sterl724 j does the same thing, except she stays up the whole time til her next feeding. Last night, she ate at 8 pm, and stayed awake til 11:30 pm! I put her down in her pack and play, in our room, but she stayed awake. I also need to figure it out.
mikaela20 we had the same exact issue. No advice, just hugs. Actually, I started putting her up there during the day when she was super tired. I think she got a little more used to laying on her back. With that being said, the real game changer was our pediatrician said we could swaddle her with one arm out even though she can roll over onto her side. I assume you are already swaddling though?
So many hugs @priss08. You've been dealing with alot. I hope you H recovers well.
Facebook knows my life. They keep adding sleep training and articles on what parents do to ruin sleep routines to my feed. So are all these sleep routines for after the newborn phase? Because my baby just eats and sleeps and when he is awake he is fussy from his reflux or he is hungry.
I started a sleep routine with DS at 3 months or so. Started sleep training at 4 or so.
FFFC? I didn't like being a mother till I started sleep training my son. So hang in there, i know it's though.
glb30 he started hating being swaddled early on. Even the second day in the hospital he would squirm his arms out or scream if he couldn't get them out. Maybe I will try again with his arms out to see if that helps.

Same here. I swaddle with her hands near her face maybe it helps maybe it doesn't. It takes like 1920ei48289w9w010 years to get her to settle down.

Guys it gets better. H said he didn't know what time I wanted to leave and I explained that I sent him a text with that info. He looked through our convo and his excuse: "when you send me a bunch right in a row I don't see them all so I missed it"
I sent him 2. The text with the time was the 1st one. I'm proud that I was able to laugh that one off. I could write a book on the things he's done this week because it's been incredible.

mikaela20 DD really likes arms out swaddle - I use the Swaddle me things and just have the wrap start under her armpits. The Halo wearable blankets with swaddle wraps are great for this too.
So, for now DD is asleep. I feel bad about how much I'm relying on DVD's to distract DS, but if DD is like DS she'll outgrow this phase just around summer time. Then we can spend more time outside and stuff.
We started a bedtime routine this week (8 weeks old). After DD1 goes to bed (around 7:30), babies have diaper changes, pajamas and sleep sacks. Try and feed and then put down in dark or dim room. Sometimes rocking is involved. I try and feed again (sometimes dream feed sometimes awake) around 10:30-11pm. Prior to this we were holding them while watching tv etc from 8pm-10pm. They seem to be liking the dark room/bed time routine

This is our routine as well. I'm crossing evening that eventually well be able to keep them on the same bedtime.
@priss08 we also do a lot of tv. Weather isn't great yet and I'm avoiding the world until cold and flu season is over. DD1 and I were both sick this week.
Well I'm 2.5-3cm and 80% effaced. Scheduled to get induced next Friday but with how low baby's head is, the Dr said she bets I'll either be in recovery or already home with a baby by then. Off and on contractions this morning so more laps at target to see if things keep/get moving. Come on baby!
kaits8 woo! Good news! I don't think you'll make it to induction either
I had my first cervical check today at 39w6d, I'm 2cm but not really effaced yet. Baby's head is super low. Midwife said that I can schedule an induction for next week or wait it out and have another appointment (with NST and U/S) to monitor next week and I chose to wait it out before scheduling an induction. My doc isn't in the office next Friday when I'll be closer to 41 weeks, so they just scheduled me for a regular check up with him on Wednesday and he can decide what our next step is.

And do they get out down right into their cribs?
Eta just saw your post about getting them into their cribs. I really want to get him to his crib soon. Hopefully I can start a routine in a couple of weeks then.
I should add. I had an appt scheduled for today but they said i could push it back. I had checks with dd1 but they didn't tell me anything and just made me anxious. I feel better not really knowing...although I'm guessing they will check Monday.

Yeah I haven't had any checks until now at basically 40 weeks. The midwife did say it doesn't mean much other than how induction would go if we induced TODAY (not that that was offered or planned). She said if it were her she'd wait it out too. Hoping you, me and kaits8 have some babies soon!

Ass update: it's a pilonidal cyst. I'm not shocked. This is my 3rd one. Dr thinks it's infected but it's really early. Too early to drain even. I'm on antibiotics and doing all the things to prevent a yeast infection and thrush.
We stopped by the bf'ing support group so I could weigh dd and ask about thrush prevention. DD is over 7lbs now! All of the sitting on my sore ass is worth it I suppose.
