It's been a day. Just as I had about had it with the almost-three-year-old (2 more days!), he said, "can I have a snuggle? You are my family." He knows how to work me.
Either way, drinks are happening. Anyone else drinking tonight?

I am actually drinking on Monday, for a change. My parents were here over the weekend, so they left some wine around after dinner last night.
karabear4409, Hehe, that's so sweet, though. If amazingly and age-appropriately "manipulative." (Scare quotes because I don't mean it as a negative. Learning social skills is such a weird path.) Party plans for him?
Sadly, I'm not drinking, but I'm with you in spirit. I'm suffering from the cold my toddler gave me, and said toddler is exploring the wonderful world of tantrums. In the span of 45 minutes, she tantrumed because: I wouldn't let her fish through trash, she didn't want to eat, she wanted to drink out of my water bottle, she wanted to eat the water bottle cap, she wanted to take a bath.

bluefairy5 He chose to have a race car themed party at the park. I usually kill myself with the over-the-top Pinterest bull shit, but I am phoning this one in. A few simple decorations, pizza, cake, a craft and the playground. I am so relieved. I also only invited family and our closest friends. I figure I can get away with that for one more year before I have to invite his entire class.
shytimes I hope you feel better soon! I wish I could say the ridiculous tantrums are short lived...but it's still a daily thing over here. I'm sure DS1 will outgrow them right about the time DS2 starts.

My parents bought him a sand box...any advice? Did anyone put something other than play sand in one? I am worried about snakes and spiders living in it. Or it turning in to a muddy mess with the sand.

Major AW warning. If you don't feel like hearing a lot of whining about relatively minor problems, skip this post.
As some of you know H has been interviewing for jobs nonstop for the past 6 weeks. We have traveled 4 out of the past 5 weekends (once with the babies), plus he has traveled without me 3 times in that period. Two and a half weeks ago our regular nanny had a family emergency and said she would need a little time off. We haven't heard from her since and can't reach her. The next week I discovered that our mother's helper was stealing money. In the meantime, all 4 of us got colds last week. Over the weekend, I got a stomach bug and started vomiting. Not sure if it's the same bug but yesterday both babies and I got diarrhea. G and I still have diarrhea. M kept me up until after midnight and G got up before 5am. Also all the traveling destroyed my milk supply. I don't even have enough to nurse one of them, let alone both, so I am nursing + bottle for each feeding. For two babies.

Home alone feeding the babies and M just had a massive diarrhea out his diaper, out of the high chair, down both his legs, and onto the chair below. Disgusting! Poor kid. :-(
No drinks. I miss wine so much especially prosecco. I can't wait until I'm done with all of this pumping to drink again.
Girl. Get yourself a drink! A drink or two while BF will not hurt!
I keep considering it but since I am so small & weight under 100lbs my tolerance is low on top of not having had a drink in over a year, I worry how it will affect pumping. I hate to dump anything I pump since supply is so low.

Keep in mind, it takes the alcohol usually about 30 minutes to process to your milk. So if you were to have a glass of prosecco *while* pumping, then unless you're pumping every 90 minutes, the next time you need to pump, the amount of alcohol in the milk would be nill, if present at all. Not that I am trying to peer pressure you to drink. But if you really want a glass, it is an option!

peaseblossom55 and bluefairy5 my OB told me the best time for me to have a glass of wine was while BFing since he'd be done nursing before it even got in my system. Who am I to disobey doctor's advice? 🙄

So that I don't feel like such a complainer I'm going to share a good thing that happened today: I found a bag of breastmilk in the freezer that I had no idea was still in there! Only 5oz so it will barely make a dent, but hey, every bit counts!
