akraus2015 we went through 20-24 diapers the first two days. He pooped every change for a few weeks 😅
Personally, we use disposables until the meconium tar is gone and the circumcision heals and then move to cloth
I packed 24 for the hospital, but we may end up wanting to use disposables. I'm leaving my favorite diapers at home, just in case the meconium is super yucky. I'm also going to bring liners...I just need to cut and wash them first. Maybe I'll tackle that on Friday.
mustloveerica - Seriously adorable! Hope they're being nice and sweet for you today.
They're always sweet! But I think we're still in the honeymoon phase where they just sleep all the time and never cry. Ask me again next week when DH goes back to work lol.
You guys....The genetic counselor just called...Our Panorama came back low risk for everything, including Triploidy(what we lost the last baby to). I'm so in shock right now. I cannot believe this is actually happening.
Oh and she called back and left me a VM telling us the sex of the baby so that I can listen to it with DH tonight! I might have to lock up my phone for the rest of the day!

My team was going to take me out for lunch today but I have to go buy DD a dress at lunchtime instead. Boo! I swear her daycare said that pictures were Tues and Wednesday so I sent her in a dress yesterday. Come to find out they're Wednesday and Thursday and she is insisting on wearing a dress tomorrow. So off to the mall I go, like a sucker, missing my free lunch. But on the bright side, I'm going to get my free birthday drink at Starbucks while I'm at the mall. I don't want coffee so I need to figure out something else that is yummy. Any suggestions?

How long does the meconium poop last??
The big one was the first diaper, but he still had some retained for another 4ish changes (so about 5 total). I don't know if it's normal or not for it to all not pass at once

akraus2015 I think some of it can depend on how long it takes your milk to come in. I distinctly remember at our two day appt that DD's stool had transitioned and was "normal" BF newborn poop at that point.
akraus2015, I'm impressed with your commitment to cloth diapering. I definitely do not want to deal with diaper laundry during the first few days or even weeks - I'm not sure yet how long we'll do disposables.

I did but they're OS, not newborn, so we won't use them at first. They look so huge compared to NB diapers!!
For NB I went with BumGenius, Imagine, and Lil Joeys.
Did the quality hold up with the brand name diapers? Was the shipping ok?
I'm not going to do newborn I've decided. Once baby is big enough to wear the one size, I'll start to cloth diaper.
I think the quality looks great, although I haven't prepped or washed them yet. Compared to my NB diapers, I'd guess they might need an extra insert if he's a heavy wetter, but there's a pocket opening to add absorbency, so that should be NBD.
Shipping took about 3 weeks, but I expected that so I wasn't too worried about it.
The only thing I'm concerned about is that they look SO big. I took a picture compared to a NB and compared to my hand...they just seem huge. But I don't have any other OS to compare them to right now.
akraus2015 , the couple I have look about that big. I think they are pretty standard in size.
Crazy that he's going to come out so small and then grow so big in such a small amount of time!
I've promised myself I won't buy any more diapers until after my showers and H's diaper party, but I do have several different kinds on my registry that I want to try out. Once I have a few of each kind, I can pick my favorites and the ones that fit him best, and get more of those.
The ones currently on my registry (all AIOs): - Etsy WAHMs (by montanafluff) - Alvas - Nicki's - BG Freetimes - BG Elementals - Grovia - Grovia O.N.E.
