Also what about the facebook group they mention? Is that something we should join or is this and the parenting group enough?
Awesome! Welcome! I thought the official FB group was informative but it was overwhelming with the amount of posts. There are a lot of the same questions over and over. I used it to get compliant meal and snack ideas.
The weekly habit practices are on the website under the blog posts but I can post them here When the Challenge starts you will receives emails each week and there are updates on the app too.

would it be terrible to play but not do the food part? My DH is kindly encouraging me not do to do the challenge because he thinks i'm stressed enough and fully flipping our meal plan may not be the best thing for my mental health right now. I'm torn on what to do. I've definitely been slipping a little in my moods and energy and have a psych appt next week.
lonegalathome, the end of the last challenge coincided with my mom's diagnosis and my grandfather getting sick. My food rarely looked great. A bad challenge day is generally better than a good regular day. One day at a time and don't stress if you lose all your nutrition points.

Not at all! There were several weeks where I hardly got any nutrition points at all. I tried to focus on small improvements overall, not just one area. You could always pick one nutrition goal for the whole challenge to improve and not track daily points. My biggest take away from nutrition last time was my breakfast. Once I tried to limit cheese, cereal, waffles, toast, etc. I started to plan ahead each week and make healthier choices that made me feel better like overnight oats, avacado & eggs and yogurt & granola for example. Don't worry about the points. Do as much or as little as you can with the nutrition to fit where you are in your life without adding more stress.

What if I'm going to be away and not near internet or cell service for a week during the challenge? I assume I just miss that week and don't get the points? I"m ok with that.

You get a certain number of "mulligans" based on the level you pick. Kickstart is 3. You always get 24 hours afterward to enter a score - a mulligan allows even later entry. If you'll have internet or cell even a day or two that week- you might not not really miss many/any.
I personally would not stress if you do miss recording some. The challenge is for YOU, not necessarily the score at the end.
Agree with rach! I started late last time and finished dead last in the points. I hardly ever looked at the totals for the team. It is very individual but with lots of team support if that makes any sense.
Hi ladies! I popped over to invite you all to come join us in the thread on Parenting if you want. I want to make sure you know that you're welcome there. It's open to everyone on the team.
Whether you guys hang here or join us or a combo of the two, the team has been my favorite part of the challenge. The support and commiserations are a huge help, especially when the challenge gets mentally tough.
I was going do Lifestyle this time but I've changed my mind. I will stick with Kickstarter. I can't handle any extra pressure right now. It is safe to say that I underestimated how hard moving to a new state with two small kids would be...I'm so stressed.
The challenge will keep me on track and motivated and help me take better care of myself, which I really need right now. Counting down until 5/20!

Awesome! Welcome We can def chat here and most people on the team will talk on the WLC thread on Parenting. Every day we will write a reflection of how the day went and anything we are thinking/feeling in the app/website too and people can like your reflection and post comments, similar to Facebook.

I will likely have no nutrition points left by the time this day is over! Fundraiser, birthday party and company over today. Just keep at it one day at a time. You can always just eliminate one non-compliant food at a time too.

Sorry for delay in responding. Busy day for me today. At the end of the day record your scores and a reflection of how the day went in the WLC app or website. So you would get points for excercising for 10 min, stretching, drinking your water requirement, etc. If you haven't already filled out the assessments you can do that now too. Let me know if you have any questions along the way! I know it is overwhelming at first. This is not a competition at all! Just try to take it one day at a time and make small improvements and you will notice a difference in a few weeks
