Hi calishove! Everyone in Phoenix does NSEW directions and it took me forever to get used to it. Now I'm good in Phoenix, but if I'm somewhere else I couldn't for the life of me tell you which direction north was.
@peachsmama I missed AGAIN!! Darn carpool! Can you snap me?
@tgrimes gargle? Is that better than just drinking it? I've done two shots today diluted with water.
Her lasik people, did you find eye healed faster/better than the other? My right eye bothered me for a few hours longer after surgery and it still seems mildly hazy comprared to my left eye. Like it's not blurry, just not as sharp. And I feel like I'm needing to drops in it more. My niece lightly knocked me in it like 5 days after surgery, but my vision is t blurry, it doesn't hurt and I don't have any symptoms that the flap necessarily got shifted. I don't know if I'm noticing it because I'm hyper aware.
73jewels had some issues after her lasik, she might have some input
trtlcrzy, late weekend openings are annoying! We wanted to get up early and head into the cities last Saturday. Nothing good opened until at least 10am. How are you supposed to get anything done?
ND had a law that no stores can open before 12 on Sundays. It's some dumb old religious thing. They should abolish it. But yes, stores that open at 10 (the mall) drive me nuts.

Mn just passed a law a couple weeks ago to now be able to buy alcohol on a Sunday. It's never been allowed here but we'll be able to starting in July. Weird old laws.

xolastunicornxo i had one eye heal slower when I had LASIK. I don't remember exactly how long it took but it eventually caught up (probably about a month) But now, 5 years later, I'm noticing changes in my vision. I think I need driving/ nighttime glasses

Chiming in just to talk about Fargo... I worked there for a couple weeks back when Family Wellness was opening up. I loved it! They definitely had a Starbucks back then though. And a Caribou. I loved Granite City and their yummy beer cheese soup.

Hi! Long day... just catching up. I was speed reading and not love titting. I sat at work all day uncomfortable in my too small scrub pants. Well... it's really just the waistband. My new pants should be arriving on my doorstep soon. Good thing Friday is blue jeans day.
Hi calishove! I didn't know you were anticipating a move. I thought your new job just kept you extra busy!
snoopmommymom how bad is the burn? Is it blistered? That's about all we did. Wash and dry before the Neosporin and then we had to keep it wrapped with gauze until it healed

I just heard that there are Starbucks' inside the Targets, of which there are two! Haven't come across either. They are near the elusive mall I haven't found. Lots of location finding fails happening here.

Yea it's just her two finger tips. But it is already blistered.
We left the blister in tact until the dr cut it off the next day. The Neosporin won't do much over the blister, but once they pop I would but bandaids on with a glob of Neosporin. They also make a Neosporin + pain relief that we used. No clue if it helped, but the thought of it helping the pain was nice.
xolastunicornxo I had way more issues with my left eye healing. It hurt so bad the first couple of days following surgery, I wanted to cut my eye out. I texted the surgeon and asked if he'd give me numbing drops, but he said it causes the recovery to take longer so he wouldn't recommend them. I went and saw him 2 days after when the pain was the worst and he said he could see that the left eye was scratchy and not healing well, but just to keep up the drops.
Do you have a prescription for restasis? I think that really helped create more tears.
I think after a week to week and half, I had no more pain. It can take over a month for everything to heal and your vision to get where it should be.
This makes me feel so much better! I'm not in pain, more just... aware. Does that make sense? Like I can "feel" my right eye.
I have two prescription drops and then the artificial tears, which I'm being really good about. It's only been a week today, so I'm hoping in the next week my right eye feels as good as my left! With that said, I'm still loving the results!
xounicornxo trtlcrzy is correct - I had the surgery almost 2 years ago. My recovery was simple but my eyes were not corrected to20/20. They are going to have to go in and redo it but he wanted to wait till 6 months out to make sure they didn't improve. Then I got pregnant. Now they won't touch them till 6 months after I'm done breastfeeding
Definitely discuss any concerns you have w your dr but I second what pp said about keeping your eyes hydrated. To this day I find that's important. I used the restasis and then just regular re wetting. Drops
Y'all, Beauty and the Beast was really good. Such a great cast--you don't really realize til the end just who all is in it. My mom and I enjoyed it so much. The wine we got probably didn't hurt, either.
ETA: apparently Caroline was *not* pleased with bottles and screamed...and screamed...and screamed. This from the kid who rarely even cries...I think my H is traumatized. He said it took 45 min to get a bedtime bottle down and she finally fell asleep put of sheer exhaustion. I really need to work on the bottle thing before our trip in May.
I got a call tonight that my uncle passed away. He is a transient so no one really ever knew his whereabouts, even his kids. He passed on 3/11 or 12 but today they finally found contact info for my cousin. How sad for her and her brothers. I haven't seen him since I was a kid probably. He had very poor health the last I knew.
