C woke up at 530 to eat which made me workout early this am since I was already up. Now I'm in a good mood. Kids are dropped off at daycare, about to shower and start my work from home day.
After baby slept like crap all weekend, he sttn last time- praise the Lord. He also ate and snuggled in bed with me another hour. Here's hoping this Monday is better than last! (Toilet broke and baby had a fever.) I'm also thankful he's not allergic to amoxicillin and also hasn't gotten the awful yeast rash my son usually gets with it. Babies are so different.

Yesterday, after we got home from my mom's, MH got a call from work basically saying he had to go in today because the specialist on that shift called out. We already had N scheduled to go to day care, but not G. MH emailed the director to see if there was a spot for him (he technically shares a spot in the room with another baby), but she wasn't able to let us know until this morning. My mom is the absolute best; I called her in a panic to see if she could come down to stay with G if there wasn't a spot, and she decided to come down anyway. Of course, day care would have been able to take G, but that's okay.
We had a great weekend. My nephew's party was fun; N ran around with his cousins for the whole afternoon, and I finally got some snuggles with my newest nephew. He and G are 8 weeks apart, and G is only a couple inches and a pound and a half bigger than my nephew. It was so cute watching them together. I hope they will be close as they grow up.
Also FYI my baby had a hair tourniquet like they warn you about. He was crying and we couldn't figure it out and I took his socks off and the hair was wrapped around three toes. The middle toe got the worst. I cut the hair off and it seems to be doing better each day but it was super red and he could have lost his toe if I hadn't have checked.

Monday came way too fast. I'm still not feeling 100% but it's a million times better than last week, so I'm at work. I did not get enough sleep over the weekend at all. I stayed up til midnight Saturday since my whole family was in town (which never happens) and got up early Sunday and had a crazy busy day with no time to rest.
My brother brought his new beau home this past weekend - he has never brought anyone home, and since coming out to us a few months back, I could tell he was still hesitant to introduce us, but I'm so glad he did. He's a very sweet guy, fit right in with our family, and honestly I'm just really happy that my brother seems happy. Overall it was a great weekend and I'm sad it's over, I don't get to see my siblings nearly enough - especially all together like that.

hikingmama222 we are also starting some home projects....UGH everything is so expensive!! We need a new roof too but it's going to have to wait a little bit b/c we have some other things that are taking priority. Luckily it isn't leaking or anything (anymore, we got some stuff fixed) but it's just old and looks crappy and it will start to have more issues in the very near future.
We are supposed to be having a fence put in our backyard this week - Wednesday, if it doesn't rain. I'm SO BEYOND pumped. We live on a corner lot and we have a lot of traffic on two sides of our house and I always feel very uncomfortable with my kids playing outside. This will make things a lot easier and safer for us.

Ours was just replaced a few months ago due to hail damage. Thankfully we just had to pay the deductible (still sucked) but it cost a little less than $16000. Roofs are not cheap.
H was up last night with post-nasal drip. I used Nose Friday about 5000x last night. He was coughing and gagging - poor thing. Basically none of us got a lot of sleep.
Working. Supposed to be anyways. I'm really not feeling it today. I'm going to go the gym at noon. I am seriously dreading the summer. I have no idea if my shorts will fit. I actually weigh less than I did before I got pregnant with both kids but everything has shifted. Hello, hips.
...and I just ate a pop-tart. Both of them. Also, serving sizes...what kind of freak only eats one of the pastries in the package?!
becole- Aww, poor thing! Good catch, mama! DS had a terrible one on NYE and it took about a week or so for his toe to really start looking better.
I had to google "Leap 5."
Lady GaGa added a 2nd show and the presale tickets go on sale tomorrow. However, my friend told me that you need to buy some $60 t-shirt from her website to get the code. Um, what? No thanks! But, I really don't want to wait until they go on sale to the public on Friday because they're always jacked up resale tickets by then. Waaahhh!

Omg right?!?!?! WTF pop tarts! Nobody just eats one.

vavavictoria, Yay for getting your workout out of the way this morning. What a great way to start off you Monday and your week! I haven't been running since Wednesday. Must find time today!
becole, No yeast here yet but I've also been giving him probiotics this time. DS1 always got yeast while on antibiotics so we're on high alert. And I'm always checking DS2's toes. I am sheading so much I don't know how he's avoided it so far. Glad you caught it!

We had a busy weekend. I did our taxes on Saturday and hoping to file them today. It's my first time doing itemized deductions so I wanted to sleep on it and review again with a fresh mind. Saturday night we celebrated my nephew's 5th birthday with a PJ Masks party. I bought masks and capes for the kids (ages 2-5) to wear and they were a hit!
Because they were in town, Sunday we celebrated an early Easter with my sister and her family. My kids had a great time playing with their cousins all weekend.

This sickness has killed my appetite this last week and I am down 4 lbs. Although being sick sucks and I do not enjoy it, I would love if the appetite suppressant part of it stuck around. I can still eat, I'm just not overly hungry at any point so I am probably eating correct portions.

I checked in with my mom. Apparently G gave her dirty looks when she tried to put him in his crib and swing for a nap, so he slept for 2 hours while she held him. She also said he didn't like being interrupted to burp while taking his bottle. Yeah, boy loves to eat LOL. At least it's going well. This is the first time that she has watched him ever, so hopefully he won't scare her off from doing it again sometime.

Homeownership is so expensive. Our fixer upper was even more of a fixer upper than we originally thought when we bought it. We've had to replace the HVAC and the roof among other things.
becole Poor baby toes! I check DS' toes constantly because I shed like a dog and my hair is just everywhere. danizee I love Leap 5! So far. He's working so hard on his sounds. ksyknelvr73, I think I have what you do. Appetite is nil. smallpotato LOL @ the bottle fussing. DS is the same. Glad your mom was there for you.
A new roof is on our 2017 to do list. Buh bye tax return. We had a playdate this am. And I just had them down for a double nap! Got a bunch of pictures from my camera to my computer. Haven't edited any since before Christmas. >:/ It's rainy here today so no afternoon plans.
becole good catch with the hair tourniquet! Poor baby! danizee definitely in leap 5 over here. jcrewgirl I feel you on summer. I'm dreading figuring out my summer wardrobe.
Monday's are crazy for me at work, so quick check in while I pump. We started DD on solids this weekend, and it went so well. She loved the green beans, so we are going to do a few days of those. I want to do a mix of purees and finger foods to get her used to both, so we might try wedges of avocado or sweet potato next (ps, jcrewgirl I got the baby led weaning cookbook. Great recommendation! The recipes sound awesome!) DD has her 6m appt on Friday, and turns 6m on Saturday!! Where did the last half a year go?! Weren't we just all finding out we were pregnant?!
+1 to leap 5. I think we just finished the fussy period part of it though, hang in there ladies, it does pass.
Home renovations are going to kill me. We're going to be going to the bank in the next week or two to see if we can get the money for our expansion. Then, if that moves forward, we need to pack all of our stuff up and put it in storage while the house is worked on. And move in with my parents for 2 months.

Oh, @snuff9861, that's rough while you're pregnant. I am so sorry.
Weather is gorgeous outside here. DH is taking DS to the park after daycare and I'm kinda jealous because I wish I could go with, but I'm still super achy and coughing. This is the first time DH is showing some initiative in taking DS out on his own though! Hope it goes well.
What does leap 5 consist of? I don't keep track of that stuff but there's a chance we're dealing with similar stuff.
My sister has the app with all the wonder week info, I don't have access to it right now. However, I figured it out because she has been impossible to transfer to her crib for the first hour or two at bedtime. And she is normally SUPER easy going but lately she has been very clingy, she doesn't like anyone else holding her and she has to be held of be right next to me on the floor. I remember one of the "symptoms" of this leap was that they won't want to eat a whole lot, which also seems to be the case. She is even more distracted while nursing than usual.
Home repair! My favorite. Blergh. We need new fences. The neighbors do not agree. They have both said they don't want to share the cost of replacing. They both have gaping holes. I'm pissed but not sure what to do.
I took yesterday off so I'm swamped with work. I really wish I could rent an office (or have an office at home).
