How far along are you? 20+1 !

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? For the first time since I got pregnant last June I am excited. Also terrified because it seems as though THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING NOW! I'm trying to focus on the positives and not on everything that can go wrong between now and 24w / 40w, but I feel like I might actually get to take home this baby and it's scary as all heck!

Physically- TMI but the constipation is back and so. Not. Fun. Just annoying and I need to be better about taking my stool softener. Pregnancy is so glamorous! Random nausea here and there when I wake up but otherwise I'm doing okay.

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? Nah, next appt is end of the month 😭

Do you need any thoughts or prayers? I'm okay, thanks!

Anything else you'd like to share? It's a BOY! And he is healthy!! And I am in complete and utter shock. I almost started crying when we saw his little peen and no anomalies.

QoTW: What is your favorite baby related item you've bought so far (if you have bought anything already)? Or what are you looking forward most to buying? We haven't bought anything... I think we may go start our registry next weekend when I'm off of work. I am excited to buy ALL THE THINGS... except I don't think we will actually buy anything until we move end of May, so we don't have to lug things from one place to another

@xamountofwords, I'm having the exact same problem at night. I have to switch sides every hour or so because my hip starts to hurt so bad! So weird but glad I'm not alone.

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? Physically good except for the trouble sleeping. Emotionally I just need to get through the A/S.

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? OB appointment on Wednesday. A/S scheduled for 4/12 but might change. See below.

Do you need any thoughts or prayers? Not at the moment thanks!

Anything else you'd like to share? My A/S was originally scheduled for 4/7. I called a couple weeks ago to change it to 4/12 so MH could be there. Well MH just found out they're changing his work schedule effective tomorrow so now he likely can't come on 4/12. I'm so upset about it because I don't know if I'll be able to change it again without delaying it further. I need it to be over because I have non-stop anxiety.

We haven't bought anything yet but I'm excited to get a nice glider.

cali oh no! I'm sorry you had to move it and now your H can't make it! Maybe if you call them back and see if the original date is still an option? ☹️ I'm sorry, that really stinks.

I think I'm just glad of not hiding it anymore at work. And being able to talk about it a bit. But I'm already getting a little tired of my one friend constantly talking about it - she keeps asking about things and while I'm excited to be like yep! Pregnant! Healthy baby boy! I also get sad/awkward when people are like oh how exciting your first baby... and I just can't decide whether to be like uh no not really... or talking about names is a struggle and people keep asking! Like, I've known it's a boy for all of two seconds! Bc I had a boys name picked out last time and now I feel all the feels about maybe using it for this one.

addymac, half-baked!!!!!! Congrats on being team blue. Everything crossed that the next four weeks cross quickly and smoothly for you.

@xamountofwords, I'm glad your H is so supportive of whatever decision you make about your job. I hope something your love just as much as your current position comes along.

cali, that stinks on your H's schedule! Honestly, I would leave your appointment on the same date instead of pushing it back more. You've already moved it once to accommodate his schedule. It would be nice for him to be there but you also need to get this done with.

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)?

I seem to be getting more low back pain and just general uncomfortableness when in the wrong position - which can be any position after awhile. Emotionally, just trying to take one day at a time. Dealing with a lot of paranoia about whether I am having contractions and not recognizing them especially since some of the movement I am feeling also feels like a "tightening" but I think it's movement.

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week?

Cervix check with the MFM on Tuesday, last loss milestone on Thursday.

Do you need any thoughts or prayers?

That these babies stay inside babies for many, many more weeks (see below)

Anything else you'd like to share?

My cervix check on last Tuesday showed my cervix shortening combined with funneling. Because my MFM didn't think contractions were happening, she held off on bedrest. I started progesterone supplements the next day, had modified bed rest when I was at home, and just took it very easy at work until my Friday appointment. On Friday, my cervix was measuring between 2.8 and 3.5 and the funneling was basically gone. My MFM was out and the one covering was more relaxed about "restrictions". Next appointment is Tuesday and hopefully my regular MFM will be the one to see us.

Favorite item so far are some onesies that H picked out. I love how excited he is about stuff like that.

@xamountofwords making decisions about jobs is tough. I am glad your H is supportive, no matter what. I wish I had flexibility to at least change my hours but as the primary breadwinner for the next few years, it's not feasible and I'm getting really sad about having to work full time at night after the baby is born. Dang it, life.

therealbug I'm so glad your cervix is doing better. I hope your next appointment shows the same or better. My thoughts are with you as you get through this week. *hugs hugs hugs*

addymac and therealbug, I'm going to call tomorrow to see if it's possible to reschedule either back to the original date or just earlier in the day on that same day. I definitely will not push it back any further. If I can't reschedule earlier I'm gonna leave it, but I hate the thought of him not being there because I'm so nervous about it and I don't want to be alone if there's something wrong.

addymac, one of the names we're considering was also one of our top picks for our first baby if it was a girl. I felt weird for a while about it (and still kind of do) but unfortunately we never officially picked a name for that baby because we never found out if it was a boy or a girl. So I kind of feel like maybe it's ok?

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? My hips/pelvis have been hurting while I sleep and it wakes me up. I randomly threw up this morning which was wierd but otherwise I've been feeling pretty good.

Two milestones this week: Monday is my anatomy scan and Wednesday I'll be halfway through this pregnancy! I can't believe I've made it this far!

addymac, People keep asking us about names too and giving me opinions. We've decided once we do decide we aren't telling anyone the name. We are both teachers and I really don't want opinions from other teachers about names.

Tired all the time, I am not sure if it is the baby or work...

Had a repeat A/S last Tuesday because little boy moves too much and will not cooperate! It took 3 tries that day but they finally got all the images they needed.

Anything else you'd like to share? I am a little stressed because MH family is visiting next week and I know they will be asking All.The.Time about staying with us before the baby comes. MH is now onboard with me about no one coming until we are on the way to the hospital (which means my sister because she is the closest at 4 hours away). It will be tight with DD and MH until someone gets there but I would rather have her with us at the hospital than a week of stress beforehand.

We were super prepared with DD and I feel like we really do not need anything except some boy clothes now. I am waiting until my semester is done to even think about it!

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? Physically better than I have been. But I went shopping for 4 hours Saturday and my hips were PISSED. I've also been more tired.

Emotionally thought I was fine until I had a big panic attack yesterday and cried for awhile. It started over something silly H and I fought over. The it turned into time is moving too fast and the weekend was too busy and I never got to relax. So H told me I needed a nap (I felt like I was seriously 5 yrs old) and I slept for 2 hours.

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? Nope

Do you need any thoughts or prayers? not baby related but for my dad. He couldn't get immunotherapy last week because he had such a severe reaction to the last dose. Plus there was a hole under his port so they had to remove it. Really hope he feels better and can go this week.

Anything else you'd like to share? H felt baby girl kick on Sat! It was a little one but he felt it. I irrationally got upset he wouldn't drop everything and come to me whenever I said she was kicking..

cali, ((hugs)) that sucks but I agree getting it done asap will help with your anxiety. Is there anyone else who can come with you?

How far along are you? 19 + 5

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? Physically sore in my lower back. Baby refuses to move up much, and so is hanging out very low. I know this because of the U/S, the doppler, and where I think I feel it kick. Emotionally I am doing alright. I think I am freaking out internally about how far we've gotten, and how much we now need to do before baby comes. I am trying to get H to clean out the guest room so we can start on the repairs and turn it into a nursery, but that means getting rid of things and I swear he is allergic. For example: a plastic serving spoon broke today and he wanted to keep the parts because "they could be useful". Yes AS TRASH!!!!!

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? Nothing until the end of the month.

Do you need any thoughts or prayers? Nope doing alright so far.

Anything else you'd like to share? Anyone else had to deal with people wanting to get into your personal space? I expected I would probably have some person at some point touch my belly without asking. However an acquaintance actually KISSED my belly yesterday. I was so floored I didn't say anything, but I really thought MH was going to kill her.

Since we aren't finding out the sex of baby, we have been scouring for gender neutral things. But so far I am most excited about the glider. lol It's so comfy!

elliecat17 - what the actual fuuuuck? I probably would have knocked them on their head if they tried to kiss my belly! WHO DOES THAT?!? I'm so sorry you had to deal with that!!! I've had two unsolicited belly rubs and was caught so off guard...what glider do you have / are you getting?? I've picked the crib and dresser out but have no idea where to look for a glider 😕

yoshijo28 not gonna lie, I've been guilty of the meltdown needs a nap situation. And then I've taken a nap and felt better and like a toad for being so pissy at DH earlier. 🤷🏻‍♀️I'm so sorry things with your dad's treatment has had hiccups. I hope he feels better and can go this week, too. Keeping him and your fam in my thoughts.

yellowcat - I'm sorry their visit is stressing you. I'm glad your DH is on bird with your wishes. My mom has started on the "maybe we will move to Chicago to watch the baby" and we are both like 🙅🏻🙅🏻🙅🏻🙅🏻 I think she was offended but I'm like uhhh no...

Had our anatomy scan today. Everything they could see looks good. He is measuring around the 50th percentile for head, waist, arms, and legs. Feet look big (no surprise since DH wears a size 14). It made me feel so much better to see the baby again.

Couldn't get a good view of heart or spine. So I have a fetal echocardiogram in 2 weeks (apparently this is the norm for people who did IVF-at least in this town) and then another a/s in 4 weeks to look at the spine. Hey, I'm ok with seeing the baby 3 times in the next month after not seeing him for the last 7!

How far along are you? 19w 5 days

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? I have a nasty head cold again. I swear I get every bug my 2 year old gets, while dh doesn't get sick at all. My nausea was gone, but the coughing makes it return and I nearly threw up in the car. Yay. Felt great after the anatomy scan, but now I am back to over-analyzing movement.

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? Apt April 9 with obgyn. I think that's this week.

Do you need any thoughts or prayers? Not at the moment.

Anything else you'd like to share? I bought some maternity shirts thinking they would last the whole pregnancy. They will not. My rate of expansion is greater than I anticipated.

Hi ladies.... Im taking a break from working on my trial to check in on everyone and say hi! I feel so out of the loop right now.

How far along are you? 19w (tomorrow) YAY!

How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? I have had some great appointments recently, so emotionally I am feeling great. I have moments where I just feel overwhelmed with DH being gone and working and raising two kids solo (temporarily) and I have emotional breakdowns, but I am feeling pretty good, now! Physically, I am doing alright. Im not the greatest pregnancy person, from a physical perspective, and I need another knee surgery, so I get worn out and achy so quick. I could also do without the pregnancy insomnia!!

Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? I had my A/S on Friday. It went GREAT! There are zero issues with the baby and there were no markers that caused them to be concerned. With this scan, the NT scan, and the materniti21 results, I have been deemed low risk, which is great. It is a huge relief. The two SCH that I had are completely gone... YES!!! And everything else was looking on point. I met with my OBGYN today and I got to hear the heartbeat, which was great too. I am feeling a huge sense of relief now. Due to everything looking so great, I have opted to not do the amnio. At this point, my risk of miscarriage is higher if I did the amnio than to have a baby with abnormalities or issues. Im feeling a lot of movement, so I just feel some sense of relief at this point. No more testing or crazy appointments until the end, since I am AMA. The baby is breech, but they indicated that there is so much time to flip and to not worry!

Do you need any thoughts or prayers? Its not really baby related, but its for my family. DH has a horrid ex-wife that has caused us a lot, I mean a lot of problems. I'd get into it, but it is so unbelievable. Anyway, he has a court hearing on Monday, dealing with one of the issues (she filed fraudulent paperwork with Department of Child Support Services- which caused us some really serious financial issues) and there is a hearing about it. We could really use some prayers that his attorney get this shiz handled and we can have her out of our life. Prayers greatly appreciated that her reign of terror will end.

Anything else you'd like to share? DD got to feel the baby move. She was so excited! It was a neat experience to share with her. Also, my two best GFs have been going with me to my appointments. They are type A/OCD attorneys like me and were very displeased that we were waiting to find out if it was a boy or girl. Because I love them to the moon and back, I allowed the U/S tech to tell them if I've got a boy or a girl in there..... So they know what Im having, which is crazy to think and now that they know, I want to know!

DS is only 2 years old and we have not thrown away anything yet. So, I will probably just buy a couple girl outfits and wait til we know, upon delivery. I can't imagine how hard it must be to be dealing with everything with your DH being away. I've never leaned on my DH as hard as I have this pregnancy (not even my last one), so kudos to you, mama!!

Hey ladies! Just wanted to pop in to say I am sorry to be MIA so much. Work (and life in general) is kicking my ass and as soon as I come home I go to bed .. then dinnertime and some time together with MH and then bedtime already again. Urgh. I miss keeping up with you all - feel like I am weeks behind on everything! But, I will be off next week so hope to catch up for real then!
