I love this feed - everyone is sooo cute! Jane slept like crap last night. You guys are not kidding about the 4 month regression in sleeping. NOT COOL - She was too tired to actually open her eyes, but not too tired to stop crying, whimpering, and screaming. Ugh. I have energy this morning, but I'm just waiting for the crash.
Today, I'm cleaning up toys, taking one of our pack and play's down to put up our swivel play thing . Jane is getting into playing more and more. It's really fun to watch. Also heading out to lunch with a friend of mine for a late birthday thing. Should be fun.
I felt guilty again (and it's been a while) taking Jane to daycare. Since she didn't sleep last night I thought maybe I should keep her home with me, then I was like...Um, so we both get no rest EVER?! She was all smiles this morning and I think I'll just go pick her up early when I'm done with all my stuff so we can hang out longer. I get so excited when I go pick her up.
Does anyone else to Dependent Care FSA? We're doing it and I'm constantly turning in the receipt early so I can pay for the next month with our refunded money. I think it will only last through June or July since the max is 5k, but it sure has helped.
Lots to do today! DS1 is at school and DS2 is at daycare. Baby D is helping me clean. He use to love the vacuum, now he screams. But he was fine when I had him on my hip while vacuuming. Trying to pick up some of their mess.
DS1 will be home in 1/2 hour. I'll nurse the baby, then go to lunch and Kohls. DS1 needs some new sneakers and I've got s 30% off coupon. Oh, I think mommy needs some new shirts too! Then we'll pick DS2 up on the way home.

I called out sick again. I tried eating dinner last night and paid for it dearly all night long. I felt like my intestines were getting punched. Took the boys to DC earlier. Came home and had almond butter sandwich for breakfast. Just waiting to see how my tummy reacts.

Ooof. I hope you get some rest today while the boys are at D.C.

littlelion, DD definitely takes after my side of the family, but we aren't sure about DS! He doesn't really look like anybody right now. Hope you feel better!!
Winnifred, I LOVE that. SO cool to see her from an embryo. Science is amazing!!

catherineoctober, we are doing the $5,000 dependent care too! So, I'm trying not to use it just yet so we can get reimbursed $5,000 at once. It's my lazy person's way of (hopefully) adding to our savings account this year. WE are less than a month into it so we'll see...

Okay, I feel dumb because we enrolled but I didn't realize we needed to submit anything. Clearly I should google this. It won't even cover half the cost of daycare but it's something at least.

Totally not dumb! I'm sure every plan does it differently, but you basically have to submit your receipts to get reimbursed with the actual money. I don't think it happens automatically.

That makes sense. We paid our first month when we reserved our spot last year, but we'll start getting billed again when she starts next month. Goodbye all my money. 🙄

SO, our daycare bill = our mortgage. I keep joking with MH that we could have had a fabulous vacation home the past few years and we never knew it.
@kc295905, I adore the little crabs on his outfit!! requiressnacks, your babies always look like they KNOW things and they're keeping them from everyone but each other. It's so cute! mrsp121308, I keep waiting for Cora to outgrow the car seat hate. So far it's only gotten worse, not better
I ordered a high chair for Cora yesterday on Amazon. I was going to go look in person, because I need to get out of the house, but her hatred of the car seat has me dreading putting her in the car. Yesterday I had a 5 minute drive to school to pick up DS and she screamed so hard that it took me several minutes to get her calmed down again. I'm torn between my need for Target and my baby's hatred of the car.

Right!? You find this money you've had all along and think, what did we buy before!? For us it was lots of dining out.

I keep looking at the baby pics. I think this is better than therapy! Every single one of them is so dang cute!
For the Childcare FSA thing, you just have to turn in itemized bills/receipts. I wish I could wait and just have the money in our savings at the end of the year. Maybe that'll be my goal next year. We are getting closer and closer to being debt free (except for student loans and Mortgage) It's exciting.
