6ish minutes apart, more uncomfortable than painful. They get worse if I walk anywhere, even to the bathroom.
I'm leaving work now. 20 minute ride to my car then 30 to home. Watch them phase out once I get home though they've been doing this all day and getting closer together
I guess I will leap back in after being silent for months. Like heisenberg I am now past due (April 10). I was only 1/2 cm dilated yesterday at my appointment--I have been hovering there for 3 uncomfortable weeks now since this baby dropped. My daughter was a few days early so I never even anticipated going past my due date!
Are you trying anything heisenberg? I got some raspberry leaf tea and am walking my dog through the hills and today may do some yard work.
Nah. I'm not doing anything, but I'll probably ask for another membrane sweep tomorrow. I think my doc will also set an induction date since I'm >35 and they don't want me going much past 41 weeks. I'm coming to terms with with however and whenever she makes her arrival, as long as we are both healthy.

heisenberg, you are so chill! I need to emulate some of that, I'm so excited I feel like it's going to get me too hyped up so I can't relax and let things happen. Be my chill guru!

Ha! Don't get me wrong. I'm both frustrated and excited too. But I'm trying to enjoy the calm before the storm, and it's been a long time since I've had two days without my kiddo (still sending him to daycare) just to read my book. 😎

Ohhh, that is nice, heisenberg! I had a week of modified bed rest when I was pregnant with DD so I couldn't go to work but also couldn't do anything around the house, so I lounged and watched Netflix for a week. It was actually pretty nice! Enjoy your relaxing time before baby comes and things get hectic!
Had a full bloody show last night and an increase in the random contraction intensity. No timeline whatsoever which is frustrating but I'm taking it as it comes. I've spent yesterday being busy so that's my plan again today.

In the kitchen telling DH how annoying it was to have surges when I'm trying to get shit done. His response "Oh you're going into labor??" Me: you don't go into labor after one surge DH: "No but that's how it starts"
I'm really terrible at swaddling. Or else hospital blankets and a stupid capped off IV still on my hand are a bad combination. Or both.
It was my IV that made it tough for me. Hopefully you get that out soon! Once that was out I could do so much more. Also the hospital arm bands kept scratching her.

The hospital blankets were too small for us to swaddle DS1. This time, I have our own swaddles packed for night time. Luckily, I'm only looking at a 24 hour stay post birth

I brought some, but he's doing some spitting so I haven't gotten them out. FX we're looking at a 10am discharge, less than 24 hours after we arrived.

They leave it for 24 hours just in case you need emergency pit
hpnegirl, things still progressing or did coming home make the contractions stop?
They petered out, came back, petered out, moved to 3 minutes apart for an hour, and then petered out again. The most pain was a few light cramps with them. I had a few overnight and then a two hour reprieve before they just restarted.
I have a NST at 10:30ish today (I was warned to expect at least a 30 minute delay) so we'll see if they pick anything up on the monitors.
I'll be seeing the MFM with one of my MWs and am going to ask if one of them has suggestions other than sex, EPO, and nipple stimulation. The MW on Monday said they'll do a strip at 38w or more, but the MFM considers me term at 37w so he may give the go ahead after yesterday

Yeah I had a bag and a half of pitocin while they did a lot of repair work due to the ruptured blood vessel. Thankfully all seems normal-ish now.

Sounds like the hell I was in. I'm sorry you have to go through that. I hope they strip you if that's what you want 😘

DH and I took a 20 minute walk yesterday evening and I pumped for about 15 minutes. I had a handful of random contractions last night for the first time- nothing timetable, but didn't appear to be BH since they didn't go away with an empty bladder, a nice drink of water, and lying on my side. I'm hoping it was enough to bring baby down low enough for the doc to strip my membranes tonight, although I'm nervous about the procedure hurting. We shall see!
Side note, it was really strange to pump and see nothing come out- I had to keep reminding myself that was a good thing, I kept getting anxious!
