnancy! I need this back in my life asap.
