@kc295905 Alex does this kicking around in his sleep that rattles his crib. His eyes are closed but I'll pick him up and just holding him he'll fall deeper asleep. These are the times I wish I had swaddled.
I made our favorite pancakes for breakfast and wanted to share the recipe. The recipe is pretty versatile -- I leave out the nuts and raisins, and sometimes throw in chocolate chips. I use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream when I have it. The kids will eat the leftovers cold right out of the fridge without anything on them.
Lucy these pancakes sound heavenly! I've never had luck making my own pancake batter but I'll give it a shot.
It's very forgiving! It comes out kind of thick, so plan on cooking them lower and longer or they'll burn before the middle is done. I started making them when DD1 was a toddler and she loved them all by themself. I liked them because she was a super picky eater and they had fruit, protein and oats in them. They seem to cook best as small pancakes, which is great for toddlers too!
So I could have been to the store and back twice already as I sit here waiting for Abigail to wake up from her nap to eat. She and dh are being very cute napping together.
I need to catch up! Busy weekend here! I took DS2 to swim class yesterday am, got home and took a quick shower. We headed an hour south to the boys' friend's (our friends' son) birthday party. Left there and headed 1 1/2 hours north for our friends' daughter's 21st birthday party. We stayed over and brought the boys snow tubing today. Last day of the season. They had so much fun!
And I NIPed in the ski lodge. It was pretty empty, but there were a few people omg here. I think I'd feel more comfortable doing it other places if I had a nursing cover instead of just a blanket.

All in all, not super successful (but not a 100% fail). He did the first 2 hour stretch in his crib, which is by far the longest he's ever slept in there. Then he woke up and I got him back down for 15 min, then up, then down for 30 min, then we did up and down for a while with him going 5 sec - 5 min before crying. By then it was 11, and I'd been up since 5, so I caved and put him in the RnP. We'll try again tonight. Hopefully he'll keep getting used to it.

I'm really lucky, 'my MIL came over to watch the twins so I could have a break. I went to the gym with my sister and then to Carter's and Target. I am sooooo tired, but feeling a bit more energized to be a parent.
Also, I got bathing suits, hats and sunglasses for the babies at Carter's. Necessary, right?
And I got chicken wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cream cheese at Target. Can't wait to make it for dinner.

Sounds like you have a Super Target. So jealous. My two closest Targets are both regular Targets. One doesn't even have a Starbucks! #FirstWorldProblems
requiressnacks they don't even really do anything for a cough. I usually bring them in after ~ 2 weeks of coughing or before if it sounds really bad to get their lungs listened to. They've always been clear and then I'm usually told it could last a couple more weeks, but should clear up. I really wish there was cold/cough meds for babies. I think it bothers us more than them though.

@cahistoryteacher glad the trip went well. Poor baby girl though.
@kc295905 outdoor drinking for the win! The babies started at each other. 😂 Hope N's eye is ok.
lbonga1 my two big ones do all kinds of crazy things too. Lol. DS tries to grab his feet and is holding on to some toys and batting some. He rolls onto his side and back and rolls again and back. Haha.
lola every year I look on Pinterest for ideas for my flower beds and pots and every year they're a lot sadder than I imagined.

When we were leaving the ski resort today (1 1/2 he drove back), DH asked if I was driving. So I asked him if he was getting up to feed the baby tonight. He said so you want me to drive. I said so you don't want to feed the baby tonight? 🙄

mrswillie I have a cover from Covered Goods and I love it. Full 360 coverage and it's nice and long. A lot of the ones sold in the stores were super short then I saw the covered goods online. Durable and light, lots of color options. Abigail can have a total flailing episode and I'm still covered. It was great at the airport and on the plane.

Haha...not for me. But I'll have to put them on the babies soon....when they aren't mini snot machines. 😂😂

Uh....no Starbucks?! That is terrible!! And yeah, mine has a fairly large grocery section. I wouldn't do all my grocery shopping there, but it's awesome to pick up a few things to get me through the week.

lola I LOVE tropical looking plants that require the bare minimum work -- not much watering. It gets tiring watering all that crap.
Some easy greens/leafy plants: - Banana plants: we haven't gotten any bananas because not long enough season, but tropical look. They grow back and you can't cut the small ones that grow off the stem off and replant. - Fountain grass: comes in different varieties. Some are annual, some aren't. I like the purple. -Coleus -Dusty miller
Some easy flowers: -Portulaca -Impatiens -Lantana -Verbena -Begonias

Thank you!!! I will add these to my research list. I know for sure that we have some Lantana and it does really well here, so I want to add more.
