We had a good night. Everyone was in bed by 8 and alex only woke up once to eat! This morning after he nursed I took him to change his diaper on the sofa and he fell back asleep. DC says he likes to fall asleep while playing on the mat.
Breakfast has been had. My tummy seems to be back to normal and Alex seems content nursing. Yesterday I left work it was so warm I rolled down my windows. By the time I got to DC it was chilly, temp dropped so fast! Dh is at work and it's been raining. No plans.
requiressnacks the joys of motherhood. Hope you all feel better soon. I hate when congestions just drag on and on.
The doctor doesn't really do anything for congestion, right? I considered bringing them in today, but aside from stuffy noses and coughing- they seem happy.

Nope. Tells you use the saline drops and humidifier. If it gets really bad then they do a special treatment for breathing. My cousin had to do that for her 1 yo.
We're finally home. Abigail had awful ear pain(I'm guessing) on one flight because we came down real fast into LAX after being at a real high altitude to get over some turbulence. I've never heard her scream like that before. It was so sad, she wouldn't nurse through it. She slept through our entire last flight though. I feel like I'm getting sick so I'm going to try to sleep a lot today and fight it off, dh can get all his snuggles in.

Our plans changed last night bc it was so warm out we had our friends over to hang out on the deck and eat pizza and have some drinks. The toddlers ran around and the babies stared at each other 😂. We skipped swimming lessons this afternoon bc it's nice out again and DH is building a pergola for our deck. I can't wait to hang lights around it and sit out back this summer ✨🍷
N woke up this morning with a red, watery eye. It was a little gunky too. I made him an appt, then cancelled it bc I'm crazy and can't make decisions. I thought it looked better after his nap so FX he just poked himself in the eye or something, which he does a lot.
Is he building the pergola from a kit? Or on his own? That's my next outdoor project for my husband!
Omgosh today has been nonsense already. I woke up to DD2 yelling at DD1 to leave her alone, so I got up and found they had grabbed a bunch of my sticker paper and colored all over it with crayon. And there was a huge patch of green crayon colored on the carpet...luckily that came out easier than I expected. I took them with me to go get a coffee, and now we're back home and they're running around "punching zombies". Kids can be so weird sometimes. I think after DS wakes up from his nap, I'm going to take them all to Michael's so I can use a 60% off coupon. I'm not sure what we'll do after that. FI isn't feeling well, and my coffee isn't waking me up as much as I'd hoped. It's pretty cloudy but not cold, so maybe we'll go to the park.
What's everyone's LOs been up to lately? DS has started trying to grab his feet. He doesn't really try to grab toys, but his feet definitely fascinate him.

Abigail is close to rolling over. She almost has a couple if times. We're going to get an exersaucer sometime soon for her as well.
I'm headed to a nursery this afternoon. I'm terrible with plants, but my goal is to get a lime tree! I think if I'm in charge of only one plant it will be okay. I really want to be able to pull a line off the tree for a cocktail whenever I want. 😎

I'm in the market for one too. Would love to find one used though. I hate how huge they are, but this baby wants to sit up! The playmat won't cut it much longer. She loves the sit me up seat.
I took DD1 to see Beauty and the Beast first thing this morning. I snuck in coffee and we had popcorn for breakfast. Then I spent 2 1/2 hours cleaning the kids room. They're finishing it now while Cora and I camp on the couch watching Gilmore Girls.
Tomorrow we're going to see a Milwaukee Admirals game. Should be interesting with 3 kids and a baby.
requiressnacks, have you tried Vicks on their feet? That might help a little.
We went to lunch today and I went to target to take advantage of their formula/diaper deal. We're just hanging out at home now. It's gross and rainy out.
And I slept until 9:30 this morning!! Omg! Whoops... dh was up with the baby at 6.
Sometimes I think I'm too light of a sleeper. Last evening after I placed him in the crib asleep he woke up and started fussing and cried a bit. I was busy with Leo. By the time I got to him he'd fallen back asleep. But motn it's not easy to wait it out and see if he'll just fall asleep again.

I totally forgot about that Vicks thing!!
Hope you enjoyed your sleep! And your H is amazing. Mine never hears the babies. Eye roll.

I want this in our backyard so much! Maybe with our tax refund I can convince DH to do it for me.
In the past 24 hours we've been to the pediatrician twice. I took DS yesterday because of his congestion. They ended up doing a nebulizer treatment yesterday and then had us bring him back this am to check him out. Of course DD is starting to get all stuffy now too.
On a good note, I just got back from a TCF meet up with a bunch of ladies from 3T. It was so nice to finally meet people I've been talking to for a while.
N is currently asleep in his crib! (It's only been half an hour, so no telling how the rest of the night will go yet.) I put him down fully asleep in his Merlin suit - we'll try to tackle the whole "drowsy but awake" thing later.

Good morning. Twins had a rough night and so did I. They were up every 3-4 hours. How did I ever do this when they were newborns?!
I'm going to call the doctor when they open at 9 just to make sure there isn't more I could be doing. They are so congested and miserable. Best thing I ever did was find a pediatrician open 7 days per week.

How did it go?!
All in all, not super successful (but not a 100% fail). He did the first 2 hour stretch in his crib, which is by far the longest he's ever slept in there. Then he woke up and I got him back down for 15 min, then up, then down for 30 min, then we did up and down for a while with him going 5 sec - 5 min before crying. By then it was 11, and I'd been up since 5, so I caved and put him in the RnP. We'll try again tonight. Hopefully he'll keep getting used to it.
