Morning! Yesterday was a long day. My nephew is not a good roadtripper and spent half the drive whining at me, then we got up there and hung around the hospital for a couple of hours chatting. We went to Olive Garden for lunch where my nephew was an absolute terror and his parents were just letting him do it. After lunch my sister, BIL and their kids went to go take a nap while my other sister, aunt, S and I went back up to the hospital. We spent a few more hours up there and then it was time to hit the road. S slept the whole drive home but woke up when we arrived. She was wide awake and didn't want to go to sleep, eventually falling asleep after midnight (we got home at 10:30) and woke this morning at 7. Baby O is stable, I haven't heard any updates since I left yesterday. Today I'm going to my local crunchy baby store because they are having an anniversary sale with giveaways and swag bags for early people. This afternoon I have to work and I will be training so probably not much tcf time again.
trtlcrzy, thinking about you and your family. I hope you get some sweet free swag at the sale.
I'm ultra suspicious on April 1st. I'd have expect the store to be closed or something.
I bet there will be a ton of people when I get there. People are die hard fans of this store. I am not that extreme. I just want 20% off my ezpz mat and tiny sunglasses for the girls.
Good Morning! Had a great night out with a few other couples last night. I remember now why we chose to live where we live. We took an Uber to dinner, 30 minutes away. When we went to come home, there we no Ubers available for 35 minutes. We have never had to wait more than 4 minutes. Thankfully, one of the other couples took us home.
I slept in then helped DD finish her book report. I need to find a small space shuttle somewhere today. The report was on Sally Ride and she needs to bring 3 objects that represent her in a bag.
Today is soccer opening day. It's cold and rainy.
Tomorrow we have a Baptism for my niece.
Friday DH and I go to California. I'm so nervous to leave the kids, I have never done it before. My sister who is watching them is still out of work with a broken leg so that's super.
wedding do you have a local babysitter you can ask to come over just for bedtime? I know C's high energy, but when he's sick, will he just chill with a movie so you can both relax on the couch?
Good morning! I'm still struggling so much with the decision to stay orleave day care.
He's so happy there, my biggest concern is moving him and he won't be that happy. Or moving him and solving the problems I have I his place but opening up a whole new set of problems.
Morning! Just got home from B's soccer game. It was hilarious. My parents and sister/BIL joined us which was probably overkill, but they got a kick (ha! SWIDT?) out of it. We laughed so much. B seemed to enjoy it, scored 2 goals, and spent a lot of time adjusting his shorts (my dislike of active wear is biting me in the butt--the kid's never worn nylon shorts before, lol).
DH is about to go get subs for lunch and otherwise I think we'll just spend the day doing a bit around the house and probably going to get our first load of moving boxes.

Morning.
Geez wedding, that's tough. I hope you both get better asap and somehow get to see the ENT earlier. Maybe if you let them know he got strep again they will try to fit you in for an earlier appointment.
We skipped gymnastics this morning. Adam let me sleep in until 1030. I slept for 12 hours! I really needed it though. We are about to take both kids to see boss baby. I'm mostly excited about the popcorn. Then dinner out with a friend tonight. It's supposed to be rainy tomorrow so I'm thinking it will be a stay at home and clean house/get caught up on work day. Hope everyone has a good Saturday.
The store was nuts this morning. I got there 20 minutes after they opened and there was still a line outside. By the time I went through the line and paid it was about 1 hour and 45 mins.
I hope everyone is feeling better at your house soon wedding
Do you guys take your kids out in public in their PJs, no shoes, etc? Excluding times of illness/emergency.
Maybe I'm too judgy and this is totally acceptable. Not sure anymore.
We aren't very fanceh and still, that's a no. Never out in jammies unless we're just driving around to look at Christmas lights or something. Not allowed to leave the house without shoes. Ever.

Nope. Clothes and shoes are worn. I'm generally uptight about my kids' appearance, though, so I may not be the best one to opine, lol.
Exceptions: if we're going for donuts and won't be getting out of the car. Also, I have taken C out without socks this week, because it's been close to 90 and girlfriend won't keep her socks on. But once you're walking-age, you're in shoes.
I went to a babypalooza event earlier this morning. Got a few freebies, scheduled a photography class with a local photographer, and got to see baby boy's face. I think he will resemble M a bit, but not be his twin. I'm now home with the kid. I'm hoping he's ready for a nap because I sure am.
Heading to a baseball game later this afternoon. That's about it for the weekend. Hope everyone has a chill weekend!

Nope to pajamas and no shoes. I would only consider it if we were going to do a quick drive thru run or something where we wouldn't be leaving the car.
Colin never leaves the house in pajamas or shoeless, BUT I have given up and allow him to wear soft pants everyday. So is it any different? Really though, neither boy goes downstairs until they're dressed, except maybe Christmas.
Also hi. I'm feeling a bit grumpy for no apparent reason today. DH came home from skating all in a huff but all he said was that Colin wasn't being helpful. Then he disappeared upstairs until his brother showed up. We rarely see him these days - he works for the government in some capacity that no one really knows about - so Colin had a blast showing him all his stuff.
Meanwhile, Chase split his lip and bled all over DH. He also had a huge purple knot on his forehead all week, so I guess we're officially in the bumps and bruises phase. Yay.
Colin just woke DH and me from nap (yup, the whole family took one today) after peeing and pooping in bed. What a disgusting mess. And also, DH is helpless in these situations. I have to give him very explicit instructions and basically get him out of the way while I tackle the grossest stuff. Maybe I would be more annoyed if I hadn't just napped, but finding him in the bathroom struggling to do ANYTHING with Colin just struck me as hysterical today.
Hi all. Kids just went down for a nap so I'm laying down too. Dh went to my parents to help put the dock in the water with my brothers and bil.
Us ladies had massages this morning and then the whole family went to winery for lunch and sat out on the patio while the kids ran wild. It was very relaxing! Now we're all just resting up for tonight. We have a babysit at our house and my sister has one at her house and we're dividing the 11 grandkids up while us adults go to dinner. I don't think we've ever done this since before there were any grandkids.. and the oldest is almost 13! Should be a nice evening
