Do your families do April Fools jokes? What are some of the best ones? FIL lives for this day, I haven't been able to believe a word out of his mouth all day haha.
bocaburger amd pbandjelly, Here's hoping. We had about a week of one to two wakeups and ONE night of no wakeups before this hit. Baby girl is also working on teeth 7 and 8 too so I never know if it's teething or developmental.

The stomach bug must've been a quick one day thing because I feel so much better today. I'm still having issues with the idea of eating a whole bunch of foods, but I didn't spend the day on the bathroom floor!
Hey! Haven't checked in in a little bit. We are doing well. DH is headed on another business trip this week. Hopefully we have a small break after this one since it's been pretty much every other week lately. We have been busy with family and house projects on the weekends, so I am really hoping to get a little kid-free alone time to just go shopping or something sometime in the next few weeks.

My baby decided he just wanted to chomp and pull on my nipples all night. Second I'd take him off, he'd scream. Didn't want the binkie, or the bottle, just to use and abuse my poor boobs. Ouch

eaglewife 7 or 8 teeth?! We're still all gums over here.
It's been nuts. She got her bottom front two first, and they cut through on Christmas day remylove1011, Then the bottom left, then top two fronts, then bottom right, now the two outter ones on the top. And they're little sharp daggers too. :S
4:30 in the Boca household. Have I mentioned how much I hate mornings?
Haha. We're also in the 4am club. Seems to be her new thing. Of course she's now asleep and I have to get ready for work. Rude.
She was up from 4-6 today too here. Pooped, ate, fussed, nothing would soothe. Eventually she finally accepted laying back in her crib (after the 15th or 78th attempt?) and snoozed back out. #solidarity

4-5:30 I let him CIO for about 20 min before I gave up and just let him play. He slept for 3 more hours when he went back down. H even got up with me for a few min to help. I sent him back to bed because I was already wide awake at that point.
Recently I was hanging out with two good friends who bf their babies. I guess I haven't really been up close when people are bfing before. Anyways (how do I say this without sounding so weird), I noticed that they both had nipples that stick out. My nipples are really flat - like, really flat! I wonder if that's why E could never latch, there was just nothing to latch on to. Maybe it's not just this baby, but that *I* can't breast feed.
So the question is - do nipples stretch? Maybe my friends just happen to have longer nipples?

I feel like since BF my nipples stick out more, but they were never flat before. Maybe sometime to talk over with a LC next time you're pregnant in prep for delivery.

I bet that was the issue! I know some people have "inverted" nipples and have trouble latching. I'm not positive but I think there are special nipple shields you can wear to help with that.
You worked with an LC right? I'm surprised they didn't mention that.
So today has been nuts. G woke up for the day at 4:30am, M was up for the day at 5:30. I couldn't get them down for naps because they were hungry and I wasn't producing enough milk to nurse them both, but the bottles were dirty and they wouldn't let me put them down for long enough to wash them. Our new temporary babysitter arrived at 9 and it took us until 10 to get them both fed and asleep. At 10:20 the dog started barking, woke them, and they never got back to sleep. So they have basically been awake for 8 hours so far today.
The babysitter just took them out for a walk in the stroller and I am praying they nap for a looong time.

We're also in the sleep regression...he had never slept well but we were down to 1-2 wakeups. Recently it's been a 4 hour stretch then basically hourly. frigen suuuuuucks.
So last week we were on vacation for daycare closure. E had a fever of 103 that would not break. And projectile vomiting. We knew something was up and not just a cold or flu. We ended up bringing him to the ER. They were the biggest waste ever and did NOTHING, literally we sat there for 5 hours and they checked his vitals then told us to follow up with our doctor in the morning. So that was a fun $200 visit!! Anyways, his doctor was pissed they dismissed up, and she ordered urine sample and blood samples. Came back with a UTI. Which only happens in about 2% of baby boys so now she scheduled us for an ultrasound to check on his kidneys. And DH & I are wondering if we should now circumcise. Very difficult to see him so sick and we want to prevent it any way we can, even though we don't really want to go that route... ugh
And I'm struggling internally with the decision to have another baby or not. We've always said one and done. We see so many benefits to only having one. Neither of us want another. But then we hang out with my brother's family and see how much fun the kids all have together (he has 3) and it makes us sad that we are "robbing" DS of that companion. It sucks, I want him to have that...but I don't want the responsibility lol. I don't want to be pregnant again, I don't want to give birth again, I don't want the newborn stage again, I don't want to shuttle 2 kids around. So I mean it's a pretty clear cut decision, yet I can't seem to shake the guilt that he will be missing out. I guess that probably sounds really stupid.

I did! Several, in fact! And we used the nipple shields, too - but apparently it was really hard work for him to get milk, and he would fall asleep after a few minutes. Even at 3 months old, he never would get more than an ounce.

Oh man, so sorry about the UTI! That's so awful. What causes a UTI for a boy, if it's so rare? Is it just random?
As to the sibs: Make a lot of play dates? Have any cousins or neighbors he could be bffs with? Also, you could foster or adopt (doesn't solve the shuttling two kids around issue, but skips pregnancy and birth!).

Yea I guess it's just random. She didn't say it had any correlation to being uncircumcised or anything like that so we have no idea how he got it. I'm a freak about changing his diaper all the time, even middle of the night, sometimes even when it's dry. So I'm not sure!

hannahbear that definetly could have been part of the problem. We used a nipple shield for about 3 months and then she was able to latch without. Nursing has definetly ulled my nipples out more.

So I had my yearly gyno appt today and found out why my recovery from failed induction/c-section. ***TMI warning***
Apparently my vagina tore during labor from the top/inside down. MH says he remembers them saying that, but he didn't fully understand what that meant (really? Is that difficult to understand?). So that's super fun. Apparently this means I could never have a VBAC, even if I really wanted one. I guess it's all healed really well, but omfg. I didn't even realize that was a thing!

Exciting news: Mr. Boca got a job! It is overwhelming and emotional because we have to move but very exciting. The job search process was sooo stressful and it's such a relief to be done.
