1. How did you get your TCF screen name? - I was different on TB for years and then there was a glitch that allowed people change their SN. I was less than thrilled with my previous name and McGee was a nickname forever. No rhyme or reason really for the McGee nickname. So I just went with it and picked SparkyMcGee.
2. What is your job? Do you enjoy it? I currently work in sales. I verify the paperwork and make sure we have everything for underwriting. I hope to move to underwriting soon. I've applied so fingers crossed. Before this job I worked in finance for about 10 years.
3. One thing (other than your family/friends) that you couldn't live without. Books, TV, Movies, etc
4. What hobbies do you have? Besides reading and the aforementioned TV and movies, I like crochet and embroidery. I quilt a little. I love to paint and draw.
5. What area do you live in? (As specific or vague as you want to be) I live in Utah but I grew up in St. Louis. We moved out here a year ago. We wanted to wait to try for another after we were settled here.
kensie5226 - I've been riding my bike on the trainer. H won't let me take it outside pregnant because he's nervous I'll crash. Everyone keeps asking if we have taken them out yet and I keep coming up with excuses.
sparkymcgee - I crochet and knit! We will have to have a AW thread some day.
rooskie, I rode with my first pregnancy a few times until about 16 weeks when I started to feel a bit off balance. I hate the trainer, but we have a spin bike I'm trying to use. I just don't have time.

1. How did you get your TCF screen name? It's my nickname from H. He usually just calls me Roo now though.
2. What is your job? Do you enjoy it? I'm an acccountant for a huge manufacturing company. I love it because I get to see what we make every day and the people I work with are generally great.
3. One thing (other than your family/friends) that you couldn't live without. My iPhone/iPad.
4. What hobbies do you have? I knit, crochet, and sometimes pretend to sew. I have been reading a lot on my iPad and I enjoy it a lot too.
5. What area do you live in? (As specific or vague as you want to be). I'm in So IN in a small town. We are pretty close to STL, Louisville, Indy, and Nashville though so it's easy to do weekend trips.

Woohoo! Go CARDS! I miss STL so much. I love it here too but I love STL.
sparkymcgee - I was actually raise a Cubs fan and was converted into a cardinals fan by H and his family. We were pretty excited about the outcome of yesterday's game.

Right!? After the astounding season the Cubs had last year I needed that win. I'm so jealous of friends that were at the game. I was seeing all of these pics on FB. Utah doesn't have real baseball. Just minor league. It's just not the same.

A bunch of people from here went too (it's like 2.5 hrs away). My parents were all excited to get to watch again and I was laughing.
Every time I go to Chicago for work they want be to bring home Cubs stuff. Urgh.

1. How did you get your TCF screen name? I've used it off and on for awhile - at the time, I was working as a paralegal in my first job after college and still adjusting to adult, office-based life.
2. What is your job? Do you enjoy it? I'm now an attorney. It has its ups and downs, but I generally enjoy it and think it's a good match to my interests and skill set.
3. One thing (other than your family/friends) that you couldn't live without. Chocolate. I am a complete sweets addict. I had GD last pregnancy, and thankfully, simple sugars were ok, it was the complex sugars like rice and potatoes that were a problem. While I love potatoes, I cannot live with chocolate, so that worked.
4. What hobbies do you have? When I have time, which is rare, I like reading (especially trashy Romance novels, with a special focus on Regency-era trashy romance novels), watching tv (Magicians is the currently-airing obsession, followed by Goldbergs and Mindy... anxiously awaiting the new season of Outlander), and spending time outside with family and friends. We are a big board/card game household as well - Red7 and Carcassone are current favorites.
5. What area do you live in? (As specific or vague as you want to be) Philadelphia metro.
1. How did you get your TCF screen name? My name on the dump was way too close to my real name, since it had carried over from the knot. Briar will be that baby's name if it's a girl. I got Briar from Sleeping Beauty, aka, Briar Rose. Middle name won't be rose. I used it for my screen name so long ago because DH is one of 4 boys, so I am not overly confident I will get my girl.
2. What is your job? Do you enjoy it? I am a personal chef. I go to peoples homes and do their cooking. I work 1-2 days a week right now, and DS generally comes with me. My clients right now are all older and 2/3 are single. I prefer cooking for larger families, but it is what it is, and honestly, I would prefer to not be working at all at this stage in life, and will take that opportunity if it arises. I am loyal to my clients though and can't just drop them because I want to stay at home.
3. One thing (other than your family/friends) that you couldn't live without. Reading! I read like a book a week, so I am always game for what are you reading check-ins.
4. What hobbies do you have? As mentioned, reading and cooking. I am also an old lady who likes to do counted cross stitch when I get the opportunity and am motivated. I enjoy playing volleyball and softball, but don't have the opportunities to do that the past few years.
5. What area do you live in? (As specific or vague as you want to be) I live in WI, but wont go too much more specific. I don't live in one of the major cities.
@officedronette, I am another waiting for Outlander! although I will have to wait for it on bluray.
boo to you cubs and cardinals fans. die-hard Brewers fan here. we only get to like 1 game a year now, but at one time it was my dream to move down to Milwaukee and work for the Brewers.
rooskie, I think they pick up a bit as time goes on, and I do recall the second not being my favorite book/season plot-wise (though they do such a good job on the show!). I remember liking 3, so I'm looking forward to this season. Also spoiler warning - but I personally can't read book 2 pregnant because of certain plot points, so consider that a trigger warning if you are towards the beginning.
I had a hard time getting through that first section of Outlander, and a relative spoiled #2 for me, so that made me rush through that one in a way that I didn't get so much out of it. I have read through #4, and I am kind of taking an Outlander break since I read 1-4 plus the graphic novel, plus both tv seasons, plus the accompanying tv book, all in like 4 months. I am crazy when I get on a roll/obsessed with a series.
1. How did you get your TCF screen name? It's my nickname
2. What is your job? Do you enjoy it? I'm a CPA. I do taxes for our personal wealth division, so ultra rich people and their trusts, estates, etc. I like it when it's not tax season. 12 hour days with a toddler is rough.
3. One thing (other than your family/friends) that you couldn't live without. That's a tough one. Probably my phone although I'm terrible at answering it.
4. What hobbies do you have? I ride horses (not while pregnant) and I love to run. I'm not fast and can't go far but I enjoy it haha.
5. What area do you live in? (As specific or vague as you want to be) I live on the west coast. About 3.5 hours from the ocean.
@officedronette, love Magicians! I read the book years ago and think they did a really good bringing it to life. My H thinks it is overacted, but he will watch with me.
1. How did you get your TCF screen name? It was a randomly assigned username in college. It's one of those random things you never forget, so I used it when I needed an SN for the Knot.
2. What is your job? Do you enjoy it? I'm an office manager for a startup company. Some days I enjoy it, but mostly I'd love to be a SAHM. Not sure how to make that work yet.
3. One thing (other than your family/friends) that you couldn't live without. Books. I'm also down for a what are you reading check-in.
4. What hobbies do you have? Other than reading, I love to travel. Haven't done as much since my LO was born (she's 19 mo), but can't wait to go all the places again in a few years.
5. What area do you live in? (As specific or vague as you want to be). California. After growing up landlocked, it's awesome to be 15 mins from the ocean.

1. How did you get your TCF screen name? We have several cats and a friend of ours calls us the cat farmers, hence mrscatfarmer 2. What is your job? Do you enjoy it? I work in reporting, that's vague. I work with developers to create and test new reports. It's fun, and I'm always learning new things. Flexibility and working from home twice a week are nice perks too.
3. One thing (other than your family/friends) that you couldn't live without. The internet 4. What hobbies do you have? Drinking with my local TCFers? I used to bake and decorate cakes as a hobby, but between family, school and work there's not much time for that.
5. What area do you live in? (As specific or vague as you want to be) Cincinnati area
1. How did you get your TCF screen name? I wanted a super anonymous name when we moved from TB (my old one wasn't super identifiable but I wanted even less personal connection). Inaya means something like help/kindness/concern. I liked the sound of it and the meaning and it wasn't taken so here we are.
2. What is your job? Do you enjoy it? I'm a bookkeeper/office manager/marketing social media person at a small business. My job is morphing right now, and I do like it. It's very flexible and I can do some work from home (when I can find time), which is *really* nice.
3. One thing (other than your family/friends) that you couldn't live without. I'm trying not to overthink this, so I'll say coffee. I usually do decaf so it's not the caffeine kick, I just love coffee.
4. What hobbies do you have? Sewing is a big one, I've been very interested in babywearing and making baby carriers for a while, I also like to read but don't do as much as I'd like. I'm re-reading the Outlandet books right now for the simple reason that they're on my phone and there's just so many of them. They are not good books, though; I barely want to admit I'm reading them more than once.
5. What area do you live in? (As specific or vague as you want to be) Northern California
