One dog has a vet appointment today. So I'll take him after I drop off R at day care.
Sign up starts to day for spring 2 classes at the Y. I am debating on if I should sign him up for rughoppers again. I know for sure we are doing swim lessons on Saturday mornings. He really likes it but I am kind of sick of the group of moms that have their children in the same class.

FFTC I still need to get our taxes filed! So that is my plan for today.

Yawn. M was up early and I was up earlier than her. I went to take my temp, only to realize I'd taken it at some unknown point MOTN that I was awake enough to do that. No wonder I'm tired. I also dreamed my kid climbed out of her crib. Noooo.

2 kids are not feeling well. We are having dd's birthday party on Saturday so um really hoping they just have colds...and recover quickly.

Good morning!
G is playing nicely on her own. We are up in her room. I may take out stickers to have some sticker fun. Then later maybe we will color. The librarian gave us a page to color yesterday. It has a flower on it. I will have her color it and give to to my stepmom for Easter.

The sun needs to come out and start drying stuff up from last night's rain. We're meeting friends at the park in a little while.

There are 70 degree temps predicted in the 10 day forecast and it's making me so happy.

We missed library time because a plumber had to come fix our hot water tank. W was scared of the doorbell/him, but when she heard him walking up the stairs she thought it was H so she ran over clapping, yelling " Da da da!"

Also we're team binkie at our house. Girl is obsessed. I limit it to bed and car or when her teeth we're really bad.

I thought about trying to break the habit, but with a newbie on the way I didn't want to rock her world or create jealousy if the baby takes one.

I'm meh on it.

We got rid of Gs paci a week or two ago. It was bad for like 3 days. She only used it for sleep anyway so it was 3 days of shitty naps (which is normal for her anyway) and a few tears at bedtime.
I thought it was going to be so much worse. I was terrified. I don't care if other little ones have a paci. Our littles still need comfort. If that is what makes your kid happy, I say go for it. I took it away because she didn't really need it anymore.

Found out yesterday DD has walking pneumonia!
I thought it was a bad cold.

linny12 I did not want to take away Ks paci at all before the baby came!! My pedi didn't want K taking Rs paci and since K only used one in her crib; we got rid of it cold turkey. My pedi really pushed for us to get rid of it by 18 months, so when she knew number 2 was coming she convinced me to get rid of it well before baby arrived. (which I wasn't even considering) It was one night of crying and the paci was gone. Now she sees R with one and has no interest in it. She knows "it's for babies" and I'm very relieved it went so smoothly. But I probably wouldn't have done it if I wasn't guilted by my pedi. Do what you think is best!

I would do 30 days before she starts at the new one. That way the sitter has some time to get another client

Do you have a contract? Sometimes they tell you how much notice to give.

Given your ladies history of randomly cancelling, I'd wait until until the end of the school year. That way if she turns on you, you aren't at a loss. But I'd give some notice so that she can find a new kid or she doesn't turn away a new family.

We are considering having DH quit and be a stay at home dad. Right now 90% of his paycheck goes to daycare. We can survive on just my pay (which we sort of already are anyway).

Eli is refusing to eat at daycare because it's too loud there and he gets anxious, and they aren't doing the potty training like they promised.

Time to make some big changes and decisions.

The park was great, the sun came out and the weather was perfect. We were there for ages. Now M is napping curled up in a blanket. I don't know why but it's giving me all the feels that she's out of her sleep sack. (At least for naps, thus far she hasn't taken it off at bed so I think I'll keep it then.)

Exactly. That and I won't be so stressed to run home and cook and clean. I work full time and then work at night running my design firm (freelance company). I don't have time or energy to do it all, and DH throwing his paycheck basically in the trash makes zero sense.

F'ing daycare. All of my money goes to day care, too. But once I'm licensed I should get a big pay raise, so I'm hoping this pays off. That and I love my job and her daycare.

All this to say that daycare steals my paycheck too and it's unfair. And it's the #1 reason we won't consider another kid.
