Morning! It's rainy this morning and I'd like to go back to bed. C's rolling like a mad man and wakes up 3,265 times a night.
Question for those of you that are pumping at work. How many oz does your LO eat at daycare? C is averaging 15-16 oz over 9.5 hours. I typically only pump 12-13 (3 pumps). I was really hoping to make it to 6 months on BM only but we might have to supplement.

H has a conference two hours away and we thought this might be a good opportunity to attempt a little trip with M. I was super excited until today. Now it just seems like I have a million things to get ready and not enough time. I'm also stressed about the car seat thing because the singular time she was in her car seat longer than 30 minutes it didn't go over too well. Andplusalso the food thing. Isn't he best part of going away all the naughty stuff you can eat? Boo MSPI.
I'm still looking forward to a weekend without cleaning or big dogs. FX H is willing to sneak out a few times so that we can wander around and spend time together.
aggiebug you are a good friend! sophiegrace enjoy the weekend away! It's always fun to get away and explore a new city!
I'm looking for chairs for my kitchen island. I have no clue what I want. No idea on what color to get or what material, like plain wood? Fabric? I need an interior decorator bad. I don't have an eye for this kind of thing.
ME TOO!!!!! I need so much help. Where is LizB.
Like do I make them match the rest of the house (we have an open concept) or do I add some color since the rest of the house is greyish/ivory/tan/black ?
kleigh I think they should blend with the rest of your home (I.e. If everything else is neutral I wouldn't invest in bright green chairs), but if you wanted fabric, for ex, you could definitely do something with a small print or design to give you some texture, hide wear, etc.
Y'all should start a thread with pics and let us shop for you.
Morning! Just got back from preschool drop-off and got to eat my MickeyD's breakfast in peace while C naps. I need to do laundry or something, or maybe go purge some more stuff. Time to be ruthless.
ETA: posting this here bc I've gotta tell *somebody*...my BFF from college is pregnant. She's due in October and it's a boy I'm so excited for them, she and her H are terrific and will be such wonderful parents.
That sounds miserable danib. I hope your cough clears out soon!
Enjoy your weekend away sophiegrace! I know what you mean about all the prep, I usually have those, "remind me WHY we're doing this" thoughts before our trips, but once you get away it'll be good. Hopefully 😉
waitwhat Lilah also decided to wake up a ton last night. 4 times as well. She's been really hungry lately, too. Growth spurt? Also, I remodeled and decorated my dad's house to sell and am in the process of decorating my mom's new house. So, I am also happy to help with that kind of thing, too! I know LizInFL is great at this stuff, but thought I'd throw it out there.
Oh man danib. I am so sorry to hear you're still sick!
aggiebug You are a great friend. And my baby is being clingy and needy lately, too. She usually sleeps at least 3 or 4 hours in her pnp before I bring her in bed. Not last night. No. She needed to be right next to me all night. Lillian is also being needy and asked me to put Lilah in the swing because she needed snuggles.
Good luck with the trip sophiegrace! Hopefully she'll do well in the car. I was pleasantly surprised with how Lilah did driving to Galveston which is about 4 hrs away. And have fun!

YES!!!!!!
Also more details! Counter or bar height? Stool or chair? With a back or without? Swivel or stationary?
I currently have leather bar height swivel barstools with a back. We plan on switching them out for stationary barstools with a back in a nonslippery fabric when M starts attempting to climb up them or wanting to sit up there. The last thing I want is her to monkey climb herself up there and slip causing the damn thing to swing around and crack her head off the granite.

This is me with every plan I make these days. It all sounds so fun in theory, going out to places or seeing new things, but when it comes time to actually do these things I wonder what I was thinking. Putting on pants these days seems like a lot. Getting kids out of the house is more work than I'm up for.

I think I'm in 4 month sleep regression hell. Bedtime was at 8pm and I saw every hour on the clock from 8-4. Oh, and MH has basketball tonight, it's play offs so he won't be home until well after bedtime. I'll take all the hair pats now, please and thank you.

L takes three 4oz bottles and is at dc from 6:30-4:30. We just bumped it up a few weeks ago when she was taking only 2.5oz bottles. How's your freezer stash?
Where do I find mommy and me matching outfits? Asking for a friend😬
OMG! Yes!!! Please do share if you find anything. I'm making packing wayyy to difficult because I want to coordinate with M this weekend. If that's wrong I don't want to be right! 😝
That mean six year old is back outside the school today. He's playing with other kids, seems to have just decided not to be nice to W. Biting my tongue and just trying to stay out of it. W seems unphased. He's running and jumping in "slow motion." lol
Can you throw things at him & blame it on another kid?
kidding.
sort of.
Walk over to them and accidentally trip him as he goes by....
In other news, W says he wants to be a police man when he grows up because he wants to help people. I don't care what he wants to be, but I hope he always wants to be a helper.
You should be really really proud of yourself right about now. That's a huge parenting win! I hope he always wants to be a helper too, we need more of those in the world.

Also, is it weird that I haven't introduced myself to my cube mates? We're in condensed cubes so it feels awkward the longer I go. I just don't feel like talking to them.

Two worst parenting fears:
1) raising jerks 2) my kids choosing to marry idiots/jerks
Ugh.
I guess I can't trip that kid...while W is watching.
I hear that. In the end I just want M to be happy and to not be an asshole. I feel like that's a rarity these days.

I find it more strange that they haven't said hi to you at all. You're obviously stressed, one would think they would want to lighten the mood for you? I'm torn between seeing how long you can go without introductions and just ripping the bandaid off and saying oh uh hey I'm goldenlove. Social interactions are not my strong point.

They are hardly even at their desks and I have no idea what department they're in. They don't seem like the socializing type though. I technically should not even be in one of these condensed cubes as a direct employee who has been here for almost 6 years but I think I got screwed out of a real desk because I was gone. HONESTLY it doesn't bother me too much but just adds to the feeling unappreciated pile. Oh and my boss walks down my aisle to get to the printer so that's fun.
