I haven't worn shorts or any item that bares my leg since I went to Mexico nearly five years ago.
I have horrendous varicose veins in my legs, thread veins all over my ankles. Chillblanes on both feet. I have scars from ingrowing hairs everywhere. My legs are dreadful.
I am far too self conscious to show my legs (I would wear a dress to an event but with tights that smooth out their appearance).
Granted, our summers aren't exactly scorching, but even on the hottest days, I prefer to be uncomfortable and sweaty than embarrassed by my legs.

That's a sad state of affairs 😢
but you are a fabulous person and mum to 3 kids, if someone takes issue with how your legs look they can shove it! And if you are really self conscious, can you get Sally Hensen leg makeup over there? It sounds weird but it's amazing, like foundation for legs that stays on until you wash it off
I'm really surprised no one wanted to argue fur trade
I think animals that are killed for other purposes than for fur, you should still use all of their by products including skin and fur since they're already dead. I don't agree with raising animals just for fur, but it's a pretty weak argument if you eat meat and we raise animals for meat. It pains me to think about animals being treated poorly. But I do believe our bodies are made to eat meat to thrive. I do wish all animal industries including cosmetics had stringent regulations and checks. It's impossible to argue without quickly being shown your hypocrisy if you still use makeup tested on animals or wear uggs (which I do.)

yes unless you are a true vegan and use no animal byproducts at all and take no medications tested on animals or use cosmetics it's hard to argue animal cruelty. Also, animals that are raised for their fur on farms are overall better treated than animals raised for meat. When animals are mistreated then it generally shows in their coats, so if high quality pelts are your end product you need to treat the animal well.
And as an interesting point on using the whole animal - in Denmark, who are the largest producers of mink fur, they use the caracas after the pelt has been removed and turn it into biofuel. The minks are also fed on a diet of meat scraps from the meat farming industry that would otherwise be left as waste.

You seem to be assuming that I shave my legs!!
The sally Hansen might get caked in the stubble and spoil the look. 😄
