Good morning. Wfh today per usual. I plan to get my nails done on my lunch break and then hit the gym when I'm finished working. So I guess this is a self-care day.
Morning ladies! V and I have matching sinus infections and antibiotics to take. H has a man cold. We have never all been sick like this at the same time. Must be new germs in our new town?
Also, I'm having trouble with V sneaking out of his room at night and getting up to (hilarious) hijinks. He's so quiet we don't always know right away. Is anyone else facing this problem/have a solution?

Morning. Antibiotics worked quick and Millie is back to normal so off to school she goes! I'm just working and picking up the house. Normal day here. Wooohoo!
Sitting here sobbing watching the video my cousin made celebrating the one-year anniversary of their daughter's adoption from China. Glad I didn't have eye make-up on yet! We get to meet her at a family reunion in May and I'm so excited...plus she is the same age as our N13 kids so I'm hoping they'll entertain each other
Speaking of BC...last night lying in bed I felt phantom kicks and it made me cry thinking I'll never experience real ones again (heeeey, hormones). I said something to DH and he was like, well, we can talk about it. Whaaaaaat, Mr. 2-is-it?! He is so smitten with C and she's been so easy that I think he is actually entertaining the idea, or willing to entertain it. 😳so now idk.

Door knob lock on the inside, like the kind that clips over the knob.
My medela freestyle keeps 'lisping' for lack of a better word, like air is being sucked to the wrong place? Ideas?
ETA I'd buy spare parts, but they are so expensive over here (23 euro for 1 extra connector...).
I had an issue at one point that I didn't get the back plates on correctly so I wasn't getting good suction. If I pressed on the back it would fix the problem (I reassembled before the next pump session). You could also call Medela, I've heard they have amazing customer service.
Morning. H is at preschool, the other kids and I are hanging at home. I need to do some cleaning/picking up. I have a work meeting this evening, DH won't be home in time for me to leave so MIL will come over till he gets home. And I don't want to have stuff piled all over the island anymore.

Do it! J is not easy, still want a third 😜. We both come from a family off three, so I guess in my mind this is normal 🤔.
ETA and yes the the phantom kicks, sooo weird!
I love the idea of 3, but I guess DH has been so set on 2 from the get-go that I never really allowed myself to consider it. My parents are both from families of 3 and I like the dynamic. Something to think about, anyway. If we do, I definitely don't think it will be any time soon.

I have this problem every week. I clean it off and then two days later there's stuff all over it again.
Part of my problem is that all of our stuff is still in the garage until the basement is finished and I have things that I need to put away but I don't want to go digging for the totes, like burp cloths and pump parts. Most of the other stuff is paperwork that needs to be dealt with, blech.
Morning! I just brewed a cup of coffee at the office and sat back down at my desk. I was about to get up to go get the coffee and I realized my (empty) coffee cup sitting next to me. Yep, I brewed 12oz with no cup underneath. Luckily the drip tray caught it all so it wasn't a huge mess. I might be losing my mind.
H slept 13 hours last night with one wakeup at 4:30. He woke up happy and ate breakfast, so maybe he finally kicked whatever bug he had? But of course, N said her tummy hurt at breakfast, so I hope she's not getting it now.

I'm so tired! I need to remember this at 9:30-11 when I'm up messing around on my phone rather than sleeping. uuuuuuuugh
Cadence was up and chipper this morning, ready for school. So off she went. Hopefully, she makes it through the day without any accidents. I told her no farting (just in case).

Millie just had a 30 minute tantrum bc she was on FaceTime with my parents and was being crabby. They don't like to talk to her when she's like that (who can blame them). She is OBSESSED about being the one who pushes the button to hang up but she was so crabby that she didn't want to push it so my mom hung up. Cue freak out. 30 minutes of screaming and crying. Finally I gave in and let her call them back to hang up. I hate giving in to her but I was desperate. She was totally fine after 🙄 I'm now alone in my house and it's amazing.

I use this too but I've only ever had to shut the door to keep her in, one time. I think the mere presence of the door knob cover keeps B in line!
mwhipple77 I'm kicking the idea around of having my tubes tied. I'd really rather Pete get a vasectomy, but he totally shuts down any conversation about it.
I could maybe have a third, but I'd prefer to adopt. I don't think I want to be pregnant again. Pete has zero interest in adopting.
calishove I lock the kid in. I reversed the door knob to do it because he figured out a cover pretty fast. But he is a daredevil type kid so a cover probably works for both.
We have multiple layers of security because he would be out running the streets if free. right now he would have to pick a lock in his room, and three locks to get outside the front door. Varying types and heights. We also had a baby gate at the top of the stairs but he mastered that in a weekend. I also keep the garage locked with two locks and the basement with one. That kid would love to get his hands on the power tools and the furnace controls. Two locks on the slider as well. It's Fort Knox in my house.
This is us. Though my C has now figured out how to pick the lock on his bedroom door. Like Wedding, the things we have had to do to keep him in the house are a little nuts.
Work has been crazy as usual, and TCF is massively acting up for me today. It's taken me maybe 1/2 a dozen times to post this. Grrr.
Anyhow Chase woke up around 3 this morning and we gave him more Motrin since he'd had shots. He actually calmed down immediately so maybe forcing him to settle himself lately is working? We can hope.
Colin woke up still pretty motivated about the potty. He's even back to using it in the morning before school. He's not really having accidents or anything, he's just been relying on holding it excessively. So I'm hoping this is really progress and not just a temporary thing. FX.
I stopped at daycare over lunch to drop off diapers and they said H was having a rough day. He saw me at the door and started crying so I went in and snuggled him a bit and nursed him. He kept pointing at the door and waving byebye thinking he could come with me. I left a blanket there for him to snuggle with, but it was so hard to leave. His favorite teacher will be there shortly so hopefully he'll perk up and I asked her to let me know how he is in an hour and I can go get him if he's not any better.

Hi!
klongoria11 tired twins today. I, too, was up at 1130 last night on my phone... catching up here because I didn't have a chance to check in all day.
cagoldi I'm with you on not wanting to be pregnant again, but also on the fence about ever having a third. I 98% sure I'm done, but if in 4-5 years I think I could handle a third, I would want to adopt. I'm 100% sure I don't want to be pregnant again. I could probably talk MH into adoption.

This is us too, V has actually figured out how to remove a door by the hinges, by himself, with his bare hands.
N threw up before I got there. We're home now with a bucket and towels. And of course h was in a super good mood and didn't want to leave when I got there. What's up with these kids?

Hi from the carpool pickup line. I have nothing today. Ran at the gym and then my SIL met me for a yoga class. I really like her, and I'm bummed they are going to be moving again pretty soon. It looks like my brother may have a job offer in Virginia. Day 2 of my juice cleanse and my period started. I want to hurt someone and eat chocolate and drink wine and maybe cry... all at once.
