I LOVE LOVE LOVE the rnp! It was a lifesaver on many occasions and will be using it again! I will talk that thing up and down and if you are thinking of using it I say do it!
So I was up from 2:30-4 with some intense back pain wondering if it was back labor (didn't have it with Clara). Then I got up and peed and it pretty much stopped. So here I am at work. Ugh. I want it to be Friday so I can go to the OB and get her input on what is going to happen. Inducing or waiting. WFH or what.
I'm a huge RnP fan. I'll cross the addiction bridge if and when we get to it.
Me too! But it was easy to transition Clara to her crib!

I had to go into the office to help my brother for a few. He couldn't log in to our bank and they wouldn't let him do anything over the phone. The problem: he was using Chrome and not Explorer.
Prior to leaving I threw a fit and was crying. I need my emotions to level out asap. That was not a big deal.
DD was an absolute terror last night. I was up with her from 1-4am. My H spent 2hrs trying to get her down at bedtime too. He called in to work because he was just too exhausted. I'm glad he did because his commute is an hour each way and his job is dangerous. I always worry so much if he goes to work sick or tired.
In other news, we paid off our credit cards with the cheque I got last week. I had earmarked a bit of money for new dining chairs (I have a table and no chairs) and then I realized we need to pay our property taxes. Oops. Chairs are going to have to wait.

Ib know a lot of people cringe about what I'm going to say but...
DS was addicted to his and at 6 months we sleep trained with CIO with check ins. I fully intend to do this with DD because it worked and DS has been a great sleeper ever since then.

It worked for DS too. He is an awesome sleeper and I totally credit it to learning to self soothe.
We use the RNP and I love it. We did for DD and are doing again for DS. I was fearful of moving DD to her crib, but honestly didn't have any issues. I'm hoping for the same this time. We also don't have a crib for DS yet. We are waiting to see if DD is going to keep put in hers before we got to buy one for him.
@priss08 - I'll be joining you for sleep training. It was such a game changer for us and DD is a good sleeper now too. I was getting up three times a night with her and then we went to sleeping through the night.
AFM, I think work fails to understand that I'm on maternity leave. I've gotten a lot of 'emergency' emails and phone calls recently. I'm already up to 3 comp days when I go back based on time worked. I'm not going to be the jerk that doesn't help them out, but my goodness people you better hope I never quit. You'd be so screwed.
As soon as I can, as in when were out of newborn territory when sleep is precious, I start putting down sleep but awake. I actually started that this week with MINIMAL success but....ya know, KOKO.
I'm rambling but I'm just trying not to have a super dependant sleeper because DS was for so long and it sucked.

The baby has possibly inherited my tendency to sleep with my eyes open at times. She opens hers from time to time while sleeping and sometimes they're rolled back. Just now she smiled and made a laughing noise then her eyes rolled back in her head. Creepy.

OMG I forgot about this. DS did it and it was so weird at first.
I just spotted by my house to check in. The painters have been working since DS was born (so 2 weeks). They should be finished this week, but holy cow, it looks amazing! I can't wait to get this reno done and move back in. But after seeing the work they did, I can't believe this is my house!

I think we are dealing with reflux over here. I'm hoping its chocolate that is causing the issues. I've eaten a shit ton of mini frosted donuts and the lactation bites Dh made have m&m's and chocolate chips in them. I'm going to start there before cutting out dairy.
I am creeping on my next-door neighbor's house online. I noticed the other day that they have a for sale sign up and I just remembered to look it up. It is listed for just over $120k more than we bought our house for only 2 years ago. They have a small in law suite in the basement but otherwise, I'd say our house is better for at least a handful of reasons.
I'd be a lot more excited about this if the market wasn't absolutely ridiculous in the GTA right now. Even if we made $120k selling our home, we could still never afford to buy anything better. Prices have skyrocketed. I'm just so happy we got into the market when we did. It'd be impossible now.
Team RnP here, too. I was hesitant to use it with DS, but it became how I took a shower every day and was my go-to on really bad nights. I bought a second one for this little guy so that I can keep one upstairs and one on our main floor!
Any STMs notice if they dropped before baby #2 arrived? If so, how long before you went into labor did you drop? I'm going crazy comparing bump pics from dd1 with current pics and while I think I'm lower than I was at this point w/ DD1 I'm definitely not as low as I was when I went into labor (41w, the morning I went in for induction), and it's driving me nuts. Just wondering if anyone else compared lowness between pregnancies.
I feel generally like crap today, just blah, slightly nauseous off and on, etc. Of course I read into it but am thinking more and more that I'm going to go late again. Boo.

This time, I dropped the day my water broke. But I think unfortunately that it's one of those things that might mean something or not. With DS1, I never dropped but had a fast labor at 38w6d.

I don't think I dropped much at all before having DD. Granted, she was a giant at 10lbs5oz so I don't think she had anywhere to go. There was literally zero real estate that she wasn't already occupying. Last time, with DS I carried lower the entire time and dropped prior to delivery.
So, maybe you have a big baby with no room to drop?
Thanks caer & obi. I know I'm just overthinking every minor detail as I get closer and closer to my due date, it's the worst! Thanks for talking some sense into me

The last few weeks and days are so hard! Hang in there.
kaits8 I am in the same boat! I haven't dropped yet and this waiting game is something else! It's strange to go about your day knowing that at any moment it could dramatically change!
