So a million years ago I started a wellness thread, and then I totally dropped the ball because I was busy and also embarrassed that I hadn't met any of my goals.
But now it's becoming clear to me that I am not healthy and there's too much stress on my mind and body and I need to make a change. So I'm bringing it back!
Is there a day of the week people would prefer so you don't get inundated with too many check-ins at once?
If you'd like to join, please post your wellness goals!
QOTW: Did you play any sports in high school or college?

I should probably join in here! I'd really like to lose about 20 lbs but I'd settle for losing a little this year and making the most of my time with the baby. When I was really fit and running all the time it just seemed like everything had to revolve around my schedule, it can't be that way anymore
I'm walking right now and doing core exercises. Would really like to be working on running (slowly, my knees started killing me last time I tried and was making good progress) and eventually running about 3-4 miles 3-4x per week.
I'd like to be here also ... I think it's about way less time to workout and also eating because I'm exhausted. Would be nice to be accountable or at least hang out with others in this group.
and ps Hai @winnifred!
ETA: QOTW - LOL, no sports for me. I swam and played lacrosse in high school, but that was more of a sportsmanship thing than me actually contributing to our win/loss.

I'll join. I seriously need to make some changes. I think overall Id like to loose 30lbs. I was not kind to myself the year of fertility treatment and gained a lot the. I'd like to loose most of that before we go back for an FET. My first goal probably needs to be to stop getting coffee and a sandwich in the morning...
QOTW: not at all sporty over here. I did choir and musicals.
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)
I'm in the same boat as remylove1011...those two years of IF treatments were not kind to me. I need to lose 10 more pounds of pregnancy weight, but pre pregnancy I wanted to lose at least 20 pounds, so 30 for me! Not sure how I'll do that with a baby...
Need to get to the gym 3-4 times a week to start.
QOTW- I played soccer and was a dancer (ballet, tap, jazz).

Oh yes! I need this in my life. I gained so much weight dealing with IF and then more than average with pregnancy. Recovery was tough on me as well. But I've been working at it since the new year and so far down almost 20lbs.
Short term goal: lose about 10lbs to get to pre-pregnancy weight. Long term goal: lose 30lbs and tone things back up again.

I need to eat better and start some exercise more often, even if it's just walks with E when I get home from work. I hope with going back to work next week it will help move my goal along. I think it will on the eating healthy front at least since I pack my lunch. QOTW: I was a cheerleader in high school. I was also dancing about 5 days a week too. Ballet, pointe, tap, jazz etc.

I would love to be part of this check in. I lost a lot of weight before we did IVF but I gained quite a bit back in pregnancy and was a ways off from my lowest. I have been doing low carb since January and have lost about 15 pounds.
I am also training to run a marathon this summer. I am really enjoying it so far and my longest run has been about 10 miles.
I'd like to join. I definitely gained weight with IVF last time. This time I'd like to stay healthier, eat better, workout and be kind to myself.
QOTW: I swam competitively most of my life, quit before college though due to burnout. Also did distance running. I got back into competing at the half marathon distance about 5 years ago but let that go when all the cycling/meds started.
Thank you for this check-in - I really need it too! I am really trying to focus on health and weight loss for the next couple months. I am 3 mo PP and still up about 18 lbs from my pre-IF treatment weight, and I've got a pretty bad diastasis recti tummy that makes me look 5 months pregnant. I have that thing going on where none of my clothes fit - the maternity ones are too big, and the pre-pregnancy ones are too small, and I can't really afford to go buy new clothes. So I walk around wearing maternity jeans that get baggy in the butt after a little while. Super sexy.
I'm doing this thing called the Mutu system which is supposed to help the ab separation issue. I just started. I am also doing Weight Watchers and I totally suck at staying under my points.
QOTW: ha, no sports for me. I was an incredibly uncoordinated/unathletic kid. My dad made me play softball one year in grade school and I was the one they always stuck out in right field
emilie I had bad diastasis recti too. For most people it heals on its own. I still have a tiny separation right under my belly button but it is way better than it was. Just make sure you know what exercises not to do because some ab work (crunches, etc) should be avoided.

I would love to be a part of this check-in!
I'm working towards weight loss and overall fitness, but I'm a little less focused on the number. My gym has In Body testing, so they can track your fat loss/muscle gain/weight. My goal is just to increase lean muscle mass and decrease fat. I've been going 5-6 days a week since Thanksgiving and the last time I checked in, I had gained 4lbs of muscle and lost 8lbs of fat. I'll take it. I'll probably have them run the test again in May. Otherwise, I'm just focused on little improvements--lifting heavier weight, running faster sprints, getting my feet closer to the wall on the TRX. I also just started running home from the gym (I'm a block away). I would like to eventually increase my run home until it's something of substance.
QOTW: I rode horses in high school and college. I was just ok at it, but I loved it very much and worked my ass off. I was actually still heavily involved until I got pregnant. I miss it fiercely. luvboston, That's awesome My brain never worked fast enough to successfully do jumpers! I spent my time in the hunter ring. Hoping to someday get back to it. I would love to get a sweet packer type to cart my ass around the Adult Amateurs someday! (Or, more realistically, the 2'6 Pre-Adults!)
shananagins I want a packer as well, but I turned in my jumping saddle for dressage and would like to be able to prance around the dressage ring and also be able to trail ride.

Soooo I'm one of those ladies that keeps weight on while breastfeeding boo... so I'm still not at pre pregnancy weight and have about 20lbs to lose. Honestly I'm not so concerned with my looks but more concerned about getting healthy for a potential FET this December. I want to start an anti inflammatory diet 3 months prior to my FET, but for now I want to start small and walk my 30lb 8 month old around the clock 4 x a week!
Qotw. I played field hockey and lacrosse and hated both!
