They're so great live. I'm looking at tickets for the Hollywood Bowl but Pete can't make it. My BFF is on assignment in Costa Rica and I'm hoping he'll be home for the show.

There are discounted tickets on Zulily for that, I believe.

I'll see if what they have is better than StubHub. Thanks!
@cher or kim22, I want to set up a Shore trip in August. I've never done it with kids before and I want to find a small family friendly boardwalk. Cape May? Point Pleasant? Asbury? And I also wanted to see if I could find a beachside hotel that was more resort than hotel. More like the hotels in Atlantic City with interior rooms, restaurants, etc. Any ideas?
We have always done a house in Stone Harbor. Super cute family town but not many hotels. Keight38 has a house in the area. It's near Cape May. Wildwood Boardwalk is big but Sea Isle City has a small one. I don't know any hotels besides gross Seaside Places we stayed for prom.
DH is from Ocean County so we do a lot of daytrips to Point Pleasant to meet his family. The Boardwalk is cute but I would probably not stay right there with young kids as it gets a little crazy for my taste as a family trip. We met in Lavalette but there was a lot of Sandy damage in that area.
LizInFL congratulations! I sent your house to my friend who is moving but I knew you would sell before she is ready. Her H needs to start his job July 1 but she wants her kids to finish the school year here on June 23rd.
The Jersey Shore will be DH and I's first real fight. We want to buy a second home but I will want it in Stone Harbor and he will want Lavalette. Clearly, Stone Harbor, one of the most expensive towns in NJ will fit my budget

My friend bought a studio condo in SH right after we graduated college. So smart on her part.
H promised me I can buy a shore house in OC around my 40th.

My grandfather almost bought a house in the 80's but decided they had too much fun going down to look at rentals each year. They took us for 2 weeks every August. My cousin will buy there one day. He's recently married and he and his wife both make great money and do not want kids ever.

Everybody in my family has houses. My mom grew up going down to her parents' home, now my mom and all of my aunts and uncles have houses and everyone in my generation just stays in their houses. Eventually, we all have to get homes so our kids can freeload off us.
Now much going on here. The oldest goes back to school tomorrow, but Ryland still has the rest of the week off. It's been nice but weird having my brother, his family, and my parents here. I'm so happy they moved back, but we are so used to not having family around, and therefore not having family obligations. I'm embracing it, because I know they will probably only stay on az for a mont or so, I'm just not used to having to check in with people or tell anyone my plans.
lfigge i haven't caught up on all the threads I've missed but I'm sorry to hear your dad has been hospitalized. Glad he seems to be doing better and will be going home soon
Guys...Clark can now pick the lock on his door. WTF.
How?! This is my worst fear! We have a little pin hole that you can pick the locks but you need some finesse and I keep the pins up above the door frame so he can't reach.
ugh. Ours isn't the pin hole one. First he used a little plastic thing, then a coin he got out of his piggy bank (his piggy bank was up on a shelf) and then I have no clue what he used after that. He wouldn't tell me. Nothing is safe! Can you imagine if our boys were in a room together? I can't even imagine what they'd come up with together...

Mystery of the pants solved. After dance class all of the girls were changing and Cadence apparently delegated who got to wear what. She chose the leggings with cat faces on the knees even though they weren't hers.
H was so sweet tonight. First she insisted on brushing my hair, so I let her do that for a while. Then when DH took her to get ready for bed I laid down on the floor. She came out and told me that it was time for me to go to sleep, covered me with her little 2x2 baby blanket, and then "read" me a story.
All of you ladies talking beach houses is making me jealous! I think we're going to do a Carlsbad trip while I'm on maternity leave. That'll get me a fix of beach. Can't wait!
Also can't wait to not be pregnant. I'm almost 35 weeks and, man, am I uncomfortable. Third baby in 4 years is no joke. My body is mad at me!
