DS is teething and won't eat. It's going to be in the 50's this week which is like a heat wave here. I can't even begin to tell you how excited we are to get out of this house and play outside!
Taking my kids to the zoo today and having a picnic. A friend is supposed to meet us there, but she's a flake so... We'll see. Hoping the weather cooperates!
Headed to the orthopedist this morning to see if my toddler's fracture has healed enough to remove his cast. The past month of wrangling a 19 month old with a cast has been an adventure and I am so ready for this to be done, lol.
My pooch is unmanageable today again so a big jacket will again be part of my attire. I'm traveling for a training event next week and I've resigned myself to having to pack my spanx. I honestly don't mind looking pregnant when I know it is baby in that space, but knowing how tiny baby is and how much this is just chub left over from the holidays, I'm feeling extra self conscious.
Waiting in the OBs office - going on 30+ minutes. He's running way behind but apparently there were like 26 babies due this month which is double what our small county hospital usually has.
As much as I want to be seen right now and hear the heartbeat, there's a lady in the waiting room that is 41 weeks and a teenager who's already thrown up from the glucose test. So I'm gonna just sit here and Facebook and TCF and enjoy the relative quiet.
We're on Spring Break in Florida & staying with my in laws. It's been magical. My husband has been bringing me breakfast in bed (yay B6 is working so I can eat again!!), he's changing all the diapers and doing all the cooking and cleaning. And I've napped every day so far. We're packing up to head to the beach today! Happy mama right here!

Blarg, work. Everyone wanted to be super chatty this morning when I got here and I just wanted to be left alone. Yesterday I was ragey also. And I forgot to pack bread for my chicken salad. So now lunch is just chicken salad and pretzels.

I'm exhausted today. We had family in town this weekend, we bought a minivan Saturday, and DH got sick in the night Saturday night so I solo parented yesterday while I kept him quarantined downstairs. Thankfully, it appeared to just be a 24 hour bug and he felt good enough to go to work today.
We should get the genetic screening results this week and I'm so anxious.

Baby's heartbeat was seen! It's been a long morning though. Doctor couldn't find it, they sent me over to the hospital for an ultrasound. Cue massive panic. Ultrasound tech found it right away though and I got to see baby (and it's little flickering hearbeat). Not quite the way I pictured starting spring break!

My husband has been out of town since Thursday and will get back late tomorrow night. I am exhausted. DS didn't sleep well last night and ended up in bed with me. And kicked me in the stomach a few times, which was frustrating.
My friend just told me she's expecting and due at the end of October. I'm so excited!

Yesterday, I got the stuff for sausage tortellini soup for tonight. Only now it sounds awful. ☹️ Hopefully it sounds good again this afternoon. Also not putting it past me to just eat the giant loaf of Italian bread that I got to go with it...

I'm feeling gratitude today. My OBs are phenomenal compassionate humans in every sense of the word. I just feel like a hot mess lately...and I don't know, they noticed I was off. Nobody in my life has noticed...it meant so much that they did.

Speaking of sex drive...I'm not sure if I ever mentioned that I was but on pelvic rest at my 10 week u/s for a partial placenta previa. 6-8 weeks from then until they confirmed at the next u/s. My next appointment is the day I turn 15 weeks and I'm debating on asking for a scan then. Pelvic rest is...not fun.

What I have cooking in the crock pot today is making me nauseous. Hopefully I'll still be able to eat it, but my guess is probably not. At least DS and I got out of the house for a bit this afternoon. It's a lovely 50*F day, so we went on a half hour walk. Hooray for fresh air!

Well, my toddler was out of his cast for a few minutes today! Fracture still wasn't fully healed (but was healing well) so they removed the full leg cast and replaced it with a shorter one, below the knee. He's allowed to walk in this one, and hopefully only needs it for 2 weeks.
It was a crap show trying to find a place that would sell an infant cast shoe to protect the cast and give him some grip, so instead I found a hand-me-down Mickey slipper that was just big enough to fit over the cast. It'll work for 2 weeks!

That's great! Happy to hear it's healing well, and that he's able to walk around now.

Really? I had partial placenta previa with DD - found at the anatomy scan, maybe? No action except an extra u/s to confirm it cleared on it's own at 30ish weeks.
I wonder why they consider it a risk and need pelvic rest?
I have no idea, but I'm wishing I had your doctors instead of mine right now. She acted like it was nothing to be concerned about but that any action in the area could cause issues, so maybe it's just an extreme precaution. And maybe because they found it so early on me? I have no idea. That makes me really want to request an u/s at my next appointment though.

DS is home sick and my mom is here watching Moana with him downstairs. I can't even see the freaking TV and I'm still crying at the parts where the grandma's spirit shows up.
