We didn't do much this weekend. Swim lessons Saturday morning then grocery shopping. Sunday i tried to get the car washed but the line up was huge so we gave up, after nap time we went for a walk around the block.
I went to the doctor this morning for my throat and he said it's viral not bacterial so no antibiotics needed. I know it's silly but i'm sad, i respond really quick to antibx so was looking forward to feeling better by tomorrow. Now i just have to ride it out with tylenol. He said i should rest, lol ok.

Our weekend was quiet. Saturday I deep cleaned our apartment while DH took DD to a live animal show and Easter bunny story time at the mall. Then I went to the gym while DD napped and picked up a pizza for dinner. Dh I watched the Dave Chapelle special on Netflix. Sunday my parents were supposed to come over and take us out to lunch for my birthday but they are sick and had to cancel. So we just took DD to ride her bike and she played outside with the neighborhood kids all afternoon while we sat out back and did some gardening. What made me smile this weekend was Saturday night I heard DD calling me on the monitor. It must have taken me a few minutes to wake up and register she needed me because when I went in she was sitting by her door with a ring of stuffed animals around her. She said " I wake up to go potty" I said sorry I didn't hear you right away. She says "that ok my animals keep me company while I calling you"
We had a very low-key weekend. Went out to dinner with friends on Saturday but other than that, just cleaning and family time. My parents just got back from 2.5 weeks away so they have been soaking up O time.
Things that made me smile/happy (in a sad sorta way). O was very clingy this morning to me, wrapping me with love and hugs and very upset that Daddy was dropping her off at daycare and not me. These kiddo's always know when something is up. I am traveling this week for work and leave tonight. I'm sure I was getting enveloped in love because of that, but extra hugs from the kiddo always makes me happy.
Y'all already know what I did this weekend but here's the recap: Parents watched kid, I got drunk on margaritas Took kids to zoo and girls wine night Plumbing hell and pizza/ beer.
I got back from my conference last night. It was so good to be away even though today is a bit dreadful (just workload). What makes me happy - watching the kids make each other laugh. It's so awesome. Also Dh cleaned off the table and put dishes in dishwasher after dinner - that made me happy too.
Saturday morning I got my oil changed. My brother and SIL's gender reveal was later in the afternoon. I'm going to have a nephew!!
Sunday we finally put the bounce house up. G had a lot of fun playing in it.
I can't get rid of this stupid cough so I took some Delsym last night. Cough is gone, but now I'm feeling a bit loopy this morning.
Something that makes me smile: G kept complaining about the ants (gnats) in her ears yesterday so I asked her if she wanted her earmuffs. She wore them the rest of the time outside and kept them on through dinner. I was sure they were coming to the bath too, but she took them off.
Saturday we had swim lessons. DD did so good. She swam underwater and got to the side of the pool alone and did a 5 second backfloat completely on her own. She was so proud of herself so that made me smile. After swim lessons we did lunch and went to the park, it was a gorgeous day. Yesterday I went to spin and then we hung around the house. Watched zootopia. We also found a burst pipe in our basement so that's on the docket to fix this week
Sat was Eliza's party. And when we were done it was so nice out that we walked to the park. Sunday we went to The Boss Baby. It was a super cute movie and I lol'd several times. Eliza sat through it but kept asking when it was done about 20 minutes left.
This week is pretty low key. I think I'm going to clean up Eliza's room to make room for her new toys. And maybe pack away some of the winter clothes to sell.
Saturday was pretty rainy so we just stayed home and tried to function as a family of 4. MH let me sleep until 9! It was after needing to hold T for 3 hours but at least he didn't cry at while I held him. Sunday morning we hit up the zoo. My SIL and her boyfriend came with us. Clara HATES her boyfriend. MH and I think it's because he doesn't really talk to us or interact with her. Same with my SIL when he is around. It's awkward and weird. After the the zoo we came home for a nap and SIL gave presents. She left and we napped and then went to the park! What makes me smile: I'm enjoying BFing a lot more this time. Also, Clara wakes up and the first thing she does is ask for baby teddy! It melts me every time!
Well, H and DS1 were recovering from the flu so it was pretty low key and there were a lot of miserable moments.
Saturday DS2 had a PT follow up. It was nice out so I took DS1 to the park while DS2 napped. Then we all played outside until dinner time.
Sunday we hung around the house and watched The Good Dinosaur. We did a Costco run but DS1 fell asleep on the way there and I was prisoner to the car for 2+ hrs while he slept. DS1 had fun sitting in the cart while H shopped at Costco.
Both DS2 and I have colds. We are miserable. I am happy to be at work though. Too much sickness at home.
It's simple but I get very happy when my kids laugh.
This weekend was full of birthdays stuff. Thursday was my mom's birthday so we had dinner with them, Friday night I had a tricky tray fundraiser for my school. I had some wine, a hot meal, got to see some friends and I won 2 gift certificates. Saturday we were supposed to go to the bunny breakfast at DD1s school but she had another random fever Friday night so we skipped it and took her to the doctor instead. We had another family dinner with my mom and brothers. Yesterday was my birthday and both kids slept till 8 when we actually woke them up. DH and I went to brunch alone and then came home and BBQed with my family. Took the kids to the park, put DD1 to bed early and then got takeout with DH. All in all a nice, low key birthday weekend. Oh and DH got a year of pandora radio for the car which I'm excited about despite the fact that I told him not to spend money on a gift.
We helped my ILs move on Saturday. On Sunday we went to church and then spent the afternoon with my parents. We did a lot of driving.
Today I took DS2 for his 1 year checkup and got more bad news. He can't catch a break. They also wouldn't do his vaccinations because he isn't 1 until tomorrow? So I have to take him back on Wednesday.
DS1 has had a major potty training regression so I finally bought him his own potty. He has been dry for 2 days, including naps and night! I hope he stays excited about it and we are nearing the end of training pants.

Ds1 looks for ds2 every morning. He runs to greet him, pushes his head against the crib as close as he can get....and starts yelling WAKE UP BABY WAKE UP. Then runs to me and says "mommy baby waked up!!"

Forgot the what makes me smile: seeing Dd's brain at work. We drove by the Temple today and there were some round windows. Out of nowhere she says, "I though those windows would be circles, but they're ovals." She was legitimately surprised by her observation and musing aloud about it.

+1. Except my DS1 climbs up on the crib and leans over and yells at DS2 "Wake up baby O!"

Oh no. Sorry about the bad news. Poor little guy.
Yea I scheduled DS2's 6 month appointment the day before he turned 6 months and they wouldn't give him the vaccine so we had to come back. It was less than 12 hrs until he was 6 months. Seriously.

Really? Ours will do the shots if they are within 6 days of the age.

Can't remember if it was the flu shot or a different vaccine. Either way they wouldn't do it until exactly 6 months. Must have been flu shot.
Low key weekend since DS1 was getting over the flu. But Sunday was gorgeous and it was great to air out the house and get the kids outside.
It makes me happy seeing how much DS1 loves his brother. He's always asking about him and trying to teach him to crawl. He was devastated he couldn't play with him for a few day.
Susan0utLoud I know you've said it before but your son calling her "Cot" is just the cutest thing ever My ds makes up names for the baby sometimes - I love it because it's so sweet.
