DH and I are having a debate. What qualifies as crawling?
I always considered army crawling as crawling. That's what DS1 did pretty much until he walked. He was fast and easily got to his destination by army crawling.

Ok. I include army crawling in there and do does DH. I guess a qualifying question is how far do they need to go before it's more than just scooting incidentally on the mat?

Two random questions...
How does my dog already know that the high chair means food?
How the hell did I lose a baby sock in one wash? I washed it with a load of brand new clothes and it's missing. I checked everything that it was washed with.

waitwhat The only velcro we have is on bibs. I'll check the bib bucket again but I've pretty much gone through them all since it went missing. I did check pockets, hoodies, sleeve and pants. And under my washer/dryer in case it fell during the transfer. Damn socks!

kleigh in my opinion, soccer is way better than t-ball bc there's constant action. And our game was under an hour, including breaks and the requisite snack time at the end. So not terrible.
goldenlove3 you have my sympathy, I haaaaaate missing socks.
Somehow in the last 48 hours I misplaced C's white hair bow. This is a problem bc 1) Now that her hair is longer, it really needs a bow or clip to control it, or it looks sloppy. 2) she wears the white one a lot. 3) I'm neurotic and hate something being lost. Like it will literally keep me awake at night.
I tore the house, car and all my bags apart twice with no luck.
So I made DH stop on our way home from errands and I got a new white one. And some extras. With apologies to Scarlett O'Hara, as God as my witness, she'll never be bow-less again.

Did you check your dirty clothes hamper? Does your dog like socks? Those are the 2 places I check first.
They went straight from the hanger into a laundry basket then washer/dryer. It's possible it missed the basket but I would have seen it by the couch by now. Dog luckily leaves these things alone.
Lol kleigh, I'm a cold weather only runner! 65° is my limit but I grew up a swimmer, didn't learn to run till ROTC at college so I've only ran in cold weather! Plus, I'm a mosquito magnet! sophiegrace, I'm going to laugh if she becomes super girly because this would be a funny story to remember or remind her of! ClassyMrsA, I say hands and knees, depending on speed I'd include army crawling if there's speed or consistent forward motion.
ETA: I just buy tollhouse cookie dough, I'd rather spend the 12.5 - 14 minutes making it myself and their as chewy or hard as I want. DH votes chewy chips ahoy though!
ETA 2: anyone stalking Girl Scout cookie selling locations?

LizInFL you know how much I support that bow game. I'll die and go to heaven when M's hair is long enough to clip back.
kleigh original chips ahoy is on the short list for the things I want to eat as soon as I can eat dairy again. Legit lol at 'better tasting'. IMO when something says that they know it still tastes like shit.
tjanca22 and goldenlove3 hell yes to the mesh garment bag for baby socks. Goldenlove you don't by any chance have a front loader, do you? Sometimes little things get stuck under that rubber seal ring in ours.
Oh cheshie6 it's definitely made it into my mom's thought of the day journal!! Sorry in advance for when your future SO reads that gem, M!
Publix chocolate chip are excellent. If I want the perfect chewy-firm combo, that's what I want.
So I just found out there are Publix stores in VA, about a 75 min. drive from where we'll be (apparently Publix acquired a small regional grocery chain there). You can bet I'll be making the occasional road trip for bakery items and PubSubs.

Pre baby we spent many a date night traveling to the next state over for the better grocery stores. Loved it.

Sitting in the sitting area of our hotel room watching/listening to H and the new doctor talk. They've both had way, wayyyyyyy too much to drink tonight and I'm entertained beyond hell. I might start video taping soon.

sophiegrace No it's a top loader but I do wonder if it could have gotten stuck under the agitator. I'm going to look for it again tomorrow. It's been almost a week though so it might be gone forever.
Lillian has what appears to be a stomach virus. It's....unpleasant and her first one. My mom came over to help. I'm about to cry hearing her be so scared and uncomfortable. I'm also now really worried about Lilah. It's going to be a long night.

I'm so sorry. DS1 has had two stomach viruses in his 3 years of life and they suck. I hope this is just a 24 hour type bug and that Lilah doesn't catch it too.

Holy shit to the kitchen in this house in Indianapolis. I mean holy shit to the entire house, but the kitchen is insane. I'm also in live with all interior doors.

I need an iced coffee in my stomach like 20 minutes ago. But Alec is napping on me and I'm in the middle of folding laundry.
It's supposed to be sunny and 60 today so we will most definitely be out and about. I think a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond and Home Goods is in order. Also our friends are having a tag sale and told us to come by so we'll stop by there (they live a stones throw from Hoe Goods).
We had an amazing trip to Target yesterday.. Now that the babies are a little older it's such a game changer. Once they woke up we took them out of the car seats and each wore one and they LOVED it. We also wore them grocery shopping. (Outfacing both times) I was afraid it'd be too much stimulation but AV slept just fine!

I'm not sure exactly what part of VA you'll be in but if you are near a Wegmans you will not be sorry. You're welcome in advance.
No Wegmans near us, unless they've gotten one since we left a few years ago. It's kind of a grocery store desert, despite being such a populated area (1 mil+). Very few choices.
I've only been to one Wegmans, in Rochester; people had been raving about it so I wanted to like it, but it was an older store (dim, bad lighting, etc) and didn't really impress me. I think I went to the wrong one.
ETA: I actually sent Publix an email that they should consider the Hampton Roads, VA area, especially now that they have a few stores in the state. I'm on a mission to spread the Publix gospel
kleigh the mental pic of you and your H matching/wearing both babies in Target is making me smile. Glad y'all had a good trip!
ClassyMrsA sorry to hear about Lillian. Hope it's brief and no one else catches it.
waitwhat DH actually mentioned not being done the other night and it kinda threw me. He's always been so adamant about 2, but I think C has been such an easy baby, and she's already such a daddy's girl, that he's wavering. We'll see...I don't know how I feel, but I like having the option.
