It's April; my son turns 2 this month! I can't believe how grown he is. *cries a little*
For you ladies that remain, the birth stone of April is a diamond! It pairs super well with all the other stones so if you are trying to get mother's jewelry of any kind, you can't go wrong lol
My son turns three this month! +you're right. A diamond and aquamarine will look beautiful together.
It's mh birthday and i didn't really plan anything. I feel bad. We are going to try to go out to dinner but I'm feeling kind of crappy. I'm gonna try to get it together though.

I think you get a pass since you're about 13 months pregnant.
kristhegirl i know and he says a burrito is perfectly fine. He has just been so great I'm gonna try. His 30th last year was spent at my bffs wedding and this year he has to deal with a grouchy 2 year old and grouchy me.
Oh and random rant about my H, he does this thing where he offers to go pick up food, we decide where he should go and I let him know what I want then right before he leaves he mentions the 5 other errands he's going to do first. Dude, you should've mentioned that before I got really excited for my food. Now I'm awkwardly trying to decide if I should have a snack waiting for him to get home or just be starving and risk him taking forever
This would annoy me. I'm asking for food now because I'm hungry not because I want it in an hour or two when you're finished your errands.
I feel crappy today and on the verge of tears. DW asked what was wrong and I said probably hormones and her response: isn't it late for that? Um seriously it's been less than two weeks!! I then burst into tears and she got me Starbucks I still feel like crying but at least I have good coffee
I found a used medela pump for 1/3rd of the retail price. I have my own attachments since I'm renting the Symphony one right now. Is it worth getting used? Would the motor in the pump deteriorate over time? They used it for 4 months.
We have a first birthday party this afternoon then we're suppose to have a babysitter come so my h and I can go to a habitat for humanity benefit but I'm getting really nervous about leaving A for the first time. I'm kind of considering just sending my H and staying home with the baby and sushi takeout instead. And plus also, I don't think I have the energy to try and get dressed up tonight
How does the BFing, pumping work when you go out? I feel like I'm tied to my pumping schedule. I'm thinking it would be similar for a breastfeeding schedule?
I'm trying to get a pump that is more portable to try and get some of my freedom back. As in I can go do some errands and pump in the car or in a breastfeeding lounge if I can find one.

I have a Medela pump that I used for a couple of weeks and have no plans to use again. It's basically brand new - I was mostly pumping at the hospital during that time. I think it's a PIS. If you want it I would be happy to mail it out. PM me.

When breastfeeding, I try and go out right after a feed. DS is usually sleepy and will just chill/sleep while out. If I need to feed, I'm fairly comfortable feeding anywhere with cover. So a little different than pumping. But if you can make it out between, that is probably your best bet.
I had a PISA for my first pregnancy. I tried using it once with the battery pack and it was awful. There was no sucktion at all and I just ended up really engorged. If you want something portable look into the Spectra S1. I just got one and it is awesome. And only runs on a rechargeable battery.

It would be similar to nursing and pumping schedule. I've done lots of pumping in the car. I bought an adapter for the car that you plug into the lighter thing (although I don't think those are actual lighters anymore but anyways) so that you have an actual outlet. Because like someone said, the car adapter for the Pisa doesn't put off a strong suck. I've done it during a wedding, on the way home from date nights, during work things, and after meetings with clients.

I'm not going to lie, ds has watched a lot of TV today. He's also helped me put his laundry away, played on his own and we colored Easter eggs. And we were gone for about 30 minutes this morning so maybe it's not as bad as I'm thinking. We are watching a movie now then if it gets up to 55 like the forecast says, I may take him to the park or outside to ride his tractor.

It's a little different for me, since I am exclusively pumping, but I've extended the amt of time I go between pumping. I now pump 4 times a day- every 6 hours. If I'm going be gone longer than 6 hours, I bring the pump.
Speaking of pumping, last night I accidentally slept through a pump, and went like 10 hours without pumping. This morning, I pumped 20 ounces. It was kind of gross. How did I have THAT much milk in me?!

Thanks. This is good to know since I really want a portable one. I will look into the Spectra - it's hard to find someone that ships it to canada for some reason but I'm gonna keep looking.

I WISH I only had to pump every 6 hours. I average about 16 oz a day which still isn't enough for ds to be completely on breast milk. I kinda wish I had an oversupply issue. I wouldn't feel so trapped to the pump and feeding times if I was able to build some kind of a stash.

Holy shit. The most I ever got with ds was 12 I think. Maybe only 10.

I think DD must be coming off the growth spurt. She slept for an hour and a half in her RnP for a nap and is now asleep in the swing and it's not even swinging. It's been nice having a break from the constant holding. I've also had some nice one on one time with ds.

Holy shit! How huge were your boobs?? That is awesome

That is amazing, but sounds painful. Says the lady who pumped half an ounce this morning (after a feeding, but still...).
