th3stryck3r, I've been thinking about your day care dilemma. What do you mean "not as nice?" I'm assuming it's because their center may be a little... dated?
Exactly this. It's a little dated— they've been in their spot for almost 15 years and I don't think they've updated much. But they've been there for almost 15 years, which I think is a plus! I probably wouldn't have thought much about it, but her current place is new and shiny and has totally unnecessary but nice things like a dedicated gym area with a toddler rock climbing wall. In less expensive place, there's a little less space overall, and it's on the second floor of a building, which means going up a flight of stairs. (Not a huge deal, but the one thing I want to ask about that is their fire/ emergency evac plan, because getting a bunch of toddlers down a stairwell seems difficult.)

th3stryck3r, I had something similar happen when DS1's in home dc "kicked" us out. We looked at bright, shiny newer centers and their current center. The newer ones were well respected and had lots of great reviews. My major complaint with their current center was that it is dated (it's been in business for 20 years). But the environment is loving and safe. And they do lots of extras like bringing in a theatre for puppet shows. DS1 is currently taking soccer lessons for the next 6 weeks.
And remember kids don't care about shiny, new things.
Not going to lie though, saving $800 would also play a huge piece in my decision.

@them3stryck3r did you for sure not get into the Y? Good luck Making a decision on where to go. When S1 was in daycare, rates always went down as he got older

Moms club spring party today. It's really more like an Easter party but we can't call it that. Then I'm hoping to get to the park this afternoon with the kids. Tomorrow it's going to be a high of 74!!!!
H dressed M in a black shirt and brown corduroy pants 😒
I changed his shirt.
H dresses A in the strangest outfits. Like stripes on stripes. I appreciate he is attempting pattern mixing, but FFFC I sometimes change her after he leaves for work.
i am back on the computer. trying to get all my shit together before the 10 am meeting i run. that is over 50 jobs that need updated information in less than 10 mins.
Ethan keeps saying "dada dada dada " this happens all day long. Dude. I'm the one that keeps you alive all day. Can I get a mama every once in awhile
Dada is everything in this house too. If you ask A "What do you say" when you hand her something, she will respond with "Thank you, dada!" I don't even attempt to correct her.
H never picks out clothes for A. I think it's mainly because he knows I'm a bit of a clothing nazi when it comes to her. He does love to shop for her and has great taste, so I wouldn't mind if he dressed her, but I think it causes him anxiety.
So last night when I put DS to bed he thought it would be fun to continuously get out of bed until he finally fell asleep. It was about 8 or 9 times of me or mh going in, picking him up, putting him back to bed, leaving. Rinse & repeat.
But it was so funny - every time he got out of his bed he would lay down at his door to try and look under it, and all you hear is a softly spoken "Hi. Hi. Hey. Hi. Mama. Hi"
I had to compose myself every time I went in to put him back in bed.
Happy Friday, ladies! Just did my make up with all the MK products I have (except brows, I have to find a match to my cover girl color). Honest opinions, please!!
So Allison was full of I'm going to do stupid ish yesterday and make you feel like MOTY. We were with DD1 while she was picking up her car (she had just gotten some work done on it) and Allison wanted to go sit in one of the chairs, so I let her. She ran over climbed up and sighing seconds was screaming. (Not pain, but terror). She stick her hand in a wax warner thing and her hand was covered in wax. I have these at home and I know they don't get hot, so once Infigured out what happened I was able to calm her down pretty quickly and while we peeled the wax off her hand, she was having the best fucking time. Next we were sitting in the little area between our living room and office (the office is an open space not a separate room) and she went over to play with one of the office chairs. I told her not to and she came back to okay with her toys. I was playing on my phone and saw her walk over to the chair out of the corner of my eye. Usually when she does something she's not supposed, she gets my attention, not this time, I looked up just in time to see her pull one of the office chairs over, fortunately she fell away from it and it didn't land on her, but yay me, I rock. Then last night I was in my room folding and hanging laundry. She was on my bed falling into the pillows, this is one of her favorite things in the world to do. I turned away from the bed to hang some stuff in the closet and turned around to see her sliding and flipping off the side of the bed. She was flipping out, I stayed calm so she wouldn't react to me and she calmed down pretty quick and I asked her if she had any owies, she said no, I asked her if she was just scared and she said yes. Then I saw her mouth full of blood. I gave her some water to drink and cleaned her up and everything seemed fine, just a tiny cut on the inside of her lip. Then last night during dinner I realized the bridge of her nose is swollen and bruised. Fucking awesome!
mrspiatt, kids are going to get hurt, it happens. I left C and A on the couch this week while I cleaned the dishes. I look over and C is falling off and I yelled at A to stop (they were goofing off) and he was going down backwards. We have tile floor. I made it around the counter not in time to stop him from falling but to get my hands under his head before it smacked the tile.

Some days I leave before DS gets up and DH picks out interesting outfits. Several times he has been wearing pj shirts when I have picked him up. I definitely laugh to myself but I'm pretty whatevs at this point.
went to fresh market to buy fish for dinner tonight. picked up a tuna snack pack - fresh tuna salad, grapes, crackers and cheese - for lunch. You know no meat on Fridays. Came back to office, sat down and put said tuna on my cracker and popped it into my mouth and noticed at that time the package said chicken salad.
