euphony - I just noticed in this thread that you're in this BMB! Hiiiiiiiiiii!!!!
(JIC you have forgotten about S15 since the move to FBland, we were in there together!)
Of course I remember you! I just figured you wouldn't remember me, as I was a less prominent poster, and I never made the leap to FB. But I would never forget anyone from S15, especially not the Canadians.
I was the Harrison 'Harry' Balzak that gave me away, wasn't it? That has been a name battle that never goes away in my house.
It is always nice to have a familiar face. I secretly hoped we would have a bunch of S15ers in here because I miss people, but hate FB.
Of course I remember you!!!! Im the only S15er to wind up with a S17 from our FB group, but there's quite a few in O17! You should just download the Facebook groups app and then join our group without having to have full Facebook, that's what a lot ladies have done. We still all talk daily, but I do miss the TCF format.

I did not know you could just have a FB group app instead of the entire FB app. That's what I need to do.

Some of the girls in my BMB FB group discovered it because they were sick of FB but wanted to keep being a part of our group. Seriously the best app ever. You see only the groups you're in without the rest of Facebook.

We added one more name to our list today after talking to DHs grandma...Brandt was a family name on her side, and we both really like the name. I love the idea of having a name with some family history but that is still different.

laurenash323, I like Brandt. I have never seen that name. I could see that name being on my boy list for sure. I also like having names with family history. I wanted to give this baby my grandmother's name but my mom has been making a huge deal over it. She gets mad because no one wants to name a child after her. She is so selfish when it comes to certain things.

That is neat about O17. I think I am likely to end up with an October baby. I bake 'em extra.
I think my main problem is I don't want it connecting to my actual profile. I keep FB for the messenger app. It is how a lot of friends and family keep in touch with me. I just don't think I will ever feel comfortable with being an actual name and face to people I have only met online. As welcoming as everyone is, I feel like my unwillingness to share pictures and details kept me at a distance, and I think FB would only amplify that for me. I could see those that were more open with each other gravitating together, and while I was sad not to be part of it, I recognized why things work out that way.
Can we bring this back? With many knowing baby's sex names should be easier to think of!
I'm having a hard time thinking of boy names! I was totally set with Delaney for a girl to stick with the ABCD theme but I don't think we can stick with it because I don't like any boy names starting with D. We don't do traditional, biblical, or common names. Also can't end with en/in/on sound so it isn't similar to DS1. This is way harder the second time around!

I have no idea what to name this baby. Our other kids are biblical names and actually both start with vowels. So now I'm debating if I want to keep the vowel which was totally just a coincendence. DH says I like the weird biblical names, which I don't think the ones I like are that weird....ugh..names....

Would you name your child after your favorite flower?
As long as it isn't totally obscure like a rhododendron, I think some flower names can be cute. Lily for instance works perfectly well as a flower and a name.

TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
My (not H approved) list in no particular order- with SSA 2015 top 100 rank if applicable: Reed/Reid, Beau, Blake (96), Jace (75), Brock, and Sawyer
For being Midwest, I seem to like southern/country names!
I love sawyer...a good friend has a son with that name and it doesn't go with our last name or it'd be on my list! Reed, Blake, and Jace are super cute too if the work with your last name. (I love southern and slightly different names too, MH is not as enamored...I'm shocked I got him to agree to the "weird" names he did...they're not weird, but his first suggestions were John and David, so, yeah...)

We're having a super hard time with names. We have a list of girl names but nothing that's really standing out all that much. Of course I keep thinking of boy names that I really like.
How do people feel about siblings with the same first initial? This wouldn't be intentional matching, but one of our front running girl names starts with the same letter at DS's name and I'm starting to like it more and more. If it makes a difference, we hope to have a third kid and would definitely avoid that initial for #3.

I am not a fan of Duggar style naming because it gets weird after the first 2 or 3 to me, but don't see anything wrong with having kids with the same first initial in general. My sister and I have all our initials matching, sadly, which meant we had to use numbers when initialling things. My mother claimed it was accidental, but my aunt told me it was not. I recommend against that because that really annoyed me growing up being forever #2. I prefer aliterative to rhyming at any rate.
