waitwhat I've been wondering if C rubbing the back of his head is a baby thing or if his head was itchy lol. He has a patch of craddle cap that is always flaky no matter what I do and I worry that it bothers him.

I think possibly both? B did the same thing when he would suck his thumb. I wonder if they scratched it and then realized t was soothing so they continue to do it? J has been doing it lately. But instead of scratching he's actually caressing haha
Haha well I mean I play with my hair all day long so I totally get that.
goldenlove3 Have you tried olive oil or coconut oil? N13 was talking about some special shampoos they've used. I can get some recs if you need some.
I did coconut oil last week and it did about the same thing that everything else does. It goes away when I rub it off but leaves a red bumpy area and then the flakes come back. I would love recommendations! I have just been using the Aveeno Soothing Relief Creamy Wash on his head the past couple baths.
ETA: I have been noticing more rough patches on his arms and legs and butt. That's why I worry that he's itchy since he squirms so much when he's naked.

goldenlove3 we did coconut oil 15 minutes beforehand then the mustela shampoo with the special brush comb thing every night and within a week it was cleared. We were already doing nightly oatmeal soaks when her eczema was bad or else I'm not sure we would have done it so often and whether or not it would have cleared so quickly. Once we got it 100% gone it hasn't been back.
danib My understanding is that height usually is generally proportional to weight. Not sure about head. Lillian's dr was always happy to see her head percentiles were much higher (30-50% vs her 5-10% weight/height). But, if he looks good, meeting milestones, happy, etc I wouldn't worry. He's been sick, right? So that could have slowed his growth down and you maybe caught him right before a growth spurt. Maybe measure again in a week if you're worried.

Weight: 18 lbs 6 oz (94th %)
Height: 26.3 inches (89th %)
Head: didn't try to measure
Clothing: depending on brand and even article of clothing within the brand 3-6, 6-9, 6-12. My organization method has gone to crap.
Diaper size: 3
Likes this month: owl winkel, mr. whoozit, singing, Mom and Dad, half empty plastic bottles, the dachshunds, eating anything in her high chair, airplane, smiling, and laughing
Dislikes: being in the car seat for more than 45 minutes, having to wait once she has decided that she wants something
Q/C: nope!
AW: this girl has just become the happiest and most fun little ball of sass I could ask for. To say I'm obsessed with her is a huge understatement.

He turned 5 months on the 31st so this info is all over the place. Our official appointment is on the 10th so I'll update again.
Weight (percentile): 17lbs 13oz at home yesterday
Height (percentile): somewhere around 25.5
Head (percentile): I attempted to measure at home and it is still around 17in.
Clothing Size: Mostly 9 but still some 6 month.
Diaper Size: 3
Likes this month: Talking with his mouth closed, play screaming, FOOD, being naked, daddy, the dog.
Dislikes this month: Putting clothes on, waiting for food (bottle or the next spoon), napping.
Questions/Concerns: His doctor wants us coming in monthly for head circumference checks. She said that they sometimes see development delays with the fluid seen in his US, but typically it's NBD. They just want to check him monthly to make sure it doesn't outgrow the rest of his body. No mention of the autism link but I might mention it at our next appt on Monday. I'm still not really worried about it though since his development seems to be going fine.
What's his favorite food been so far? Carrots are the clear winner in this house.
Yea that's probably C's too but mostly because I made so much that he's gotten it the most. He liked sweet potatoes too. I actually tried banana yesterday and he was not interested. I'm thinking maybe the stuff I made didn't thaw very well because it looked pretty brown. I'll try it fresh next time. I need to go to the grocery store soon and get some more stuff to try!

Weight (percentile): ~13 lbs
Height (percentile): 25"
Head (percentile): 16 1/3"
Clothing Size: mostly 3-6m
Diaper Size: 2
Likes this month: Her swing, moving about, tickling, blowing raspberries, her sister, oatmeal, snuggles, her reflection, mommy, nursing, chewing on things, her soft toys
Dislikes this month: rolling onto tummy when sleeping, the wind, being cold, loud noises, not being able to see mommy, strangers
So late with this but need to have a record for those baby books I'll someday do (lol, yeah right)
ALEC Weight (percentile): Est 17lb 11oz Height (percentile): 25.5 in Head (percentile): No update, was 42.4 cm at 4 months Clothing Size: 9 months Diaper Size: 2 Likes/Dislikes this month: Likes trying to crawl, doing 360*s (turning like a spin dial) while on his tummy, being carried in the Baby Bjorn outside for walks or in the store, laughing, being tickled by "the claw" (Liar Liar reference), the bouncer, FOOD! Carrots, green beans, banana, watermelon (we let him suck for a second), when mommy sings - boy loves music!
Dislikes feeling hungry, getting frustrated at toys, being tired (just wants to shut down at that minute).
Development milestones: This close to crawling - he prefers being on his tummy at this point and I would guess within days/week of taking his first official crawl. He is a fantastic eater although we are just doing purées at the moment but he can easily bring small things from a tray in front of him up to and into his mouth with precision. Loves to try to talk! Puts his pacifier in and out of his mouth. Sits unassisted for a few seconds and then leans forward onto his tummy.
Questions/Concerns/AWs:
ADELINE Weight (percentile): Est 12 lbs, 11 oz Height (percentile): 24.5 inches Head (percentile): No update, was 39 cm (remeasure 42 cm) at 4 months Clothing Size: 3 months short sleeve onesies or dresses and most pants. 6 months long sleeve onesies, one piece sleep and play type outfits, and some pants. Diaper Size: 1 Likes/Dislikes this month: Likes mommy holding her, bath time, smiling and "talking", walks and seeing everything around her, loves stimulation - people, things in the store, sounds, textures, LOVES the dog. Mommys wake up song, she loves it! Loves grandma!! Loves food but much more interested in what mommy has than her own stuff (how does she know?!). Dislikes having to sit/lay in a reclined position (minus sleep) and will use her stomach to get onto her elbows and stay that way until you grab her, trying to go to sleep, being held by daddy's mom (I am not imagining this unfortunately, I do hope this changes as she gets older)
Development milestones: Consistently trying to intercept food, grab things off counter/aisle/etc, eats well. Gets frustrated on her tummy and as she tries to crawl she grunts and pushes forward just a hair.
Yeah I'm bumping this from page 2. D turned 5 months on the 18th but I finally remembered I wanted to update this.
Weight (percentile): 16 lb 13 oz (75th)
Height (percentile): 27" (97th)
Head (percentile): don't know
Clothing Size: 9, 9-12, or 12 months.
Diaper Size: 3
Likes this month: grabbing anything in her arms' length, grabbing her feet and rolling to the side, laughing at her brother, her sit-me-up seat, just plain old sitting up on her own (eek!), screeching/shout "talking," books, anything crinkly
Dislikes this month: napping when we're out (still), sleeping through the slightest noise, maybe sleeping in general?
Questions/Concerns: well, we are STILL in the swaddle at night. But she is getting better at tummy sleeping during her naps so I am hopeful that this is our month.
