Things are going good over here! Just KOKO.. she's 8.5 months now. I got either food poisoning or the stomach bug 2 days ago which sucked and I had to nurse her while laying on the floor feeling nauseous.
C is a boobaholic. She was interested in trying solids for almost 2 full months. And now suddenly ...meh about it. She will play a little with it, smush it in her hand, throw spoon on ground, throw pieces of food on ground, bang spoon on tray, bang food on tray, clap because she's proud of herself haha. Doesn't seem that matter what I give her (big pieces or food on a spoon). She loves to put stuff in her mouth like books etc. but doesn't seem to get it with food lol. I have always handed her the spoon and let her try to feed herself because my mom who is a nutrition counselor said forcing a child to eat things they don't want to causes food problems later on in life (and in general a negative association with the whole experience). So I offer and if she just plays..oh well. I'll try again another time. She's rejecting her bottles of breastmilk at DC too (only drinking 1-3oz of the 4). But when she's got the boob she will chug. I think she just likes to hold out for the boob.
My supply is fortunately still really good but she still feeds every 3-4 hours day and night (I haven't sleep trained or night wean) and she's mostly rejecting solids so that's probably why.
QOTW: our ped is a NP who is also a LC and is very pro bf and was sooooo helpful! I feel very fortunate for all the hospital LC support too.
